Army v navy weekend

Very pleasant hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say would be an improvement would be that you could order food to your room in an evening. As a woman travelling alone, even though I was really hungry I did not feel comfortable going and sitting down in the bar area alone for food so I ended up not eating. Breakfast was very nice though and was able to be ordered to my room.

Nice stay

Very clean, convenient to High Street (not the best part of town but close to the airport and good value for money) ..Had problems with both the Internet and TV but that was not the hotel's fault. It needs new carpeting throughout but the room was spotless otherwise.

Friendly & Clean Hotel!

Had a nice stay for about 7 days in this hotel in Hounslow. We were under a budget and had to pick a place outside of central london. The neighbourhood was not great but the hotel staff were friendly. The food wasn't great at all. On the first night we stayed and ate in, it was barely edible. The next few days were better. Overall a good stay!

Lovely Hotel

My partner and myself stayed here before catching an early morning flight from Heathrow the following morning. Only a few stops from heathrow on the tube, and about 20 mins to get into central London. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless. Very comfy bed, good bathroom. Great value for money. Much nicer than a Travelodge!! Would highly recommend this hotel!

Good location, handy for tube station

Close to Hounslow centre, and 200 yds from Tube station. Restaurant prices a bit pricey, but plenty of options in town centre. Cracking full English for £3.99 at cafe by Tube station.

Top quality room - really pleased

For what was certainly at the budget end of the spectrum in terms of price, the room was entirely the opposite. Well furnished with high standard of cleanliness, nice soft linen etc. Really great. The only niggle if any at all was that, for some reason, the LED lighting fixtures above the bed had no way of being switched off entirely so there was always some glow.
Be aware that this hotel is under the Heathrow flight path so the early morning flights may interrupt your sleep. But you knew it was near Heathrow, right?
Would absolutely stay again.

Friendly staff, narrow beds!

We liked this hotel, although the public rooms were very cold. Also, I booked a triple room, as I was staying with my grown-up daughters, but the beds were very narrow, not a full single size. However, the staff were lovely! They couldn't do enough for us, very friendly and professional - when we'd settled in our room we had a call from reception to check everything was ok with the room; so simple to do, yet it had never happened to us before!
The food in the restaurant was good at dinner, breakfast was cold.

Days Inn Hounslow

Excellent location, 2min to Hounslow Central Tube Station. Close to Town Centre, bars & restaurants.
I cannot complement the staff highly enough at this hotel. All go out of there way to make you feel welcome, and ensure that your stay is comfortable.
Rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the food in the restaurant is excellent.
The hotel has a private car park, with limited availability (approximately a dozen spaces), for which a charge of £10 per night is made. There is on street parking available in neighboring side streets, which is Pay and Display. Charges are £1 per 30 minutes, but charges are only applied between 09:30-18:00.
I have stayed at other hotels in the area, but none can match the quality and value for money offered by the Days Inn.

Booked 2 rooms to visit relatives

Had to change one due to no electric but they did upgrade my brother & partner he was very satisfied with it - the only complaint could hear people in next room talking and wardrobes banging in the mornings but other than that very satisfied - very clean and new looking hotel pity about the building site across the road but when whatever is built it most likely will be better- would definitely book again as visiting relatives - the bar was very cold in the reception/ dining area & 3 hours later our glasses were still where we had left them

I've stayed here before and find the hotel to be exceptionally good value for money; even managed to grab the last car park space upon arrival which was a worry. The only criticism here is not of the actual hotel but of the laterooms note of the location. I booked the hotel because the site said it was 4.2 miles from where I needed to be for an important meeting.....when I left the hotel and input my destination into the sat nav, it was actually 11.9 miles which consequently due traffic etc, make me 40 minutes late for my meeting! Idrive a car, not fly a helicopter! Cracking hotel though and will always stay there if possible.

Staff friendly and room clean

Within our party we had 3 adults sharing 1 room which was fine, but we didnt have enough milk in the room. I also emailed when i made the booking that 1 memeber of the group had a gluten allegy and when we ate in the restaurant the choice was very limited with the staff having to run in check with the chef if we could order a certain thing or not. Having worked in the hotel business for 15 years still find it really odd that hotels do not cater for people that have allegies. I was told at reception that bacon is wheat free, which is correct but not very helpful when i tried to ask about the breakfast .We checked with a member of staff about the chips if they would be ok and was told that yes it would be fine, yeah steak and chips for dinner and when it arrived it was steak with loads of veg and no other option was given for potato, not even a jacket spud? and we were not told until the meal arrived

Poor checkin/checkout

Stayed many times here as it is very convenient for Heathrow and access to London and is normally clean and efficient. However this time the computer system was playing up so had to wait 30 minutes to checkin - finally got to room at half-past midnight. Next morning they could not print the bill, which I needed for company expenses. They promised to send the bill, but I never received it. Now I am personnally GBP90 out of pocket!

Technological malfunctions

Air conditioner/heater not working. Staff offered a change of room or portable heater. I opted for the heater which was promptly provided. Pamphlets there showed Wyndham Rewards were offering a 3rd night free after registering on line. Told desk clerk I wanted to stay another night and tried to logon but the free internet computer next to the desk was slow [the second adjacent computer was u/s not working at all] After battling unsuccessfully with the computer and returning to the clerk I found that my room was no longer available. If some of the staff had more fluent English they may have understood that the priority was to keep the room regardless of "free offers".Food was fine; restaurant staff good; location 100m from tube to heathrow good. Location near Hounslow shops/govt offices and Indian & other restaurants good.

Great for a business stay

Stayed for one night prior to attending an exhibition in central london. Very clean and comfortable room, and made very welcome on arrival. Chose the hotel as it has a car park and is an easy walk from a tube station (good cafe on the way for breakfast/coffee). Free WiFi is welcome , and the room has space to work. My second stay here, and I will certainly use it again.

A brief stay at the Days Hotel, Hounslow....

A very warm, polite and friendly welcome on arrival. 'Paperwork' dealt with courteously and efficiently.
allocated room - lift and clear guidance.....room fresh and clean....tea or coffee provided. Bed comfortable! Bathroom clean and enough white, fluffy towels, soap and shower gel.....
Continental breakfast was superb - fresh - variety of food - staff excellent. I would certainly make arrangements to stay there again and recommend to friends.

Great Find

This hotel is situated about two blocks away from the Hounslow Central station and just a few stops away from the Heathrow Airport. We stayed here upon our arrival and departure in England. The neighborhood is not upscale but nice enough and there is a great park for kids to play in two blocks away. There are also nearby restaurants, including a nice pub serving excellent Indian food. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accomodating. The rooms were average and fairly good-sized; however, on both nights we stayed there were minor things wrong with the room--fan not working, light burnt out--but you can't beat the price for a one night layover in London and ease in getting to the airport. I suggest the hotel add walking directions to the hotel from the tube station on their website to make it easier for people like us travelling without a car to find--Mapquest has the hotel located on the wrong side of the station.

Good hotel to stay at for Twickenham Rugby Ground

Good, clean hotel. Rooms very clean and good quality. Communal areas could do with being cleaned and tidied up, but otherwise had no complaints. Hotel was very quiet and staff extremely helpful. Lots of good shops round about but a lack of quality restaurants in the area. Do not be tempted to visit the real china restaurant. Great hotel if you just want to crash for the night whilst visiting Twickenham. 500 yards from hotel to tube station. 1 hour from hotel to centre of london.

Our reservation was not there on arrival approx 12 midnight and it was made out that it was our fault as we had booked ealier the same day. we were also made out to be liars as the rate we had off here was cheaper than they normally charged as was warned that 'it would be checked in the morning' after finally finding a double room by sending someone looking for one. on confirming with the gentlemen behind reeption that it was a double and not two singles we were happy to go up to our room after our 40min wait. unfortunatly on arrival we found two single beds 3inches apart with seperate bedding and a blanket spead over the end of both. on ringing reception again we decided our efforts were fruitless and decided to go to sleep, shame the air conditioning wasnt working. the one redeaming factor was the good breakfast and the polite and friendly serving staff in the morning. i think the night management could take some lessons! the most dissapointing thing was that the simple mistake with our reservation could have been solved with a sincear apology and reasurance that they had done everything they could... basic guest service.

The hotel was easy to find on the main street, we reserved parking but when we arrived there was plenty of on-street parking or a public car park behind the hotel so would use this in future. Room was clean and had basic tea making facilities. Staff were helpful and check-in and out was straight forward. Only disapointment was breakfast was not included [which we knew], but a very good cafe round the corner - Pop Inn Cafe - serves a mean and full value breakfast if you are on a budget.
