Well located

Friendly and helpful staff but I thought a bit expensive for what it was
Everything is rather "compact" but thats not unusual in smaller hotels in London
everywhere nice and clean and the breakfast was quite good well presented with lots of cereals fruit and eggs cold meat and cheese available to help yourself
Lots of eateries and pubs nearby and tube and bus stops very close by also

Internet Connection very slow

I had to change room and get closer to the router to get internet connection. Even then, strength was not good and dropped at least 2-3X in 5 minutes.

Small room, budget friendly - ultra close to Paddinton station

I booked this room at the last minute for a low-priced room close to the center of town. It worked out very well because it is 2 blocks away from Paddington station - which gives you access to all of the London Underground subway system and the Heathrow Express train which will get you to or from the airport in just 15 minutes. The free breakfast was very convenient (starts at 6:30am) and my room was clean enough. The biggest downside was how incredibly small the room and bathroom was.

Days Inn Hyde Park - Nice Receptionist, Very Small Room

We arrived ay the Days Inn Hyde Park to be greeted by a very nice receptionist who helped us with directions to our evening venue and organised a taxi to take us there.
We were disappointed by the room, it was very small and the bathroom so tiny we could hardly move in it. I'm only small but I can't see how anyone any larger than me would be able to manoeuvre themselves into the shower. I suppose that's par for the course in London.
Breakfast was ok but quite a limited selection of hot food, just hard boiled eggs actually.
I don;t think we would stay there again.

My room 309, was so small the bathroom door couldn't be opened fully. It was almost impossible for me at 6' 3" to sit on the toilet as the sink was that close.
The staff though were excellent, providing information, and allowing me to check out earlier than expected

A handy hotel for Paddington and central London attractions

It's a very nice hotel, the reception staff are extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a room for 3, there was enough room for us. We had a double bed and a single bed. There was also safe and a fridge. The shower room was large with a decent power shower. It was kept spotlessly clean and there was plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was really quiet. Breakfast was in a basement room down some very narrow spiral stairs and was fairly basic, toast, cereals, juice etc but plenty of it. It was only a 5 minute walk from Paddington tube and railway stations and Lancaster Gate tube station, so handy to get to central London. Hyde Park was a short walk away.

Convenient location & great value

We had a room at the back which was very quiet. It was hot in the room so we were glad we could open the window. The room was a good size & extremely clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Being less than 5 minutes from Paddington meant it was easy to access all transport links. Also we had a pleasant walk in Hyde Park which is only 5 minutes from the hotel.
Will definately stay here again.

Not bad for 1 night

Overall our stay was enjoyable, the breakfast was fine for continental we were very full, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very polite. The room was the only down fall, it was really small you could hardly breathe, the mattress was terrible you could feel the springs so we wasnt very impressed with this. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was amazing I didnt want to come out of the shower. The price was a bit high for the size of room, I've paid less and had bigger room, comfortable mattress, swimming pool & sauna and full english breakfast included in the price (in london).

The room was comfortable and clean, on the small side but we expected that. The toilet, basin and shower were squeezed into a very small space and would be a problem for "large" people. The staff were very courteous, polite and helpful at all times.

It was exactly as reviews had suggested:

I read the reviews before we left and they were accurate. The staff are friendly . Hotel easy
to find, near the underground for lancaster gate. The rooms were small but clean. Everything we needed just to lay our heads after new years eve celebrations. The breakfast was plentiful. Self service with continental offerings. The rooms were very warm, however I would suggest that the hotel puts a few more signs for some of the rooms on level 3 ie 307 as there are 2 stairways leading up to the 3rd floor. We took alittle time to find our room and some may find that tiring!!
Otherwise apsolutely what we needed.

A decent room

A good solid hotel, did exactly what we needed. A decent room with good but not exceoptional price. The room was very good for 2 adults and 2 children as it looked as if was originally 2 rooms, even had 2 toilets, very useful on a wet london night with tired children.
Only 30 mins across hyde park to the Science and Natural History Museums.
Just a note: don't expect a good old fry up, very much creal and toast breakfast set up.

Nearly all round excellence

Friendly staff, good room (for London), spotlessly clean, enough linen, tea/coffee making, complimentary items if any are forgotten. Breakfast was adequate, but that is about maximum praise you could say about it. Don't bother with Breakfast unless you see it purely as a function of getting something inside you with a minimum of fuss and time or you have the attitude "I paid for it, I'm having it!"
I wouldn't pay their rack rate, but the extra money for this compared to some of the rat holes you can get in London was a good return. Not only will I stay here again I will positively check it's price and availability first.

Good location, that's about it

Tiny room, incredibly hot/stuffy, no air con means you have to leave window open, making it impossible to sleep, as room fronted onto busy Sussex Gardens. Took two attempts to find room, as room 305 isn't on third floor, despite being told it was; even staff member who came to find room after second trip to reception got 'lost'. Incredible. Extremely average breakfast, with watery juice, awful coffee and 15-minute boild eggs. Don't stay here unless you positively, absolutely have no choice whatever.

Small but perfectly formed

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel while in London to attend the Hard Rock Calling event in Hyde Park. Our room was small but more than adequate. It was immaculately clean and the bed extremely comfortable. It was great to have a hairdryer and toiletries provided meaning we could travel light. The hotel was ideally located for Hyde Park (no more than 15 minutes away) and Oxford Street. Staff were friendly and courteous.

Our Stay at the Days Inn Hyde Park

Although we only stayed for one night we enjoyed it.The staff were very friendly, polite and helpfull. The hotel/rooms were decorated to a high standard and very clean. The bathroom was quite small but we just about managed. The breakfast provided was of the continental type and proved quite filling.
So all in all a very nice little hotel in a lovely part of central London (just around the corner from Hyde Park) and near to Paddington Station and Underground.

Sleeping in a cupboard.

We booked a three bed room for myself, mum and sister for a girls weekend away through late rooms. The picture showed three single beds in an average sized room. We were shocked when we arrived to find that in fact we had been assigned a double bed (and a small one at that) and a single bed with barely enough room to manoevre between the two beds. A fire door had been placed between the bathroom and the bedroom which gave even less room to manoevre - we're not big people but had to turn sideways to even pass each other. I phoned recption and the guy assured us that we had the right room. We tried one night of our two day break and my mum and I would normally not mind sharing a double bed but the bed was really only suitbale for a married couple who like to sleep cuddled up together.
The next morning I had my argument prepared as to why we needed to be moved. As soon as I appeared and explained I didnt even need to argue my point and the same receptionist promptly moved us to a four bedroom room for no extra charge. It was about 4 times the size of the three bedroom one we had upstairs.
Two friends came to stay on the second night with us and we weren't that surpised to find that the request for a twin bed had been ignored and their room fitted the same small sized double bed and little else. We made do with the large room downstairs.
The hotel was clean, breakfast satisfactory and plentiful, staff friendly, and the showers in both rooms powerful and warm but I cant believe they get away with the size of the rooms. I think all hotels in the Paddington area are unfortunately like that as another hotel I stayed in, although slightly bigger, was the second smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. There are muchbetter quality of rooms throughout the rest of london and its no surprise the cheapest rooms to be had are in this area and its not worth it when ur on holiday even if u are only in the room for short periods. I would reccomend paying anextra £30 or so and stay in another area in London or be prepared to raise a change of room with the recepton staff - I got the feeling that mine was a common request!

No bedside space!

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and cleanliness of the hotel - you don't expect too much for a given price in central London.
But one important failing in my double room was that there was nowhere to put an alarm clock/water or anything else by your bed. The only possibility was the chair, but that had a curved surface was not really a good substitute.
Incidentally, when I stayed the whole area suffered a power failure (no fault of the hotel) in the evening. The staff were well equipped with candles and torches in reception, and the stairs were lit on an emergency supply. It seemed my hotel did better here than my friend who was staying in another hotel nearby who also suffered the power cut.

Below Average Experience

Room was tiny, even for a single room, bathroom too small to even close the door without having to stand down the side of the toilet. Arrived late in the evening, had to borrow the iron and ironing board, no offer of help taking things up to the room even though this meant I have to go up and down the stairs 3 times.
Staff were friendly enough but not particularly helpful. Not bad particularly but have stayed nearby for a similar price and had a much better experience.
