Unexpectedly upgraded

As a one night only internet booker (on this occasion), and the hotel being full, I was taken by surprise when I was upgraded to a gorgeous suite. Made the stay a memorable one.

Such a brand name hotel should let the new comers feel as they expected but i got checked when i saw the room's Décor beside room's door does not close well.
over all rating does not worth to pay that much for this type of room

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times , but this will be the last , upgraded to an executive room for an extra £70 , very small , no view just overall a poor experience have stayed in better3 star hotels , a bill for £470 for one night no extras a rip off .

Lovely

The Grosvener House is an elegant hotel with very helpful staff. We were treated to an upgrade as well as being able to check in early with ease. A hansdsome room awaited us and the room was fresh, quiet and pleasing.

Very disappointing

Having booked through Laterooms.com I felt I ought to ring the hotel directly and check that all was well with the booking. I also wanted to notify them that my partner, who was flying in from the States, would quite possibly arrive before me and give them his name (since the booking was in my name). I was told to ring back on the day of the booking, which I did, and on both occassions I found the staff very surly and unhelpful. On the morning I checked out I asked for directions to the nearest tube station and again found the staff less than helpful. I was surprised and dismayed at the dire level of service. To cap it all we had a debacle with the bill, despite having given them clear instructions and one week after having stayed there both my partner's and my credit card have still been charged for the same bill. I have had to make several calls to the accounts department to resolve this and am still waiting for mine to be credited. I don't expect this at a top London hotel and I will certainly not stay there again.
