You need a vivid imagination to describe this hotel as being in Shoreditch. It's actually in a very unsalubrious part of Hackney, and certainly not somewhere I'd want to be after dark. It's also a long way from the nearest underground station. All this is a shame because it's otherwise a perfectly acceptable hotel. If you want to stay in Hackney this hotel would be a good choice. If you want to be in central London give it a miss.

I was wondering what this hotel would be like given the fairly cheap price for London, however we were pleasantly suprised. The lobby was really big and clean and the staff were really friendly, our room was really big on the 4th floor and had a nice big desk as well as a great sized bathroom. We didn't have breakfast there so can't say anything about that..... only bad coment would be that we were woken by a erm... rather loud couple enjoying themselves but that is not a critiscism of the hotel itself!
Great hotel!

Although other food was expensive and not so good in the hotel, but there was an excellent kebab shop just up the road from the hotel good value for money. Staff friendly room was kept clean throughout. Althouh the hotel was more Hackney end than Shoreditch but not too far from central London.

La distanza dal Tube ci ha fatto scoprire che per un turista gli spostamenti in bus sono molto piu' piacevoli e ugualmente comodi ed efficienti.

This clean, modern hotel is in an area of wholesale businesses and council flats. You won't want to spend much time in the locality. Excellent London bus services take you to the City and West End. Tube is 0.5m walk. We found ALL hotel staff to be helpful and friendly, and I asked for -- and got -- a room at the back of the hotel, which was quiet. Rooms are to good international standard. Our bathroom was small, but well equipped and had a super shower. The informal restaurant serves simple fare in good-sized portions. I used the tricky underground car park at 20/day.

It's a good hotel IF everything goes well - and I will consider staying there again. However, on a recent stay I was forced to write a serious complaint to the hotel manager about the unprofessional attitude of an assistant manager (who had escalated a reasonably serious situation to one of complete frustration through his poor management skills) - several weeks later and I have not had even an acknowledgement.
If this were to happen when the the hotel loses its initial sparkle (it still looks quite new), you would be left with an average customer experience. They need to seriously consider their approach to customer care to prevent such a decay.

Nice hotel, but too few staff to deal with guests efficiently. I witnessed a lot of mistakes and omissions when food was being ordered at the bar. When I asked for a price for an additional nights stay, it varied person by person. My final price was the cheapest though. There is a MPV which can take groups to some key spots as it is a little out of the way, but buses go direct into the city via liverpool st station. The major benefit for me was a real bath! Would still recommend a trial though.

Our room faced inward over a courtyard and the whole time we were there, we slept really well as there was no outside noise.
It takes a little while to get into central London as the hotel is not near a tube line but the buses are regualr and reliable, so it was fine. We didn't use it but im sure the doors through to other rooms would have been handy. Great place. The only downside to the whole time spent at the hotel. is that when we ordered a Taxi (Days personal Hotel taxi's will take you anywhere within 2 - 3 Miles for just 2 per person) Well we said can we go to London Bridge... Nice clean hotel. We stayed here for a festival in Victoria Park which was in walking distance. The car park facilities are good but on the expensive side (20 per day) 15 mins walk from nearest tube station. Breakfast wasn't included in the deal but we could pay on the day. We did this on Saturday morning but wish we hadn't. The hotel was busy and as it was self service, we were all waiting for food to be cooked and it was 10 - 15 mins from when the eggs, bacon and sausages came out so you had to keep going back up. Plus not enough brought each time to feed the amount of people waiting (We saw 2 people walk out, would not wait any longer) Then there was no water for my tea! Then there was no pastries. So overall the breakfast ordeal was not good and at 9.95 per person I would have expected better. I did mentin this to reception but they just listened and offered no comment! We did not stay for breakfast on the Sunday. Overall it was a nice quiet hotel with a good standard of rooms. The hotel was very clean.

The price was high by my standards but I suppose that's what you pay in the summer in London. We disliked the breakfast arrangements. This is my second visit to this hotel and as before the room was excellent, it was good value for money (69), clean and comfortable. The room size was fine and the bathroom too. Extra pillows in the cupboard without requesting and quiet air con. The bus stop outside gives quick links to City and they offer a cheap shuttle service. I am unsure about the area surrounding the hotel it seems ok by daylight, it has a convenience store/off license and a Chinese takeaway within 100yds.
The problems come when you venture downstairs, the bar person is where? They have no premium beers on tap (but carling is premium price!) and the uninspiring menu is well well overpriced for the portion sizes, also they automatically put service charge on, so watch out for this. I can't understand why they don't put more staff on?? anyway, verdict........ will stay again, but I am going to get a bottle of wine and a try the takeaway.
Watch out for the check in scam too that hotels are adopting these days, when you check in, state that you wish to pay there and then, otherwise they will say we need to authorise your card which takes 95 from your bank account, then in the morning they will take the room payment as well and it takes 3-5 days to get your 95 back. I got caught up in this by another hotel and they "forgot" to reimburse me, luckily i noticed but not unitl 10 days afterwards.... so pay on arrival and if you want breakfast, pay for it separately !!

Very handy location for our visit as we came in and out on the Stansted Express from Liverpool St (hotel was 8 in a black cab from Liv Pool St station). Walking distance to Brick Lane. We just needed a base for a short visit in London and this hotel was perfect for that. Clean and modern hotel. I thought it was great value for money. Only mild negatives that I would have are that the rooms could do with a safe and also some drawers etc for storage. But that's not a big deal for a short weekend visit like we had. The iron in the room was absolutely dire though!! But overall, I'd recommend the hotel.

Didn't sample any food. Brick Lane was a walk away so ate there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. The immediate area around the hotel was a bit run down but they can hardly do anything about that. However, I walked along Hackney Road to Bethnal Green Road and then down onto Brick Lane. I then continued in a circular route along Bethnal Green Road and cut through a housing estate back to the hotel. I didn't feel threatened in any way. Good way to see parts of the East End. All in all it was very good value for money.

This hotel is fine, I arrived quite late and was walking to my room within 5 minutes, unfortunately there was someone already in there so I went back to reception and they upgraded me free of charge and very quickly. I went to the bar for a drink and asked them what time they stopped serving food, they told me 11 so I ordered at 10.20. but the kitchen was closed. They did however have some food left over from a previous finger buffet which they provided free of charge. There were some drunk people around the bar area which were not to my taste and the fact that the staff did not seem bothered told me that it maybe a regular occurance so I may have got a lucky night. The room was very quiet and I felt quite happy. I would have stayed an extra night if I had needed too and I would stay there again. The room cost me 60 and for this amount of money it's perfect. The rooms are normally 90, I would say there are nicer places for 90 so shop around. The area is fine, I walked for 20 minutes the next day and it seemed quiet enough.

I started with the conference venue and worked out until I could find something affordable. The area wasn't great, but that said - a 10 minute walk from the tube to a lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, everything was clean and fresh, lovely shower and restuarant. If you like football, the match on sky sport in the dining area would be a bonus. The food is lovely and a shuttle bus to the conference for 2 was the icing on the cake! If I was in that area I would stay again. Also made me think I would try a DAYS hotel again, if that is the company standard. Thanks Laterooms.com

The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous and the room was an excellent size/quality for the location and price. The internet access was a bit overpriced, as was the wine (5.75 a glass is apparently a bargain), but it is in London so you sort of expect it. The shuttle service is a great idea if you need to get somewhere in the morning - i got it to Moorgate for 2, far more comfortable than the tube and a lot cheaper than a taxi. It's free if there's more than 1 person travelling, so definitely worth it.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a newly built hotel, spotlessly clean with great service! Staff were all very helpful and polite. Only negative thing we can mention was the lighting in the room was a bit dim although the lighting in the bathroom was very good. There is a courtesy bus available morning and evening (free to 4 or more guests travelling together) but we would like to have seen more information provided on local public transport. The area is on the edge of the map available in reception so difficult to find where we were in relation to tubes and which buses to catch. Would recommend the hotel to anyone who is happy to stay outside the main tourist areas for a quiet, excellent base in London. We can't wait to visit the hotel again. Thanks for a great stay.

Arrived quite late (11pm) at the hotel and whilst reception had a copy of my online booking, they said they were fully booked and took some time to find us a room. We had to wait whilst the receptionist sent a member of staff up to the room to make sure it had been cleaned. Appears that this is a problem with their computer booking system rather than a staff or cutsomer service issue. When we eventually got to the room, it was clean, well designed and perfect for our needs - we were staying for one night only. Hotel was very quiet. Ice machine on ground floor by the lifts. Plenty of towels in the bathroom but could have used a couple of flannels. Didn't have breakfast as we had to be out by 6.30am. Overall, we would stay again (probably not at this particular location as we had to stay here for a specific reason).

We had cooked breakfast in the morning which was a bit expensive (9.95 each), but expectant of London prices. Could have been a bit hotter too - but overall good selection which included continental breakfast too in the price.
The only problem we found with our room was that it had a door enabling the room to be conjoined with another - this meant that we could hear everything going on in the next room, and unfortunately the people in there at the time were quite noisy - a family with young children who were up at 6:30am!
Very impressed overall with quality of furnishings - especially the shower - best hotel shower I've ever used. Great bed, and also a great TV. Also was impressed with 24hr reception and entry to the hotel late at night using the same key card as for room. Consierge very helpful and friendly. I left my comments with hotel-hard to give a general rating as service varied. The main
problems were -lighting in room-too dark to work/read in & I hate soap dispensers
attached to wall-at those prices a small bar of soap should not cost much!
The first night I ate in hotel & food was good & set menu excellent value for money. I
didn't eat again until last night when my daughter joined me. The service was poor despite
there only being about 4 tables occupied. We went in ay 8-10 & ordered at 8-20. At 8.30
a large (expected) group arrived. They had obviously pre-ordered as food was ready for
them. Unfortunately the rest of us were ignored. We had only ordered garlic bread &
calamari for starters but we didn't get them until 9.15 & then only because I had asked
at least 3 times where our food was. It wasn't so much that we had to wait but that no-one
had the courtesy to let us know what was happening. Indeed the group had eaten & left
before we got our main courses-mine was fish & chips & was dried up & my daughter's
salad wasn't quite right. And I forgot to mention that my garlic bread when it finally
arrived was actually a pizza base not bread. So mixed feelings!

Great hotel. Modern, clean, pleasant. Its own restaurant and bar means that you don't have to go out, which is a blessing in Bethnal Green. And there's the snag... it may be only a mile or two from the City but don't go expecting fancy eateries or sightseeing. This is east end rather than west end. If you're not driving then it's a 10 minute walk from the tube and getting on one in the rush hour is virtually impossible. But if you just need a comfortouble hotel, convenient for the city then this won't blow anyone's budget.

Fine hotel in terms of cleanliness etc but the location was hugely disappointing. It says it's Shoreditch but you've got to go past Hackney City Farm before you reach it. Not as central and convenient as the description led us to believe.

The hotel is new and very clean. However they had run out of complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste and the quilts only just covered the beds - my son and I both had our feet sticking out the bottom.
Hot water was not very hot - imnpossible to have a really hot shower or bath

The food in the restaurant was very overpriced for what you actually got. We paid nearly 10 for a meal which would have been suitable for a young child, there was no where near enough for the price we paid. When we arrived there was no kettle in our room but the staff were happy to help and sorted it out straight away. Overall the standard of the hotel is very good, its very easy to get to by tube or train, the rooms are very clean and modern and we would definitely consider coming back again.

My daughter (10) and I stayed overnight last Saturday. The hotel staff was efficient and the room compact but excellent with no night time noise or disturbances. We took a bus virtually outside the hotel to Oxford Circus and were there very quickly. We ate outside the hotel at the Premises, a lovely music cafe about 1/4 mile from hotel towards the city centre. There is a decent size park nearby for an early morning jog and the canal is also near. The area, though run down, is interesting and we felt very safe walking back from the cafe at 10pm. The room was very clean and everything worked!

The hotel only opened a few months ago and everything was therefore modern and clean. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was good - the shower hot and powerful. The towel rails were badly fixed and will probably not last that long, but apart from that everything was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

New, very clean. Very good value for money for London. Desk staff are very helpful. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Shoreditch is not the most appealing location, but other than that I would highly recommend this hotel. Ths is the first hotel I now look for availability when staying in London. I almost want to keep it a secret so it isn't full the next time I try and book!

I stayed in a 'work zone' room was was very nice indeed and quite spacious given the money. The main drawback is the distance from any tube station as it can be quite a walk if you have luggage with you. The food in the restaurant for both evening and breakfast was very nice and good value as well. My main gripe is that when I called reception for an iron and board, I was told that I had to come down to reception to collect it myself and leave a 10 deposit which was returned when I brought the iron back to reception after using it.

This hotel appeared to be new. It was very clean and I stayed in the Work Zone which is designed for business travellers to enable them to work in their room. The problem with this hotel is that it was not that easy to get to. I travelled by train to Kings Cross and underground to Liverpool St Station then had to get a taxi to the hotel. There is nothing near the hotel of interest and there are no nice bars or restaurants nearby, so it is just as well that the hotel offers good value meals and a pleasant bar area.

Very comfortable room, good shower, very quiet compared to many hotels in London. The main drawback is the location which is pretty grim. It's a fairly long walk to the nearest tube at Bethnal Green, but there are frequent buses from a stop just outside the hotel.
The mostly Eastern European staff were very pleasant. I had a problem working out how the safe in my room functioned and although the young woman at the desk did not know the answer she sent somebody up to the room to show me. The room safe, incidentally, was big enough to take a laptop - full marks for that.

Hotel was fantastic for a business stay. Check-in took a long time even though there were 2 people on the desk and very small queue and had to sign about 5 times which was an irritant after a long day, but the room was top notch, exceptionally clean etc. Not a great view but thats down to the location and we were commuting back to Islington which was a 10 minute cab so perfect for us but not so much for a leisure stay. Bar was nice, restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. Free paper in the morning and check out was considerably easier! Quiet and comfortable, would definitely stay again!

Very new hotel, all fittings and fixtures to a very high standard, Room size good with flat screen wall mounted TV. I did find the room very very dark even with all the lights turned on. They have used downlighters but they just are not bright enough. I tried the restaurant, I was the only person in there, so service was fast. I ordered a tuna steak salad when it arrived and I started eating it, not only was the tuna steak hot but the green beans and boiled potatatoes were hot and they been put on top of the green salad! Unusual to say the least for a salad. It still tasted nice though I mentioned it to the waitress she was also surprised and went to tell the chef. When i got the bill 10% service charge had been added on as well, some people just don't have a clue! Overall though a very nice hotel.

Location was excellent for access to the city. Don't use the tube - use Cambridge Heath mainline station as it's only 5 minutes walk from the hotel and reaches Liverpool Street in 5 minutes. Me and my mum walked back to hotel at 1am on a friday morning and felt completely safe. We thought the room was excellent, the staff friendly and would definately stay there again without hesitation!

I think that clean towels were still left even though I left none on the floor to be replaced.
Communication between reception and restaurant could be better. I had problem every time I ate there. Breakfast was not included with my room rate but because my name was not on the list it seemd to be a problem when I wanted breakfast and to pay on my room. Also, even though the reception took credit card authorisation over and above the cost of the room the restaurant were unaware of this and initially wanted me to pay separtaly until they cross-checked with reception. This was frustrating.
