The hotel manager made a point of greeting...
The hotel manager made a point of greeting us, and offering us a drink and somewhere to sit while we waited. He also went to a lot of effort telling us our vegetarian options for dinner. It gave a chain hotel a very approachable friendly feel which you wouldn't normally expect. In addition to this the food was nice, the hotel was clean and offered a 24 hour reception. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

I stayed here for only one night so...
I stayed here for only one night, so my review is limited. I thought this hotel was ideal for my purposes, and is only a few minutes walk down a busy, well lit main road from Lambeth North Tube station. I was travelling on my own, and the female receptionist very thoughtfully showed me the card with my room number on, instead of saying it out loud, as there were other guests nearby. This sort of consideration for guest's safety goes a long way to someone travelling on their own. The room was clean and tidy, if a bit small, but as you only sleep there, it doesn't matter. The bathroom was nice and clean with a nice shower. The only negative part of my experience was at breakfast. The breakfast waitress took my room number, then walked off. I didn't know whether I was expected to follow her, but then one of her colleagues arrived and took over. Just a "I'll hand you over to my colleague, madam", would have been nice. The hotel was full, and I had to eat breakfast on a sofa and low table, but apart from that, it was nice. Freshly cooked full English breakfast, as much coffee as you can drink, and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd definitely stay there again.
