Hotel is clean, well presented, staff friendly and helpful. Secure car park is handy but cost £20.Location is more Hackney than trendy Shoreditch, but only takes 10 mins to walk there, 20 at max to Brick lane. Hackney city farm is 5 minute walk away and serves great food - highly recommend. If staying on Sat night, then you must venture across the road to Columbia Road flower market on Sun morning.

Would definitely use this hotel again if we were out with friends and didn't feel like making the long trip home. First time front desk has actually chased after me to explain the key would take a minute or two to activate the door. Cannot count the amount of times I have gone back down to receptions only to be told this was what was wrong. Perfect for what we needed.

On arriving the deadlock latch on my door fell off. Being a single female traveller I thought I would be offered an alternative room or have someone from maintenance come up to fix the broken latch, but when i reported this to the front desk I was told not to worry about it. The car park was £20 for one night stay, although I should comment that it was a very secure underground car park. To access the car park you have to park your car up outside the hotel and either run in to let them know you would like to enter the car park or call the front desk from your mobile to ask a member of staff to meet you at the car park entrance to gain entry. The food wasn't anything to rave about, I had both dinner and breakfast there and wasn't blown away by either. I did have a walk outside the hotel prior to my evening meal to see if there were any restaurants nearby but couldn't find any that appealed to me.The room was very comfortable, a good size and both the bedroom and the bathroom were clean. To say the hotel was on a busy road in Shoreditch, the outside noise was minimal and I got an good nights sleep.

This hotel was very clean with friendly staff at reception. It was about a ten minute walk from Bethnal Green tube station. We did not eat at the hotel but breakfast was £9 per person. However, there was a lovely little cafe a hundred yards down the road. (anything you would want for breakfast for less than a tenner per couple) There is also a Tesco Express just across the road. The rooms had a lovely ensuite bath/shower room which was immaculate, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, ironing board, iron etc... There was also a flat screen tv with a few digital channels and wireless broadband (paid for at reception). It is a very modern hotel and as someone who stays overnight in London 3 - 4 times per year for several years it was one of the best we have stayed in. (It was the furthest out of theatre district we have stayed but with the tube you are never far away from anything).

Only negative was the cost of wifi access - this is the new rip-off area after the demise of high phone charges with the advent of mobile phones. Used the 3G connection on my iPhone out of principle rather than pay £5/hr. It was late and I couldn't be bothered to go and argue with reception.Apart from that, the room was quiet, comfortable, modern and clean and as well equipped as most other hotel rooms I stay in. All in all it's a nice hotel, lack of wi-fi is disappointing and the area could be better but I can't grumble too much for the price.

We booked this hotel, having moved from another because my office asked a favour and had it granted that we could use the function room just for 10 mins to photograph a very important director who had been unable to attend our shoot but was able to come to our hotel. On arrival we were told that it was now booked but on further enquiries we were told that it was free and when we came to use the room we were told it would be £50 for the 10 minutes. The manager never dained to come to the front desk to discuss the matter and I could see him slumped in his chair in his office laughing. I felt this was rude and as we were staying, 2 of us, for 2 nights and spending £360 this was very mean and unhelpful. I can understand that the hotel was entitled to make a charge but this was not good behaviour. They seemed to have forgotten the very essence of running a hotel, the enjoyment and happiness of the guests. Otherwise it was very pleasant with friendly staff and I would happily have stayed again. My assistant put it quite well as he bit into the restaurant apple " Looks nice on the outside but rotten on the inside".

I felt the level of illumination provided by the spot lighting was insufficient for people wanting to do reading and desk work. Nice hotel and very good value, but let down by a couple of simple things which should really annoyed me. I love a bath when I travel and I simply couldn't work out how to use the bath plug. I phoned down to the receptionist, who didn't know either. Just use a normal bath plug, not one which has to be screwed in! Seems like the designers are being too clever. The bath/shower combo was completely fiddly too - I kept getting wet while trying to work out how to use the plug. I'm a regular traveller so I don't think it was just me being stupid. Surly waitress in the breakfast cafe too, not a great breakfast. Overall it's a nice hotel but I was annoyed by the fiddly things which needed a manual to work them. Was a bit out of the way for me too, wasn't much around.

Shoreditch, full of trendy bars and restaurants, is about 10 mins easy walk, and there are a few nice places to eat even nearer. I was staying on my own and felt very safe walking back at night (I'm used to living in a big city.) My room was very clean and my bed lovely and comfortable. I liked the kettle, decent sized mugs and fair trade tea/coffee in the room. As I was travelling for work I also appreciated having an iron / ironing board in the room, not having to ask for these. My bathroom only had a shower; I think it was suitable for disabled access. I imagine that if you asked for a bath on check-in you'd be given a different room - the desk staff were always very helpful. Service in the hotel was great, although the room service i was told was Order and Collect and not to the room, not much of an issue at the time was ordered.Room was very clean, Maid service was at the sensible time as we didnt leave the room till gone 11am so we were not disturbed (at least on the 4th floor)The option to book the room with out the breakfast made the room cheaper and the hotel allowed you to pay on the day for Continental/Full English at cost but gives you the flexibility for a cheaper price.Food was ok, although im a fussy eater my partner enjoyed the food when we ate in the hotel at night. All in all a very welcomed 4 night stay at Days, very nice rooms compared to other hotels at this price, Location is 10min walk to Bethnal Green tube or buses to/from the center which are fairly regular.

Staying here as we were going to a party nearby - the hotel is clean, the rooms are generous and well appointed, the staff were really friendly. I know people have complained about the area/distance from the tube but there are 2 buses that go directly from Liverpool st to outside the hotel door and take about 7 minutes and a taxi from Liverpool st costs about £10.00. Given the price we were charged £90 I can't imagine getting a much better deal anywhere else in London

I booked the hotel through late rooms.com, which was very simple and hassle free.I went to the hotel and had a bit of an arguement with the receptionist as she booked me in. gave me the keys and then asked for a deposit as i was paying by cash. i did not have any money in my cards so she told me to go to a bank and put money in and come back so she does not have to charge me a deposit.i bussed it all the way to liverpool street put money into mu account and then came back and was allowed to enter my room.they should notifey customers about the deposit, if your paying by cash.anyways apart from that, my stay was excellent, loved every part of it.and i must say excellent clean toilets and bathroom. ten out of ten.recomended to all people and i will be back very soon.thank you.

This was the third time I've stayed at the Days Hotel Shoreditch so they must be doing something right. This is a great value hotel conveniently located in the East End of London, just a 10 minute bus ride (Nos. 26 & 48) from Liverpool St station from where the city is easily and quickly accessible by Tube (Bethnal Green Tube station is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel, which is a good way to start the day). The hotel itself is relatively new so everything is in good, clean condition. The rooms are not overly big but are OK by European standards and they are quite well appointed although they are not equipped with a fridge, which is a drawback. Ensuite bathrooms are likewise clean and well appointed. In my experience, the staff have always been very helpful and friendly. The hotel does have a restaurant / bar but I have only ever had breakfast at the hotel - you have a choice of Continental or cooked breakfast (for an additional cost). The Continental should be sufficient for most - one criticism I have is that the croissants / pastries are sometimes not as fresh as they should be (this only happened once so is probably an isolated case). All in all, the Days Hotel Shoreditch is wonderful value for money and I'd definitely stay there again when I'm in London.

We had an event in Old Billingsgate and were exhausted after a 12 hour day - this Hotel was so much better than we expected- each room has an iron, ironing board and hairdryer... even the mirror had a de-mist zone very impressed- clean comfortable - more like a boutique hotel than the exterior suggested!
