Watch the small print

I booked because of the features on offer - laptop sized safe, fridge & microwave. none of these were available. on complaining [and i had to push] i got upgraded to a room with a microwave, but despite promises, the fridge and safe never appeared. that said, room very clean and comfortable, though very compact, even the double i was upgraded to.

3 nights in a cupboard

This is not what it seems at all. The booking info does not tell you to go to the Best Western Hotel at al to check in. The map has the wrong place highlighted. You then get shunted round the corner to another site. The website claimed you have saved, in my case, £829. Really? The room is barely adequate. It is impossible to get the chair for the desk out to sit at the desk in room 621 because of the position of the bed.

Executive Rooms By Shaftsbury?

The room it self was OK, compact and Bijou, the bed was comfortable and the facilities in the room adequate, the major issue I had with the room (008) was that it was right next door to the the Disabled toilet on a lower level and the noise of people going in and out of the facilities continued till at least 2:00 am when eventually I fell asleep..... I was then woken up by the banging and clatering of the door at 06:45.
So not such a restful night!!

Tiny Room

My room was very small, also very hot and stuffy. Room was fairly clean although there were crumbs and bits of food stuff down the cracks surface of the tea/coffee making area. Bed was ok but could do with the mattress being replaced. I was also shown to my room via an unlocked firedoor (taken outside via the main entrance and through a firedoor). The staff were very friendly, and location to restaurants etc was superb.

The worst hotel

The room is very small and not quiet. The customer service is not friendship and very slow. They don't change the bed quilt and sheet. The price is so expensive ,but the condition is worse than 2-star hotels.

Tiny room, but tiny prices

Completely forgot to book a room in advance for a business trip to London and thought I'd just stay here again as it's so cheap.
Last time, I got upgraded to the main hotel, but not this time... Room is tiny, but has everything in it that you need.
Very cheap and cheerful!

Confusion!

I arrived to find my room had been cancelled! Not by me! I was then given a small basement room and was kept awake by the noise from the fitness suite. Very confused and disorganised at check in.

Surprisingly good!!

Having a few bad experiences using laterooms.com (booking never seems to match what the hotel has you down for) I was very pleased upon arrival at The Shaftesbury that everything was just right. The reception was very welcoming, very helpful and even upgraed us to executive.
The room itself was lovely, very clean and the air con worked a treat. Nice big bathroom with a TV built into the wall in the bathroom!
Breakfast was paid for seperately but was very nice.
I would certainly return.
