Summary
This hotel was great for accessing Greenwich and the O2 arena, it was comfortable, clean and had fantastic gardens. The only disappointment for us is that the domestic staff knocked our door twice after we had asked reception the previous night for 1pm late check out, this was slightly annoying and then the domestic staff could be heard outside your room talking ( not great after a night out and wanting a lie in!) however reception were informed when we handed in our key cards, apologised and wavered the late room check out fee, which was very much appreciated as my partner had become quite irritable after the knocks to our bedroom door. Apart from this the hotel had a fantastic location and only a short walk from tube station, cuttysark attraction and only a £10 can away from o2arena. I would stay with this hotel again if I were needing to be close to Greenwich again.
Summary
Excellently postitioned for a break in historic Greenwich. Staff very attentive.
Summary
A friend and I stayed here 1 night to be close to the o2 as we were going to a gig.
The room and facilities were lovely, only issue we had was our kettle didn't work but the staff quickly brought us another, the bed was also a little firm for our liking so didn't have the best nights sleep.
The staff on reception were lovely and arranged our taxi to the O2 which is £10 fixed fare.
The staff in the restaurant were a bit miserable except 1 chap who was really lovely.
All in all the stay was great and we would stay again
Very friendly staff and excellent customer service.
Very reasonable price for the area, lots of local ammenities and sight seeing too if you have the time
Bedroom - tea splashes up wall - skirting boards not been cleaned in ages - all wood work grubby
Bathroom - 2 floor tiles loose / uneven, toilet brush bad, window area needs painting, paint flaking, sink blocking up, shower screen difficult to move
This is our 2nd stay at Devonport House. Lovely hotel: clean, welcoming, comfortable. Free private parking too, all in the beautiful setting of the Maritime Museum. Perfect for visiting Greenwich Park, Cutty Sark, the 02 and Greenwich Peninsula, the Thames Walk - and our reason for the visit - a Charlton Athletic home game! (And they won!)
We even walked to Canary Wharf through the Greenwich foot tunnel!
Would definitely visit again...and again and again!
The hotel was situated just a stones throw away from the Cutty Sark and the DLR. All of the staff were very friendly and we only ate the breakfast but there was plenty to choose from. Greenwich was a really nice area to walk around and there were plenty of places to eat and the market to walk around.
Summary
The staff here were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, would certainly stay there again!
Having been to Greenwich before I was unaware of this gem located in the centre. The first thing that hits you is the location and the prime spot near to the park and the various sights there. The room and facilities were clean and well appointed. The staff were really helpful and very approachable.
The only thing I cannot offer comment on was the food and this was due to the fact that we got up early to take in the sights of the museums and the park and din't want to waste this opportunity before we left.
I would not hesitate recommending this to anyone as it has all the elements of a quality facility
In general, not the best, have paid less and had better, bed was comfortable, bathroom cleanish but tired, breakfast food unenjoyable as was the noise, expected better, wouldn't go back in a hurry
Summary
We stayed here for 1 night on an amazing deal, dinner, bed and breakfast for 2 people for just £65. We weren't expecting much at such a low price but we were so impressed with out stay. We struggled to get to the hotel, we could see it but the one way system and our sat nav meant we couldn't get in, the receptionist was so helpful and patient giving us step by step instructions over the phone, impressive service. Our hotel room was lovely and clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent although the staff were very busy [a big group arrived just after us] but we enjoyed sitting and chatting whilst waiting for our food. Great location, we used the boat service into town and back which was much nicer than going on the tube.
Summary
The hotel staff were excellant & friendly. The bedroom very very comfortable. The bathroom was clean but tired some cracks in the floor tiles , the window blinds seen better days. But overall we were very happy with everything. Especially the staff pleasant & helpful
Summary
Very nice room, quiet in the heart of Greenwich, right next to the park. Water damaged ceiling, but apart from that the room was clean.
Summary
Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful.Ideal location in Greenwich, We booked this hotel as we were going to a concert at the 02 arena, taxi fare very reasonable. I would recommend this Hotel.
Summary
Great location, lovely hotel, friendly staff and good food. what more can we say?
Summary
Wonderful, we had a great time, we really appreciated the free parking, and thought the waiters and waitresses were very charming.
Summary
Spent Sunday night 11/03/12 at this hotel following attendance at a Wedding, across the river on the Saturday night. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room a little small but adequate for two people. Bathroom showing signs of age but very clean. Best part was the cost of £49.00 for dinner, bed and breakfast via Laterooms. As it was a Sunday we opted for the Sunday Roast - which was OK, as I have had worse. Restaurant staff very helpful and keen to please. Partner left bag, after Breakfast, in the dining room but was handed to Reception staff, once they realised it had been left - so panic over - so THANKYOU !! Would stay again if not in a rush to get into London as there are good transport links, via the ferry. Had a lovely walk, in the sunshine, in Greenwich Park.
Summary
This is a great hotel, in a lovely setting next to the maritime museum and observatory, a few minutes from the indoor market with its great cosmopolitan food range, to the Cutty Sark at the bottom of the road and the tunnel walk under the Thames.
Excellent location, lots of history in Greenich Park. Breakfast was excellent, one of the better ones - actually have real eggs. Would have no hesitationin booking again. Very friendly staff.
Summary
Really enjoyed my stay here, the hotel was beautiful and was in a really nice area. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful. Would stay again
Summary
A really lovely hotel with good facilities and excellent location for exploring Greenwich and the O2. We will definatley be going again.
Summary
We accepted (by reserving as we checked in ) the £25 evening meal for £15.00. Although it was enjoyable, I would have been disappointed had I paid the full price. Wine is (to us, French) very expensive!
Summary
The rooms are a liitle cramped but sufficiently equiped and comfortable
Summary
Very pleased to find such a quiet location so close to central London, especially with free, secure car parking. Very clean and comfortable.
Summary
We enjoyed are 2 nights accommodation, the hotel was both practical and pleasant.
very well situated for our visit to Greenwich.
The parking was a real bonus!!
We hope to make a return visit to the area and would have no hesitation in staying at the De Vere Hotel again. Would most certainly recommend .
Staff were excellent. Room was very clean. Had a pub style meal in the Admirals Bar rather than the restaurant but due to a change of staff we had to wait 35/40 mins for our meal, but it was well worth the wait, it was hot wholesome and great value. Free parking was another bonus in London. We can't fault this Hotel, a very enjoyable stay.
Summary
Booked the Devonport House Hotel. It looked very grand, beautiful building right next door to the Maritime museum, near the University and Cutty Sark. Best value hotel close to O2. Room small but well appointed, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very helpful at reception. Easy links by Boat ( absolute rip off at £6 each for 8 mins journey) bus and tube. I would highly recommend this hotel for location and the price. It was also easy to drive to from M25 and ample parking which is rare in London.
Summary
Excellent location, free parking a bonus, perfect for O2 and enjoyed Greenwich next day. Quite impersonal as chiefly a conference hotel so room was very snug but quiet and bathroom could have done with a bit of TLC but bed v comfortable. Breakfast a bit hectic next day as all guests seemed to descend at 9.00 but what we had was good and fresh and staff did their best to help under very difficult circumstances. Very ashamed of how rude some customers were to staff for circumstances completely out of their control.
Summary
The hotel was ideally situated for a few days in the area. Next to Greenwich Park, perfect for relaxing Sunday morning walk. Used the excellent Boat along the river to the city for convenience. Restaurant very busy at peak times for breakfast but staff were efficient and very helpful.
Summary
Excellent hotel
Summary
Had never been to the area of Greenwich before and the Devonport was ideally located backed onto Greenwich Park. A very good room with the most comfortable bed and great views out the front facing Canary Wharf. Some people might be troubled by the busy road outside but I can sleep through everything. Breakfast was more than satisfactory. A great hotel and value for money. Would stay again.
Summary
Nice place ,nice staff
Summary
I had a pleasant stay and would recommend for someone wishing to stay close to the centre of Greenwich, the park and restaurants. The decor is a little dated in places, but perhaps this is just my lasting memory of the blue tartanesque corridor carpet and a couple of cracks in my bathroom floor tiles. Otherwise it was very comfortable and clean with all the standard room facilities and usual breakfast expectations. Bonus to have free parking! and at £59 (breakfast extra £7.50) was excellent value for money in London.

Summary
Quiet, clean, easily accessible from central London: but set up for single-occupancy conference guests: no info. in room, single soap/ shampoo/ biscuits; no bathroom waste bin and no desk lamp (low lighting levels).
Summary
Clean and comfortable , well located for the centre of Greenwich from where Docklands , The City and the rest of London can be easily reached especially via the DLR. Very good value.
Summary
Lovely location, room I stayed in was big and clean. Actual hotel corridors could do with being updated but on a whole the hotel was pleasant and clean. The staff were great and very helpful.
Summary
Great location. Rooms are clean, modern and first class. Free car parking

The staff here were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, would certainly stay there again!
