Good Central London hotel

Booked through Hotels-London.co.uk. On arrival was told that room was unavailable due to maintainance but was provided with an equivalent room in a sister hotel a few hundred yards away. No problems with the switch and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend to friends.

This hotel is in a fantastic location just off Great Portland Street. I was slightly concerned when i approached the hotel as there was a sign outside advising that the hotel was being renovated. That being said there was no noise when checking in at 6pm or checking out at 8am. My double room was small but clean and functional and fine for one person. I'm not sure if there was wifi available but there was information on how to connect through a cable for internet access.
I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food as there are so many restaurant choices nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful and i would stay at this hotel again. Great value for money.

Staff friendly, room on small side, facing street but not particularly noisy (always travel with earplugs anyway). Breakfast expensive, so went to nearby diner. Good value and quality meals at neighbouring pub Crown and Sceptre.

Cheap hotel in the West End

I booked this hotel for myself and a colleague as we were attending a conference nearby. The hotel was conveniently located for us though the room was small. The bathroom was a little out of date and there was no air conditioning, there were 2 fans though that we found in the cupboard. These were needed as we stayed during the heatwave in October. The bar was small with limited stock but it was open at 1.00am.

Very convenient for a London tourist

Well equipped clean and attractive room all be it very small but they had packed a lot in. The down side being there is not much room to move around in it. The double bed fills the room but it had all we needed. I would not have wanted to have stayed in the heat of the summer as it was very warm especially being so small and with no aircon. However, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and it was in a great location for a weekend break being just off Regent Street.

A great little hideaway...

Having stayed here a number of times now, I fully recommend it for its location, cleanliness and value for money. Very close to Oxford Circus/Regent Street etc, it has fantastic restaurants and bars on its doorstep. A good hotel in a great location.

Room was comparatively small but clean with all the essentials, and the bed was very comfortable. Some outside noise until after midnight and dustbins collected around 6am, which cannot be avoided, but could not be blocked out because the window had to be open to keep the room cool. Extensive buffet breakfast, but only take it if you are hungry because it is expensive !

Good

Good quality, value and service at a great central London location room was tidy and well-appointed. Hotel is well-presented with some pleasing character features like marble flooring and solid brass lift doors! Staff were courteous and very helpful.

Booked last minute and a great value deal for a one night stay close to the RSM. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. I did not take breakfast, so no comment on the food.
The room was pleasant enough and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely re-visit this hotel.

Veggy food not great

Nice hotel. Could benefit from double glazing in the room, and windows that close properly, especially when it is bitterly cold, but adequate heating was provided. Main gripe is the restaurant - £17.62 for a continental breakfast, another £6 for cooked, and a very disappointing evening meal. Veg stir fry with noodles it said, but it was all noodles with just a few slithers of veg. Chef must learn that veggies like vegetables, not loads of noodles, pasta and rice! Apart from that, stay was fine.

Review of 1 night stay at Grange Langham Court Hotel, November 2010

The hotel is very well placed for our shopping trip, being only a few minute's walk from Oxford Circus. It's a quiet location, and the exterior of the hotel is very attractive. My room (twin bedded) was adequate, but rather small. It was clean and nicely furnished. Staff were very helpful, though we thought £17 for breakfast was expensive and opted to eat elswhere. I could only spot two plug sockets in the room, which as one was for the TV and the other for the kettle, wasn't enough, given the need for laptops, charging mobile phones etc.

I cannot recommend this place !

Very cold room, and very poor breakfast service. Our order for toast and coffee was taken, and then we were forgotten while other people arriving after us were served. When it came, the coffee was awful. Breakfast is a totally extortionate price - nearly eighteen pounds, each ! The only good thing about our stay was LateRoom's price of 69,88 for the room: it is a stone's throw from Oxford Street, after all.

The hotel was presented quite nicely and it was clean, however the furniture in the room looked tired and worn out. The shower didn't have any pressure and the rear jets were broken. Overall the hotel felt very dated and in need of a renovation/update, in order to justify the price of a room. We didn't try the hotel food as it was very pricey as breakfast was £25 per person!

The most comfortable bed ever

We only stayed one night after a theatre trip, but it was excellent value for money and the room was clean and spacious. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on and I had a great nights sleep.
