Quiet, clean and safe. Perfect for a woman on her own in busy London
Summary
A really pleasant find in central London. The single room was of a high quality and there were lots of little touches such as complimentary tooth brush and toiletries that made a difference. A good range of tea and coffee.

Fabulous location a lovely clean and friendly hotel
Summary
Room described as 'superior' was smaller than expected. I was concerned about the lack of a lift and the steep, tight stairs
Summary
My room was upgraded from a single to a double.
I liked it very much and would be happy to stay here again.
It was very close to all the areas I wanted to visit and whilst not providing food it was close
to all amenities.
Room 12. Small, very clean. well decorated and fitted with TV, DVD, tea and coffee facilities and quality shower ensuit. For just over £100 per night I thought great value for this part of London.
Summary
Very quick processing, no hassle, recommended
Summary
Fielding Hotel is een pleasant hotel a couple of minutes away from Govent Garden. Helpfull staf, clean rooms and quiet location. Although breakfast is not provided, Govent Garden is a perfect neighbourhood for an excellent breakfast experience.
Summary
This hotel is a great find for us! Nearby Bills is a great place for breakfast! We loved it!
Summary
Spotless, great position, small but adequate single room which was brilliant value at around £55. Very friendly staff
Summary
Fantastic location, friendly staff, comfortable room, very good value for money, everything you need for a night out in London.
Summary
Excellent location, and very helpful staff, but note that there are a lot of stairs to some of the rooms and there's no lift. An excellent hotel overall.
Summary
The facilities and customer service was excellent. Very good for business or leisure.
Summary
Nice small hotel right by the Royal Opera House. Comforbale but small room well appointed. Consdiering the location not noisy.
Summary
Excellent position for appearing in the RCJ
Summary
Very nice great for the West End. Highly Recommended!
Summary
We had a family room & it was perfect. We were in the basement, so no natural light but that didn't matter. The hotel is in a great location, funky & good customer service. Would stay again.
Summary
I stayed in a single room on the 2nd floor .The room was small but spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed . I would definitely stay again -it is quiet and very convenient for Covent Garden
Summary
This small hotel is just about faultless and the refurb. is almost complete as at late Sept 2011. My room at the back was very quiet. Good standard and taste of decor; walk-in shower in bathroom with quality Edwardian-style fittings; wall mounted air-con unit; FS TV; teas/coffee making. No breakfasts but good choice anyway within 500m. Airline-type toothbrush/eyeshade kit, a nice touch. Only blip is that you can hear other guest's (muffled) footfall in the room above you.
Summary
Excellent location - 2 minutes from tube Covent Garden, which direct line(40 min) to Heathrow airport, quiet street next to Opera house, exceptionally friendly service, room small but clean with convenient beds, no continental breakfast, but plenty of tea, coffee and milk, a supermarket across the tube station with excellent and low priced food.
Summary
The room was right next to the street and therefore noisy. Was woken up in the morning by work going on outside. The window did not open and the fan and air conditioning were noisy. However the staff are very friendly and the location is excellent.
Summary
My en-suite room was very small but was clean, quiet had everything that you would require for a short stay.
I have paid less for a larger room, but the convience of the location made it worth while in my opinion, however,
I would not have paid the full price for a room that size had I not recieved the discounted rate via Late Rooms.
The hotel location is perfect, just a short 4 or 5 minute walk in to Covent Garden and 10 minutes or so from the West End, Soho and China town.
The Fielding Hotel is all you need for a stay in central London. We had a quad room which was perfect for us. Two double beds interconnecting both with air con and a fab wet room to share although be warned the floor can get very slippy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and all our needs were met. Although there is no restaurant in the hotel there are plenty of restaurants cafes and shops close by. This hotel is a 2 min walk to Covent Garden and a great base for exploring London.
Summary
This hotel is in an amazing location!! right in the middle of Covent Garden. We had a twin room that was well decorated, comfortable beds, stairs in the room leading to an area for making hot drinks, drying hair and the bathroom with a double shower. We booked through late rooms so it was £30 cheaper per night than going direct. I will be using this hotel next time I go definately.
Summary
We chose the Fielding Hotel because of its location, within easy walking distance of the Shaftesbury Theatre but in a quiet, pedestrian street.
The first impression as you arrive is that the reception area is very small, and that the stairs and landings are quite narrow and rather gloomy - there's no lift. We booked superior double room and were fortunate (in the circumstances) to be allocated a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel, overlooking the gardens of the building next door. Our room was on two levels with the main accomodation on the top level and stairs down to an area with a desk/telephone and the bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a nice range of options on the tea and coffee tray, and a good selection of toiletries; even a toothbrush and tiny tube of toothpaste left on the pillow.
The only issue was that the room was so stifling hot! The temperature had reached around 30C in London over the previous few days but the provision of two fans was doing nothing more than move the baking hot air around the room. We were lucky that we had a second floor room at the back of the hotel, and that some of the windows could be opened - we opened every possible window and risked leaving them open while we went out for the evening, returning to a room that was still hot but at least bearable.
To give the hotel credit where due, there are obvious signs throughout that air-conditioning is being installed. It was just slightly frustating to see the brand new air-conditioning unit on the wall in the corner of our room; installed but not yet operational.
In summary, this is very nice hotel in a great location but, especially if you're planning to stay in the summer, make sure you get a room where the newly-installed air-con is working.
PS - If you are staying at the Fielding Hotel, the Freemasons Hall, just around the corner, is well worth a visit. It's a great Art Deco building and there's no charge for entrance to the museum or for the optional tour.
We were very happy we chosen this hotel. It was close to everything we wanted to do when we stay..
Although in a wonderful position for the opera house and for touring london, for the money that we paid we did expect a higher standard in the room, the carpet was very tatty around the edges, we had no light bulb in the standard lamp, there was a lot of marks on the walls and the bedding although it was clean could do with an upgrade, instead of a couple of grotty blankets, maybe a pretty throw or nice quilt with pretty covers would have looked nicer, also some nice crisp white nets at the curtains would spruce the rooms up as well.
Summary
The room was very small but the hotel is in a good location and the reception was friendly and helpful. Excellent value at the Late Rooms price but I'm not sure that it would be worth booking at the full price.
Summary
Lovely old building, Perfect accomodation bang in the middle of covent garden, within walking distance of three or four tube stations. Very comfortable , warm, and stylish room. Especially lovely fabrics. If I was being picky I would say the bathroom was a bit cold and perhaps the paintwork needs a bit of refreshing, but very minor complaints when all the positive aspects are considered.
Summary
First time stayed here and pleasantly surprised. Nice and quiet and didn't have to use the complimentary ear plugs. Very clean and comfortable.
Summary
Excellent room, bathroom and service all in a great location.
Summary
Room nice size and clean. Hotel very small but good location
Summary
I've stayed two times now. Will stay again! Incredibly central, no (big) frills, but lovely and clean.
Summary
We were a bit apprehensive when entering the room as ear plugs had been provided. We can only think this was in case of aircraft noise which was not a problem - at least on the night we stopped. The hotel had no lift and we were on the 3rd floor. The staircase areas were somewhat dated with threadbare carpets in places but by contrast the bedroom was clean and bright. We would not hesitate in stopping here again - at the right price!.
Summary
This is a splendid hotel. The room was very comfortable with excellent furnishings. The reception was friendly and there are plenty of places nearby to eat. No breakfast available in the hotel but outlets quite close
Summary
I have marked high as value for money only because of a significant discount received - I would not have stayed here if I had to pay the full price (although it may be reasonable for London prices). The hotel is in a quiet row but very central for Covent Garden. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean - it was lovely to have sheets and blankets too rather than a duvet.
Summary
This hotel could not be better located for a weekend sight-seeing trip to London. I will not hesitate in staying here again for my next visit. All I was looking for was a clean and comfortable room for the night and I cannot fault this, it was just that.
Summary
I was very impressed by both the quality and cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the hotel staff. I was pleased at how close the hotel was to Covent Garden - turn the corner and you're there.
The only downside to the experience? No lift. Having just undergone a knee operation, getting to my room on the third floor was a struggle but next time I'll just make sure I am on the ground floor ... and there will be a next time!
Really nice little hotel, friendly staff, spotlessly clean, really quiet room and very well equipped cleanliness and refreshment-wise. My only slight grumble was that there was no mention of how to get your hands on a hair dryer.
