After staying at this Holiday Inn I regretted recently throwing out my cumbersome non-flat screen tv as i should've donated it to this hotel. Not only was it tiny and cumbersome but even my ancient tv had better viewing quality. It was an interesting artefact for my 10 year old, on the other hand, who might have enjoyed it if only to distract him from freezing in a room where the heating wasn't working. Nonetheless there was a kind handyman to give us some tlc and a spare heater. Fortunately we stuffed ourselves with some not too bad food as despite our most valiant efforts we were unable to pierce the rolls given to us at breakfast (which hopefully post dated the tv). By then we were too weary to call for the handyman (for a hammer perhaps?) and forlornly joined the heaving crowds at the lift for our 15 minute journey down to check out (no, we didn't take the stairs) but finally managed to escape after docilely paying our almost £250 bill. Fortunately my son is still oblivious to such terms as 'value for money'!
