Noisy but tolerable if you are heavy sleeper

The trains are basically next to the window. I was tired and by myself. I did not mind the noise to keep me awake. When I slept I did not take a notice of them. I woke up the following day at 5 am. I am not sure if it was because of the trains or I had enough sleep. I was able to finish some work so I am not complaining! Personally I would stay again. Close to the station and reasonable price.

For a deep sleeper this was a steal at £69pppn

A fantastic studio apartment in an up and coming area. Would have been a great base for staying for a few nights. The trains ran all night but infrequently - most did not disturb me (some did). I would not recommend this for anyone who is not a deep sleeper, however, if I can get the same price (£69pppn) I would happily stay for many nights using this as a base for working in or exploring London. Clean, modern, well furnished, comfortable and practical. It is a short (10m) walk from the nearest tube station but that was no issue for me.

Great value for money!

I was travelling alone and needed a room for getting to the olympic park early the next morning. The room rate was incredibly good value for money given the very high standard of the room, and close to the jubilee line station to get to stratford in less than 20 minutes. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Not too bad

Stayed for 3 nights for the London Marathon and to be honest i didn't get much sleep considering the apartment i got was literally 10ft away from the numerous London Bridge train lines, they didn't stop until after midnight and started up again around 4am. When you've just done a marathon you need as much rest as possible and i only got about 3 hours sleep. If your wanting to have a good nights sleep don't stay in the gatehouse apartments. the room was very nice and i quite liked it having everything you need already there but the TV volume had to go on loud because of the trains.

Gatehouse Apartments, Tower Bridge area

Fantastic, modern apartment; plenty of space & good facilities, including: dishwasher, washing machine, freeview, oven; plus complimentary coffees, teas, biscuits & toiletries. Felt safe for a lone traveller, too - good looking neighbour, but was too shy to talk to him! ;-D

Very nice indeed

And you don't hear the train from the bedroom, even though the website warns you of them.
Be careful getting to the appartment though. I walked from London Bridge tube, and though it wasn't a long walk it was quiet and the last road up to the building isn't very well lit.
Take a taxi there if you're on your own is my advice.

Nice accomodation but beware of trains

The accomodation was very good and it is a great location close to Tower Bridge. The only issue was that the room I was allocated was close to the London Bridge railway line which meant it was noisy until midnight and then the train noise began again around 6am. Apart from this the facilities were spot on.

Apartment 70 The Maltings

My colleague and arrive quite late on the Thursday evening for 1 night's stay. The apartment was lovely, spacious clean and warm. We went out for the evening and returned around midnight. The next morning we awoke around 7.00 a.m. to a cold apartment and no hot water. There was no way of contacting reception so I had to call the number on my booking confirmation, they apologised and would send a maintnenance engineer when he came on duty between 8.00 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. - he arrived at 08.10 and discovered that in fact the heating/hot water were not even turned on! (the warmth in the apartment the evening before was residual). The bad news was that it would take approximately an hour for both to warm up, so I had a cold shower as I had to leave at 9.00 a.m. to get to work. I was extremely disappointed to receive no more than an apology from Reception when I checked out - no offer of compensation or proportionate refund, which was a shame as I thought everything else about the experience was excellent.
