As we stayed just one night we decided to endure the room, but rest assured more than one night and we would have moved hotels. The receptionist was very helpful and the bed sheets were clean, after that there were no positives. The room was old fashioned, dusty (dirty in places), the carpet was grubby, the floor uneven, the window didn't close properly and there was a large hole in the cieling. The bathroom was functional, yet un-alluring, the shower was warm but a little compact and, well, scummy, not to mention the broken tile on the bathroom floor that stuck to my bare foot as I left !!!! Great location to be fair, but in desperate need of renovation.....or even a little spring clean !!!

Someone forgot to vacuum the room. In the middle of the carpet there was an old chip (Macdonlds style) and various pieces of plastic. The carpet was full of iron burns. I can only describe the shower as grungy, limescale marks, some mold. The plughole of the basin was full of hair, which was obviously so old it was almost white with limescale residue!!<br />And to top it off, the WiFi was not working, but the guy at the desk was very helpful and apologetic though

No mini-bar, remote controls for TV handed out at reception, room smelled of bo, bathroom was not clean, everything was old apart from the new beds which were not very comfortable. Light fittings were broken, not all the plug sockets worked and the walls were paper thin. The only thing great was the location. And to top it off they nicked a packet of peanuts which we had left on the table. Overall I would not stay here ever again.

Great central location and although the decor is a bit tired, the rooms are clean with everything you need for a short stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful and I'd definitely go back there.

We booked the Hadleigh Hotel supposedly for four nights accomodation in London. Upon arrival our first impressions of the property from the street were not very good. The entrance looked dirty and untidy with cracked tiles on the stairs. When we looked at the room we were bitterly dissappointed, so much so that we went straight out to find alternate accommodation, which thankfully we did! The room was stifling, when we enquired if the heating was on, we were assured it was not.The next morning whilst packing to leave we discovered the heating was on and very hot.The bathroom was not very clean and not really what we would call a bathroom. The bath towels were so old and rotten they tore whilst using them to dry off after a shower. Being on street level, it was very noisy. The glass in one of the windows was cracked from top to bottom and extremely dangerous. When we finally managed to get to sleep, we were rudely awoken by someone demanding to be let in, to the point where they were banging on the window of our room. We felt very uneasy and threatened. When we spoke to reception the next day about the incident, we were dismissed saying "There is a night bell for use after hours and there should have been a night watcman."It appears that both of these devices are useless?? Of all the accomodation we used throughout England this would be by far the worst we had to endure. We were only too glad to escape from the room the next morning and hightail it to our alternate accommodation. For an extra ten pounds a night we were in a far nicer place, which also included a hot English breakfast. We hope that we never have to stay somewhere like that again. For the kind of money we were paying you could find four star accomodation in Australia.

Stayed in a triple room, it was fantastic! It was not a 2 star hotel, all be it not as clean in some parts of the hotel but that is central london! It had clean bedroom and bathroom and the facilities were excellent! If you book, ask for the triple room, number 11! I suspect the other rooms are standard 2 star but room 11 is a flat in the basement! Great value for money!

There were 3 of us and we were expecting 3 beds in a room. What we got was a 2 bed apartment with kitchen and sitting room, with everything you could expect - hairdrier, iron, kettle with tea and coffee etc. The bathroom wasn't dirty but could have done with a good scrub to get rid of the mildew apart from that everything was excellent.
