I've stayed at this hotel a few times...
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and have always been impressed by the service and the general feel of the hotel. My only criticism is that the rooms, though reasonably large to start with, are crammed with furnishings and there is little spare space. On this trip the room had three single beds and was crammed (it also had two washbasins in the toilet!) with chest of drawers etc. With 2 single or 1 double it would have been better. I've stayed at other Grange hotels - all have this tendency to over fill the rooms.
However, good value for money and fine if you are only staying a night or two. Otherwise I think you might develop claustrophobia

I found this hotel to be in a great location. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. The room seemed expensive, but I havent compared this to any other LOndon city centre hotels so it may actually be very competitive (who knows!).
Overall, I thought it was a good choice and I will use this hotel again.

Just a couple of minutes walk from Victoria Street in great area - very quiet and with a very impressive looking cricket ground just across the road. Friendly and helpful staff and nice room. We only stopped one night and didn't use the restaurant or bar but would certainly stay again if we needed accommodation in that part of the city.

I stayed at this hotel in July. Never again - it has no air conditioning. I sweltered in my small room, with windows that hardly opened and under a sea of bedding that I had to remove from the bed. Awfull. Terrible night with no sleep as too hot.
The breakfast was 12 for already cooked eggs and self service with weak coffee. Not brilliant. Even though I paid in advance for my room, they wanted 20 cash for a desposit, which I wasn't convinced was polite or necessary.
This hotel is dated. Try somewhere else, you can get more for your money.

I haven't had a bad hotel experience in a long time...but this hotel was a real stinker.
It was as if they were doing me a huge favor by letting me stay. They were very rude at check in(too long a story and frankly can't be bothered.) And very rude at check out. Room was hilariously small and not very clean. Noisy, dusty...just not up to snuff.
It may have been a bargain, but I wished I'd paid twice as much to stay somewhere else.
Stay away if you need a good nights sleep and clean room.

to begin with for the cost per night...
to begin with for the cost per night i would have expected breakfast to be included, also i'm not happy that a deposit by credit card was demanded and not only was i not informed that this was required prior to my stay but even though i did not require any extras like room service still had to give credit card details. that said the bed was comfortable and the room clean and warm, however there were patches of poor service or repair work in the bathroom which again is pretty poor given the outer presentation of the hotel. the bathroom also had no drainage so that when the water from the shower came past the uterely too short shoewer door it left a rather unsafe condition on the floor which had to be soaked up using one of my towels usually used for my own hygiene purposes.ther ewas also a detached restaurant to the side of the hotel with the same name and had a more pleasing pricing structure than that of the main hotel restuarant however this was closed with clear signage to the contrary with no explanation as to why. in conclusion this hotel needs a drastic look at itself with referance to the cost and ratio of standard.

At the price I paid through Laterooms (78) for a single en-suite, without breakfast, the hotel is worth it, compared to others in the same bracket and location. It is a little faded in places but the hotel is generally very nice and clean, with friendly staff. The food was OK but I felt it was a bit pricey for what it was. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel because it was some rediculous price like 12. I didn't see many restaurants in the area from the direction I approached the hotel (from the river) but there were certainly some cafes to get breakfast. The room was very much a single but sufficient, with the usual bits like coffee/tea, trouser press (although this was inside a cupboard which wasn't really very convenient for using it).

No parking!! never thought such a Hotel would not have parking space. The customer service was apatic and indifferent. They nucked on the door at 8:00 AM on the last day to remind us for the sign out when we had to leave at 11:00 AM as per Hotel T&C. Toilet bit was broken and overall below expected standards.

Even at the reduced price, I did not feel this was sufficiently special to be value for money. We did not eat in the restaurant, because we felt the price for the breakfast was excessive. I can make no comment about other catering, as we were out and about. The room was comfortable enough, but quite small, and we had minor quibbles about the leaking tap in the bathroom and the quality of the television. No major problems, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I would certainly not consider this at full price! but it was adequate.

First impressions were good: the hotel is very central but tucked away, so very quiet at night. Hotel staff were polite and efficient. Room itself was very small but had most of the appropriate facilities one would expect; would have preferred an iron rather than a trouser press. Decor was quite old though, and very 'tired' in places. Room looked well used and was generally clean; a lot of the bathroom surfaces looked messy but that was mostly due to age. Some of the fittings looked very much on their last legs.
Non-smoking room but the smell of tobacco was quite evident - not an issue for myself but it could easily put others off. The bed certainly wasn't a "double" but a "size-and-a-half"; again, not a problem for myself but if you'd purposely booked a double bed, you'd be quite disappointed. Room was *very* warm and the bedding thicker than Arctic survival gear: better than being cold, of course.

I booked this hotel for a nice place to stay for me and my girlfriend after a day trip to the theatre in London. The rooms didn't seem too pricey considering the positive reviews the hotel had got so I went for the executive double, which cost 130 at the time. The hotel deserves the good reviews it has got so far, the room was nice and large, clean, and had a balcony overlooking a park. The customer service from the staff was good also.
One small negative is that the prices of food and room service seemed quite high, although probably no worse than the average london hotel. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel resteraunt and found a nearby mexican resteraunt instead. The breakfast was a buffet, expensive but the choice of food was good.

Wonderful hotel for the price! Would recommend requesting the upper floors as the traffic noise was somewhat loud - not bad if the windows were closed. Large bathtub and the room was very clean. (We stayed again in this hotel 10 days later and got a room on the first floor - definately older, not as large, bathroom room was not as clean or as large as on our first visit, the mattresses were slightly saggy, and could smell cigarette smoke from people smoking outside). But very friendly staff. Great location - close to Victoria Station. Somewhat difficult to locate at first. Would definately stay again - requesting the 4th floor only. Ask for one of the newer rooms when arriving. Large construction project happening directly across the street.
