It was an absolute dump - I have stayed many times in this hotel but this time it was really bad
experience because they have accommodate DHSS customers who were noisy in the middle of the night and smoking in their room, hotel was filthy, water leak from the shelling and dirty marks everywhere in the room. Please, your company should stop sending customers there unless they improve their standard.

We wish we'd read the other reviews first

- booked and paid for a double room .... there wasn't one available
- asked for extra pillows .... they didn't have any
- decorating was appalling, previous occupants had actually written on the walls
- tea & coffee provided .... but no kettle ?
- no hot water in the bathroom basin
- bedside light not working
- balcony view was full skips, dustbins, garages and derelict cars
- breakfast was just cereal & toast, with no time to eat it
- very tatty decor throughout the hotel
- when we tried to point all this out to the management, we were actually told to complain to Laterooms !!!!
This is evidently not a hotel for real travelers ...

Could be better

Easy to find and parking directly outside. Bored reception staff with someone shouting down a back office phone the entire time I was getting my key. Inside decor generally shabby and worn. Tiny ensuite double bedded room would be too small for double occupancy. Towels smelt odd but bedding was fresh and clean. TV too high on wall for comfortable viewing and batteries in remote were corroded. Full price of single room on laterooms was £70, I paid the supposed discounted price of £34. Single price advertised in hotel was £55.

This place is a hole, it isnt even fit for animals at a zoo. How late rooms could ever recommend it to people is a mistery. I have lodged a formal complaint with late rooms, so that hopefully no one else will be duped into staying there. Dont go there! EVER!!

Good and Not so good

Excellent location for access to Heathrow Airport, but a long journey to tourist attractions. My wife and I combined the trip for the both.
Our double room was tiny.Certainly not big enough for 2 people to walk around in at same time. There was no hot water on 2 occasions.I mentioned this to the gentleman on reception, who said he would get the problem fixed, which he did,but the next day it was freezing cold showers again.
The same gentleman, was extremely helpful when I asked for directions, and bus & train routes.

Fine for the price

The hotel was satisfactory for one night. I needed to be close to Heathrow so the location was very good. I was comfortable in the room and had a very basic breakfast. There did not appear to be a cooked breakfast available, only tea, coffee, toast and cereal. For what I paid I was happy with my stay.

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel not a refuge

I was not impressed at all - understandably it is cheap but the room was tiny, worn & dated, wardrobe would collapse if opened door, a chair you wouldn't leave in the garage for firewood, en-suite..... yeh right, it was a dingy, 2" x 2" with toilet, sink & shower - I daren't use the shower - just felt unclean, there was a lingering strong stale, stagnent smell. To top it off the breakfast was a choice of cornflakes or rice crispies, a cheap loaf of sliced bread for toast - oh and tea & coffee - Thats it - Zippo !!

This hotel was clearly being used for those who were waiting to be housed, it would have been nice if we were made aware of this before making the booking. There were families in the rooms next to us arguing and the whole place needed to be redecorated. There was peeling paint everywhere. The bath was chipped. The television was the basic 5 channels and the remote did not even have a cover on the back so the batteries fell out whenever it was moved. Would never stay here again.

Hounslow Hotel

Customer Service - Generally not much interaction with staff, Communication problems and lack of understanding. There was one enchanting breakfast lady with short hair and glasses and she was a lovely woman.
Cleanliness - Very clean, and always clean bedding, whether it had holes in the duvet or not. Out dated decor but not bad overall.
Quality - Very minimal for money paid.
Value - Same as above.
Food - Breakfast = toast and cereal. Better than half the food in Hounslow as a whole, probably.

Left a lot to be desired

There were many shortfalls in the room I stayed in: broken electrical fittings, poor water pressure in the shower which took a long time to run hot, a sash window that that had not been cleaned on the outside and would not stay up so had to be wedged open, poorly painted woodwork and doors, an ancient TV on a bracket above the bed with a trailing power cable, nowhere to store my suitcase except the floor where it had to be stepped over, minute basin in the bathroom that should have been in a tiny domestic cloakroom. There were various holes in walls where fittings had been removed/fallen off that had not been filled, giving an impression of delapidation. Breakfast was included in the price but this consisted merely of serve-yourself cereals dispensed from tacky dispensers, do-it-yourself toast and coffee and juice, again served from dispensers. The breakfast room contained an ancient back projection TV that looked like it had been there for a very long time. Returning from a theatre visit at 11.00pm, I had to wait for someone to return to give me my room key, despite having checked before leaving that someone would be on reception when I returned.

The reception staff were incompetent and rude and the breakfast left a lot to be desired, either cornflakes or toast!! The bed linen was clean but wish I could have said the same for the bathroom and shower.

Get What You Pay For

We booked for two nights. On the plus side the hotel is extremely well located for the train (10 minutes walk) direct to Waterloo London or Heathrow Airport. Also attractions such as Hampton Court, Kew Gardens and Windsor Castle are but a short car ride away. It also has a good sized car park, is reasonably clean and the staff are friendly. On arrival in the evening we were given a double room which was clearly only just large enough for a single with a double bed 'shoehorned in'. The TV did not work with the indoor aerial hanging from a hook on the wall and the en-suite no more than a large cupboard! It was also very hot despite the heating not being on. The next morning we asked to be moved and the staff were extremely helpful in moving us to a much larger room which was more acceptable despite being located in the basement. Breakfast was coffee, cereal, orange juice and toast but Wetherspoons is just a short walk away where a full English breakfast can be enjoyed at a low cost.

Locks on the front door was nearly off due to old timber. Very unsecure. No telephone was usable in the hotel. The room ones were not to be used for outside calls even local. The staff refused us access to theirs and the cliental one was not working.
Staff need to sharpen up a lot and talk to the clients and smile. They make every thing look like we are an inconvenience to them. Totally different here in Leeds

Not the best place to stay really.

Poky scruffy room, holes in plaster, cracks in basin, not enough room to swing the proverbial cat in. Noisy residents at night time. Not recommmended if you are staying there for business. The room was fairly clean however, and the toast and coffee at breakfast was very nice. Staff were polite and friendly.

Unlockable locks

Ok so the hotel fine and clean i will give it that
however
room locks left a lot to be desired
one would not lock at all
one would not unlock
so daughter stuck in a room the phone didnt work so she could not call reception to be let out
we had to wedge a chair under the door handle so we were faintly safe
maybe we should have changed rooms but it was very late and we had driven a long way and were fed up
matters did not improve when we found out we would miss breakfast as we had to be where we were going by 8am
we would not have booked if we knew what time breakfast was as we had to leave even earlier to find food before we found our ultimate destination.
daughter room curtains did not fit and she was kept awake most of the night by a light that kept turning on at random times and lighting up her room
we unfortunately (this not the hotels fault) had some baby fall out of bed in the room above and the parents arguing from 2.30 am til 3.30am
all in all not an experience i wish to repeat
but its cheap and gives you a roof over your head for a night, just not necessarily a safe roof

While the general appearance of the hotel could do with a tidy up and the accommodation was very basic (you only get what you pay for) and I had no reason to complain. The bed was comfortable and the linen and towels were clean. It was relatively quiet, the water was hot and it was a reasonable do it yourself breakfast.

Get what you pay for...

As a cheap place to stay for the night, you can't really expect huge rooms. The rooms we had were a decent size and in a good state. However, our bathroom was a bit grotty and certainly hadn't been cleaned prior to our check in, as there was grey/brown foam on the shower wall and curtain. The breakfast also was not amazing - a choice of either white bread toast or cereal (though I believe you can have an English breakfast if you pay extra) but again, for the money you pay you aren't going to get a huge choice. I did also find it strange that we were required to pay on check in, this is the first hotel I have stayed in where I have had to pay before I have checked out. I was in a group of 5 people and it worked out at £17.60 each for the night, so idea if you are just wanting a bed for the night for as little money as possible. We were attending an event at Twickenham and as the hotel is only a short walk from Feltham station which is the next stop along from Twickenham it was ideal for us, plus the hotel staff kindly let us leave our car in the car park for the whole of Saturday and Sunday, even though we only stayed Saturday night. So on the whole, it was good value for money. At no point did I expect 5 star quality; however, I do still expect a certain standard of presentation and particularly cleanliness from a hotel, so was a bit disappointed by the bathroom.

Very Noisy Murder

Dear Laterooms,
I stayed at the Euro Hotel in Feltham last Tuesday evening. Whilst I did not have great expectations for this small and budget hotel, I did not expect to be kept awake by the quite frankly amateurishly executed torture scenario.
During the night I awoke and had to listen to someone being tortured and subsequently murdered. The torturing went on for 2.5 hours! They could have at least put a sock in the mouth of the victim to prevent the sound from waking the guests. In the morning the police said that due to the blood in the dining room that they could not serve breakfast. Normally I sleep through torture/murders fairly soundly, which can only mean one thing: The bed was uncomfortable. Therefore I can't recommend the Euro hotel for it's uncomfortably mattresses.
Yours, M. Hyde, Brighton.
