Good price for a convenient location

Overall we had a good stay here. Our room was fine if a little cramped with the sofa bed out for the kids. The double bed was lumpy and not very comfortable but just about okay. Breakfast was great - a few hot items and unlimited croissants, cereals, toast etc. We would stay again!

Pleasingly surprised

Had read reviews which were not too complimentry, however the room was really clean and exactly as you would hope for. There was plenty to eat at breakfast and continued until 11 am so no early morning rush needed. the staff were very helpful.

On a very busy road, but with the windows closed I had no car noise at all. Comfortable and well positioned for South Bank.

Great Staff

Hotel was very nice. Location within 5 or 10 minute walk to Southwark Tube station. Room was clean. Staff was excellent with all requests, especially front desk clerk Lilly. Would definitely stay there again.

Stuffy,noisy hotel.Staff not very helpful.

Our room was small and cramped,it was also stuffy and noisy.Blackfriars station was a short hop ,skip and a jump away but it did feel as though the trains (which started very early) were in bed with you.The staff were not terribly helpful and I wouldn't recommend staying here unless desperate.There are nicer cheap hotels.It was fairly central though.

A convenient location.

A basic hotel at a budget pricer but the advantage is that it is located within easy walking distance from the South Bank, Tate Modern and the Shakespear's Globe Theatre, with a bus route on the same road which goes to Covent Garden over the river.

Value?

While the chain is a 'no frills' franchise this was extremely expensive. The rooms are, understandably, small and with no pretence of any luxury. The location was ideal for what we had planned but I still came away feeling ripped off. Having clearly displayed my car park pass I was unhappy to see a notice taped to my car stating 'Do not remove this vehicle until reporting to Reception'. A simple check at Reception would have shown my vehicle was registered rather than inconveniencing me on departure.

Need to make serious improvements to justify the money

The hotel staff had trouble communicating with me, I ended up paying twice for the room due to an administration error which I'm trying to reclaim. The air conditioning was not working properly so had hot uncomfortable night's sleep and the breakfast was poor. All for £250 a night for a single bed. Very poor. Never staying again.

Nicest receptionist!

Pretty good hotel, lovely helpful receptionist, which is unusual in these sort of hotels. A bit noisy, but it is in the middle of a capital city. Would stay there again.
