A building site!

We initially had problems finding the hotel because it had changed names! From Hesperia to Double Tree! The place was quite literally a building site. They were completely re-fitting and we had not been warned about this. The unstaffed make-shift bar was a joke. The room was lovely and the location perfect but had we known about all of the building works we would have stayed at the Grosvenor next door.

They are refurbishing the entrance

I was disappointed to arrive to the reception being a building site. Work is being done on the reception and I do not feel this is being handled properly. I was not made ware prior to booking.

Theatre break

Incredibly easy hotel to find just outside victoria train station, very nice reception and welcome, instantly upgraded free of charge to the executive room, nice room, warm, clean, huge bed, flat screen tv and all the other standard gimmicks, Only down side is that it is quite noisy with the train station close by but the hotel cannot help that, !!!one thing to avoid at all costs is the wetherspoon pub just down the road one word !awful!

Birthday Surprise

We were offered to upgrade our room, which I did, and wish i had not of bothered, it was a very basic double room. However, the bed was comfortable.

Good hotel and location

The hotel is well located so convenient. My room was well laid out although would have been good to have Sky Sports channels. Only one minor inconvenience was having to fill in a card on arrival repeating info given when booking online and the check-in and check-out processes are slower than in other hotels.

Customer Service

Paid £199.00 for one night this did not include breakfast expecting a further £13 per person, not justified for the position of the Hotel being next to the station, workers starting at the train station at 6am in the morning, windows were shut but still could hear the noise. requested a taxi to be called to reception in the evening as it was raining heavy outside, informed by reception to walk around to the taxi rank outside the train station. On checking out informed that if we had booked the room the morning of arrival we would of paid £140 giving us a saving of £59. appalling,

Good quality hotel very close to Victoria Station

The Hesperia is in a great location, just come out of the side of Victoria Station and it is facing you. We had a good stay in a quiet room at the back of the hotel on the first floor. The room was well furnished and the bed very comfortable althought initially they tried to offer us a twin room even though we had booked a double. In the room we had a mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was looking a bit tired and could have done with some new tiling although everything looked clean. We ordered room service as we arrived back late, it arrived within half an hour and was excellent if not expensive! £45 for two caesar salds, two garlic breads and two lemonades! All in all a good hotel but very expensive, we paid £230 for one double room for the night and breakfast was not included!!!

Noisy

Staff seemed very robotic and uninterested. Room was nice, modern look but a little tired in places. The biggest let down was the noise. The front of the hotel is very loud, you’re 25 metres from the train lines and 2 metres from a 3 lane road. Stay in this hotel because of it’s location to Victoria and central London but I would recommend staying here for any other reason than it’s location. i would stay here again, but not go as far as recommending it.
