Stayed for four days while at conference downtown. Nothing luxurious, but the room was clean and suited my needs fine. Location was ideal, seconds from the underground. Don't have high hopes for breakfast.

Summary
Fair price for average accomodation. Nothing special, but close tot he station. Just what i needed.
Summary
Not the brightest or tidiest place in London..but clean and safe and an excellent location. Staff are friendly, once they get to know you.
Summary
This hotel's big advantage is its location - just a minute's walk from Kings Cross station. Very convenient if you want to travel off or be somewhere in central London in the early morning. Room was basic but fine. Not many of the budget hotels offer a cooked breakfast, but the European did - not much choice but the food was OK.
Summary
Excellent location, less than 5 min walk from King's Cross station . It was last minute booking and it was good value for money . Small corridors and would not advice to take large luggage , if you do ,you will struggle . Room was clean. Linen clean . The shower was spacious compared to size of room, no issue with hot water, good shower pressure. There was out side noise early hours in the morning and did make me up . Don't think this applies to all rooms. Breakfast was ok nothing exciting. Overall good value for money.
Summary
Room was poorly decorated with paper hanging from the wall and shaver, remote control and electric sockets not working reliably. Breakfast was surprisingly good, and staff OK, but hotel was generally below par for the area.
Summary
Central location, very quiet street, clean room, although small, which is what I was expecting, shower in good working order, tv worked fine, kettle in room, clean towels, breakfast was also what i expected not amazing, but did the job and dining staff were good at filling things up when empty.
Summary
Cannot complain for £55 for the night. Stayed here with a friend and we both thought the same. A great location, very close to restaurants/takeaways and the tube/train station. Small & basic room but what matters is that it was clean. Friendly staff. We didnt have breakfast in the end. The only criticism (which is only a small one) is the powder milk that you add to your tea. Id strongly recommend not having a cup of tea with that milk. Other than that, we will be back! Thank you.
Summary
Room was clean and basic. My only real problem with the room was that the radiator was stuck on (no controller) and while it was a cold night I had to open the window to sleep - which meant the occasional loud noise in the otherwise quiet street disturbed me. Also, as an environmentalist, I shudder a little at the amount of energy (as well as money!) wasted in this way.
Breakfast wasn't great but was okay. Very busy when I went down and the staff were struggling to cope.
All in all good price for the accomadation, most things worked ok except shaver light, bit disappointed when bringing a friend back and being told that I am not allowed visitors in my room. Hotel pointed this out on Thuringia board but how is a person booking online supposed to see that from there. This should have been put on website.
Summary
Dull and unispiring but clean and inexpensive.
Summary
The room at the hotel was a twin - it was very small but adequate for a one night stay.
It was clean and compared to other hotels we looked at was very cheap.
Small room, small breakfast, small comments
Summary
I booked this hotel for my 2 daughters because of price (£75 per night) and proximity to St Pancras station. Although all London rooms are small they found the room to be tiny. I booked a twin room but they got a double bed in a room that was probably only big enough for a single. They had to pay in full before even seeing the room. Breakfast was poor, not much choice and definitely not if you're vegetarian. The bathroom smelled bad and they wore flip flops to go into the show although the room was clean.
All in all £75 was way too much to pay for what you got.
Best suited to persons for one night only using st Pancras or Kings Cross as a stop over.
Good points : Clean Room, bed sheets starched and clean
Location : Easy access to Kings Cross Station, just a short walk
Breakfast : not appealing, and no fresh juice
Must be able bodied to reach lower rooms due to narrow winding staircase.
Whilst the room was quite small, it was adequate and clean. It is pretty much what I expected for the money (£60 - b&b) and was very convenient for Kings Cross station. I could be tempted to use this hotel but only for a single night on business
The people next door were ignoring the no-smoking policy
Room basic but satisfactory.
Poor selection for breakfast if did not want a cooked breakfast.
This hotel is very convenient for Kings Cross station being just a couple of minutes walk away. I had a single room on the front overlooking the picturesque square. However the room was very poorly decorated and the furniture was very poor quality. The bed was just a fold up portable type, the TV was an old portable which didn't work (after reporting it to reception they did fix it but could still only get 3 channels), no hair dryer, no soap etc and one small towel supplied. The breakfast was poor, they only cereal available was some cheap tasting cornflakes from a plastic tub. There was toast available on request but no jam etc, there was a selection of cooked breakfast which I did not have. The hotel generally was quite dirty and there was alot of outside noise in the early hours
Summary
I used the room just for sleeping at night as was out the whole day. First of all, the hotel is at a great location, right opposite to Kings cross, just a couple of hundred yards away. I couldnt locate it as google maps properly because the address said variably argyll street and square. How ever when I got there, it was easy to find.
I dont think they have lifts but my room was on the fit floor and so it did not matter much. The room was very small but i was amazed by the fact that they stuffed everything in such a small space. There was toilet as well as a separate shower room. I am not a big guy at all and even i found the toilet to be too tiny . You have to stay crouched on the toilet. There was no shower gel but a bar of soap which i did not use (i bought a shower gel). There was not hot water for the shower I turned up the hot water to maximum and even then it was at best room temperature and not even warm, There was a small shelf which was shaky and not fixed to the floor. There was a tiny TV on a desk just next to the bed. I needed an extra pillow and they brought me that.
Having said all of this, it actually served my purpose. I only needed a bed and break fast, literally, and got that. the room was very clean and tidy and obviously cheap at £60 per night . i dont think you will get another ensuit room for that price in such a central location. If i go down to london for business, might stay here again as it was very convenient on many counts .
I need to say a word about the receptionist.. I think she was one of the worst receptionist i have seen. No greeting, no smile, not friendly just like robot. Maybe she was efficient but atleast if she had a friendly smile, it would have made a difference.
In the year 2011 to expect a decent standard of plumbing is not demanding. None of the showers had any decent level of water pressure and far worse was that the water was cold. There was no warmth to the water at all despire being left on for 20 mins in the vain hope of eventual heat. It was like staying in a shoddy B&B in the 1960s.
Summary
I read reviews about this hotel and booked it from this website. I was given a ground floor room initially. I was very disappointed by the room. The room was very noisy throughout the night and the street light was so bright through the window that me and my wife could hardly get some sleep. The bathroom was terribly small even for a medium sized person like me. Me and my wife complained and were given a room at second floor. There were no lifts. The room was decent enough but TV was not working. The breakfast was neat but the same every day. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.
Summary
Would not recommend or stay here again.
Summary
I enjoyed staying at the European hotel London.
Summary
Did not really see any of the staff did not feel welcome, room noisy at night due to be to close together ,dont think i would stay again
Summary
Scruffy bedroom, holes in the walls and wallpaper torn in several places, not recommended. Hotel accommodation should be of equal standard, if not better than home. This was not so, consequently i have cancelled my next booking with them.
Summary
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and the first time I was satisfied with my stay. However, on this occasion I was verbally abused by the manager in the lobby in front of other guests ithe most violent and aggressive way! It was so bad, I almost left halfway through my stay.
The room was freezing cold and smelt of damp, the shower curtain was mouldy and a maid never came to make our beds or change the towels. The breakfast was full english only, and was extremely limited.
Overall I would say £75 a night is far too much to pay for this unclean, unfriendly hotel. The central location is the only redeeming feature of this hotel, as it is so close to Kings Cross St Pancras tube and train stations.
A handy location on a quiet square. Hotel clean, breakfast ok but a couple of the staff spent every morning shouting at each other while the guests were having their breakfast. The room was tatty but clean, and the bed was comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water. Its fine if you just want somewhere to get your head down for the night after a days sightseeing and a few pints in the many watering holes around the area.
Summary
I knew what to expect with this accomodation, it was cheap, with a good location literally on the door step of king's cross and within 10minutes walk of euston and russle square. However it was dingy, dark and the staff didn't bother with any form of customer service.
In essence its cheap, but not so cheerful, OK for sleeping in, but not much else.
Rooms quite small, but clean. Bed comfy. Ok for a price. Breakfast beatiful!!!!
Summary
Great location (a few minutes walk to King's Cross), on a nice quiet street (you'd never know the main road was so close) on a beautful square with a garden. Although the room was small we didn't mind as it was only somewhere to sleep - you might find somewhere better for the same price but from the research I did your room wouldn't have an ensuite like the European Hotel. The breakfast (full English) was good, and the people working there were helpful enough when we had enquiries to make or requests. Overall very happy with the place and I'd stay here again!
Summary
The room was clean but tiny. It was basic accomodation and suited my needs for one night but wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than that. Breakfast was nice but it would have been great to have had other options than a cooked breakfast (maybe some fruit?). My biggest problem was with the shower - cold water and very little of it, which after a long journey wasn't very pleasant.
Summary
Excellent central location, but our room was tiny. Everything was slopey, things repeatedly fell off the bathrooom shelf, as it was so uneven. The room was generally clean, but the carpet could have done with a hoover. I would stay here again, as with breakfast it was ok value for money for London, just for the central location.
Summary
I found the Hotel to be very basic but good value for money as it was in an ideal location.
The breakfast was poor, buffet style is good as you can help yourself but it didn't seem fresh and didn't taste very nice. The breakfast room is also very small and dingy which doesn't really make it very attractive. The shower in the room was very hot and the controls for it made it awkward to get it colder without going too far, it also took a long time to heat up sometimes. The bed was very creaky and not very comfortable either. I would stay here again as its so close to the underground and a decent price, but I wouldn't recommend it to others unless they were young and looking for a cheap get away with their partner like myself.
This room was disappointingly small - hardly a double, making movement around it very difficult with no luggage storage space. This was at the back of the house over looking walls and was claustrophobic. Very different from our outgoing journey experience and should not have been the same price. The breakfast was still good. This accomodation would only ever be suitable for an over-night stay, certainly not a base for a holiday in London.
Summary
Pleasant, small but adequate first floor room over looked the square. We were impressed that they could accomodate our need for an early breakfast especially as it was a Full English.
Summary
For London, this hotel is cheap. It is basic but has a couple of major plus points - the rooms are clean and internet access is freely available. They have private bathrooms which are little more than cubicles in the room, but again, they are clean. The main downside is the paper thin walls - I could hear the guy in the next room snoring - but a good pair of ear plugs will sort that. It is a quiet square so outside noise is limited. Breakfast is adequate, although it was the worst cup of tea I have ever had! But rooms also contained tea and coffee facilities, so this isn't a major issue. Location is great, minutes from the tube. I would stay again if travelling alone in London.
Summary
The room was a miniature (my bathroom is bigger), impossible to bathe without hitting the walls of the bathroom.
It stinks because of the carpet.
The employees were very antipathetic.
Breakfast was bad.
Room small but clean. Only issue was not enough tables and chairs for everyone for breakfast. Food excellent.
Summary
A hotel good enough to stay over. The hotel may be abit worn out but room was fine. No lift. I had to carry my heavy lugguage up 3 storeys through narrow stair way.
Summary
I was very taken aback at the quality of the hotel. The room was so small and spartan. There was not even a toilet roll holder in the tiny bathroom or a hook to put a towel. The breakfast did not cater for a healthy option. It would maybe be ok for one night stop over but certainly not for 3 nights as I found out.
