Value for Money

Great value for money - rooms are little small though so ask for two twin beds - they must be larger than the double!

I Do Not Recommend This Hotel

My teenage daughter and I needed a last minute hotel in Bloomsbury. We booked a double at $600 a night. I have stayed in multiple Holiday Inn Express in the US which provided a better experience than this Holiday Inn. Keith, who took our luggage to storage, was the best employee. He was very helpful with questions. The concierge was helpful when he was directly asked questions. Everyone else was not particularly helpful or courteous. Brooke checked us in and coughed all over us. She said she had been ill since she moved to London. The bartender forgot about my coffee. He apologized 15 minutes later when someone else asked me if I had been helped and reminded him. The room only had one robe. I called housekeeping the morning of the second day and requested a second robe so my daughter and I wouldn't have to share. The woman in housekeeping didn't understand English and thought I wanted a doctor. It took me several minutes to convince her to not send the doctor. She said she would tell the maid to provide a second robe - this never materialized. The inside of the refrigerator in the mini bar was warmer than the room. There was no safe in the room - apparently the sixth floor double rooms do not have them. I requested ice be brought to the room - this never materialized so I got two glasses of ice at the bar. It was an awful experience.

Expensive but tiny room

At £318 for the one night stay i found this expensive for a hotel in this category. The room was tiny and you could hardly walk past the bottom of the bed.

Overnight stay

This hotel is very convenient if you have a son/daughter living at the intercolligatge halls in Cartwright Gardens as it is a stones throw away. We arrived tired after a 5 hour trip on the M6 only to arrive and find no parking except for a car park under the building which charged £20 for the night unless you want to park on single yellow and get up the crack of dawn to shift your car .It would be an idea if The Holiday Inn could maybe offer a discount for Guests parking?
There is an irish bar attached to the hotel (access from main lobby as well as outside )which does an excellent pint of Guinness but expect London prices. The music from this bar is too loud, my fiance and I love live music and go to alot of gigs but this wasnt live it was just noisy chart music, it meant you couldn't hold a conversation or even worse on checking into the hotel we could hardly hear the receptionist. Hope the hotel notes this negative comment... Turn the music down!!!!! There is no need,!!!!!!!!! Staff lovely and very helpful. Room clean but a little too hot. Breakfast brilliant!!

Holiday Inn Bloomsbury

Good 4 star standard but has become very expensive in recent years probably due to the proximity the Eurostar terminal and the general improvement of the surrounding Russell Square area.
