Was in London attending a training course and spotted this hotel. As I was travelling alone I only needed a single room. I was given room 102 which although compact, was very comfortable and clean with a window and small balcony overlooking Queensbury Place at the front of the Hotel, small en-suite bathroom but with big shower cubicle and coffee/tea making facilities. The hotel staff were excellent (both courteous and professional) and I was very well looked after. I would also like to say a huge thankyou specifically to Francesca (Reception) and Katrine (Manager) for their assistance during my stay.
Breakfast facilities were very good and the english and continental breakfasts were tasty. It should be noted though that breakfast is not included in the cost of your room (full english was 12 when I stayed). Although there is no evening restaurant, the hotel were happy to provide meals from their menus either as room service (additional 2 charge) or for consumption in the hotel lounge and the prices were very reasonable (ranging from 7.50 to around 15 if I remember correctly)
Based on my 3 night stay, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It is a short 2 minute walk from South kensington tube and near all of the main museums.

Room cleanliness was ok. Generous with toiletries and towels. Rooms small although that is not a big deal to me. It seems if you book a 'Late Rooms' deal you get no view, although, again not a big deal to me. The pillows are like concrete and actually strain your neck but our biggest complaint is that they neglect to tell you there is a Nightclub in the basement of next door, the bass sound of which literally shook our room until 3am! I have stayed in many hotels in London and this is by far the worst. Never again.

I read the previous reviews on this hotel after i had made the booking and was a little concerned.
However i found the hotel to be well sited, very clean and the staff extremely friendly.
I booked a single room and thats certainly what i got. Very small with no real view. The on suite was rather dated. For me on a crash visit it was fine, but 4* may be a little generous.
I didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. breakfast would have been 8/12 depending on the menu.

Booked a standard room at 90 / night excluding breakfeast.
I was given a windowless room ( room # 37 ) and the only explanation of the hotel is that they usually try to avoid booking this type of room !
I do not understand how a hotel which offers windowless rooms can qualify as 4 stars AA !
On top of this the TV has no remote and you cannot use it.
Overall, one of the most unsatisfying stays of my life ( I travel quite a bit ).
Accommodation adequate and reasonably priced for Central London. I wouldn't say the hotel was 4 stars as it was a bit drab in areas and the service seemed a bit lacking.

Whilst we accept that the room was listed as a 'special offer' I cannot imagine that the hotel could ever command the 225 per night listed as the normal rate.
The room was described as 'executive' in that it was supposed to be of a higher grade than standard - perish the poor souls in standard is all that I can say.
The room was very dark even with the drapes open and overlooked a very grim looking fire escape.
The metal fittings to the bath were de chroming the bath itself having a large and very unnatractive water stain approximately 12" in diameter below the joint shower/tap fitting.
The hot water tap in the sink dripped continuously.
The wooden toilet seat had a split at the front running horizontally from front to back and gaped when sat upon.
I did get a glimse of the room opposite whilst it was being cleaned and noted that it was remarkebly better, could it be that these late rooms are kept specific for this purpose and only utilised when absolutely necessary?

Several small items required minor maintenance e.g. light bulbs not working, cracks in glass in windows, missing handles from chest of drawers, loose tiles on bathroom floor. Shower in bath difficult to adjust for temperture - swings between too hot and too cold.
Generally better value for money at other local hotels.

I found this hotel tobe totally over priced and second rate,The faclities were second rate. There was a fridge but no mini bar there were cups but no kettle . there was no sound proofing in the windows,(next to a main road) , the shower consisted of a couple of jets of water spraying at different angles, the bath was fit for the tip .

I used to stay at this hotel or the Gallery 4-5 years ago. Since then, as pleasant as this small hotel is, the room quality, size and food is not good enough to justify the price. At c.140/night this hotel now needs to do better - breakfast not included!! I would stay again - but only if other hotels on my "favourite" list are full. Having said that, the staff are friendly, very helpful and the hotel is nicely located for travel around around London, with some good restaurants nearby.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed...
This is the worst hotel I have stayed in, and I stay in a lot of them at the moment. Both receptionist showed a complete lack of awareness. When a customer is stood in front of you dripping wet from the rain, its not good practice to stay on the phone to your friend. I stayed in two different rooms. Room 39 was passable as a twin but Room 21 is a box downstairs. When you walk down the corridor to get to the room it smells of damp and the room itself you couldn't swing a cat in. Now, why someone would want to take a cat in to a very small room, let alone swing it, had been beyond me. However, at 4am I was woken by the scampering of feet as a mouse headed for a night feast in my M&S goodie bag. For the next couple of hours, it scuttled backwards and forwards between its new found bounty and the wardrobe.
If you have circa 130 to spend on a room in this area, do not spend it here. There are plenty of other hotels to stay in around the area for about the same price or even less that offer a much better level of service
