this is the first time I have used a service like this - in the picture advertisement, the room looked more like a flat - it wasn't.It was a cupboard with a bed and wardrobe. no kettle, no washbasin. all shared facilities - on the second floor, with no lift. There was a TV in the room.I have to say that everything was very clean - the shower room/kitchenette - all very clean, but accommodation was very cramped, and not what I expected.I am an older lady, and was in London on my own, to see a couple of shows, and walked back at night, like you do in London - but the entrance was in a little side street, off another side street, and although I'm not usually nervous about that kind of thing, I prefer to keep to the main roads. The young man was very friendly and helped me up/downstairs with my suitcase, but I won't be using them again.

Friendly and efficient customer service clean and comfortable...
Friendly and efficient customer service, clean and comfortable accommodation and excellent value for money for central London. For the business traveller, the format is a bit unusual at first: the rooms are pretty small and basic (but clean and comfortable with a TV + freeview, ironing facilities and free wi-fi); bathrooms are shared (2 bathrooms for 4 rooms per floor - kept immaculately clean by the housekeeping staff); and you have a communal sitting/dining room and kitchen (with well stocked fridges full of breakfast food and access to a washing machine/dryer). Once you get over the fact you're out of your usual business hotel type environment, I found the experience really refreshing - the range of primarily business/professional people coming through the ApartHotel meant you were never stuck for conversation (I ended up out at dinner, visited the theatre....and made a couple of trips to the pub...with fellow guests and a couple of the staff); being able to cook rather than eat out or live off sandwiches during a 2 week trip made a pleasant (and cost efficient) change as did access to a washing machine; and although I wasn't desperately keen at first on the idea of sharing a bathroom, once I got used to the 3 foot dash across the landing, I quickly adjusted to not having ensuite. I guess that the format might not be for everyone (kind of hotel meets hostel meets flatshare), but for business travelers looking to save a good few quid on usual London rates and make a change from the monotony of corporate hotels, I thoroughly recommend giving the ApartHotel a go......as for me, I've already booked my next stay.

I stayed in 'London Serviced ApartHotel' for four...
I stayed in 'London Serviced ApartHotel' for four days, so I could do the London marathon on 25 Apr 10 (I got 3hr 20mins :-). I've a wide range of experiences of London hotels, from budget places I've paid for, to 4-star places my employer has paid for. This was the best I've ever stayed in, of both types. The place is ideally-located, only 200 metres from Goodge Street tube station, and within 600-700 metres of Oxford Street, and it's surrounded by an extremely vibrant shopping and restaurant area.I was in one of four compact-but-perfectly adequate bedrooms, each of which had a desk, chair and TV, on a floor with a shower , two toilets and a kitchen with microwave. Everything and everywhere was immaculately clean, and was cleaned every day by the very helpful staff. There was a sunny, airy communal area upstairs with a small outdoor seating 'deck area', and a fully-equipped kitchen with oven, pots, pans, cooking oil, etc. This was ideal for both doing work, and cooking your own food: there is a Tesco, Sainsbury's and M&S within 300 metres, so you don't have to haemorrhage money eating out all the time. (Should you wish to do so however, you're spoiled for choice.) There was also - thankfully - no TV in the communal area, so you don't have to listen to football/Emmerdale/whatever rubbish other people are in to! (There are TVs in every room, so people can rot their brains in private :-)The kitchen area also included free bacon, eggs, bread, butter, jam, cereal, milk, orange juice and apple juice. I didn't use anything other than some of the of juice myself, but it was terrific that it was all there for you if you wanted it. This place was ideally priced: I don't want to be paying for some guy to open the door for me, or for a vast room which I'll spend most of my time sleeping in anyway: the balance of cost/luxury in this place was *perfect*. This is ideal for people travelling alone, with friends, or on business) - I very definitely got value-for-money, and will recommend it unhesitatingly to friends, family and colleagues in the future. (Although 'London Serviced ApartHotel' is a pretty clunky name: they could do with something more catchy!)Without doubt, I will be returning here as my default option in the future. My only caveat with this review is that if word gets out it'll be constantly booked out and I won't be able to get in myself!Ross McLeod27th April, 2010

It was a little hard to find but to young men met me at the nearest corner and directed me to the apartments and proudly showed me through their new hotel. The whole place was bright, fresh & clean. As I explained to them that I would be working late that evening, they let me sleep in and check out at 1pm. There's a shared kitchen which was clean and well stocked with milk, juice, bread and breakfast cerials. The single room was tiny but perfect for the one night that I stayed. It was close to Soho and there's plenty of restaurants and good shopping in the area. I would definately stay again.

Excellent value for money, clean and very convenient central London location with lots of local shops, bars and restaurants. Shared bathroom facilities may be a problem for some people and being a large person found the shower cubicals and bathroom facilities very small. Other than that everything is functional with communal kitchen facilities stocked with tea, coffee & basics, cable TV, plus daily cleaning of rooms etc. Perfect for someone on business who does not need luxuries and wants good quality budget accomodation.

This was my 5th trip to London and finally I've found a hotel I'll be coming back to!In this price category (<£50) there is no better deal. Clean, friendly and quiet. The house was totally new, so no squeaking floorboards, well designed new rooms and a fantastic self-serve breakfast room with views over London. The shower/toilet isn't in the room, but they are large, clean and shared by just 4 rooms.

If you are like me and only use a hotel as somewhere to sleep, wash and have breakfast, then this is ideal! It is clean and quiet, You make your own breakfast but the choice is ok. You share the bathroom and shower facilities, but there are two of them on a floor with only four rooms. Personally, I think £55 per night, making your own breakfast and sharing bathrooms is still a little steep, but then again, I couldn't find anything of better value! I recommend.

Seems to be a relatively new place - needs some modifications/additions though to smooth the edges as they say... - simple things like toilet roll holders, mirrors in bedrooms, bedside lights/lamps, and a few more kitchen items - but on the whole all the finishings are new, and kept clean and tidy. If you are a solo traveller this is a very good choice, particularly for the locationwhich proved to be excellent for walking to most places, otherwise the convenient Goodge St tube is only 100 meters away.Any questions/issues are attentively dealt with by a most helpful staff who are very professional - this group is run by a young service staff who are eager (and able) to make their mark on London.(And check-out the local pub The Hope just across the corner - also very helpful staff and a great place to unwind in the evenings - the burgers are good value).

On first arrival at the quot Newsagent quot...
On first arrival at the "Newsagent" this was quite strange as I have never had to pick up keys from a shop then travel by taxi to the actual place of residence. Upon arrival we were both extremely please with the location for it being right in the centre of Covent Garden, London. However our joys of excitement were soon nulled by the size and minimal features we had on offer. From the moment we stepped into the converted flat we could tell this was a "First & Last" time for us. The bathroom was extremely small and the toilet didn't work properly and the cistern ran constantly which was a noise annoyance. The lift to the 5th floor (Where Flat9 is situated) didn't work so the stairwell had to be used. On our departure we were rudely awaken by a gentleman entering the flat foyer and began to hoover and empty bins in the other rooms at 0645hrs on a Sunday!!!!! This was then the final straw we thought but no, He decided to Knock on our door at 0700hrs and asked when we were leaving. We paid in cash and asked for a receipt, but 3 days later still no receipt. To sum up our experience of traveling from Bolton to London for a Romantic weekend in this establishment was only spoilt by not being able to claim our monies back and find elsewhere.Sorry if this sounded extremely negative but people must be aware of the cramp & limited facilities of this residence, for the flat to be converted into "So-called" double rooms its unfair to boast of this room to be classed as a double more of a larger single room.

Judging from the street, you wouldn't know it's there, but this hotel was extremely clean, safe, and centrally located. Perfect for the gentleman (or lady) in town for a few days on business (or holiday - though it must be said that the hotel doesn't encourage one to stay indoors; but on the other hand, this is London, so why would you want to?).

Room as described - small but comfortable and clean. Brilliant location for ease of access to central London. Slight road noise, but nothing more than anywhere in London.Collected key as arranged, but didn't see anyone else except other guests after I arrived.Shown where kitchen and bathroom were, but not how anything in them worked.Desk in room more of a token gesture and not useable. TV mounted for too high on the wall, therefore not easily watchable and TV remote didn't work.Fridge stocked with Tesco economy bacon and eggs for breakfast with juice, tea and coffee available.Overall - Good value for money for central London.

For the most part I was very impressed with the ApartHotel. Coudn't have asked for a better location. Short walk to Leister Square, Oxford Street and Picadilly Circus. In addition to the fully equiped kitchen and a refrigerator stocked with breakfast food there were dozens of different places to eat within an short walk. The room was small (but I have seen smaller) and had a 26" LCD screen with Freeview. The WIFI was out for a couple of days but the kitchen had a direct LAN cable hookup that held me over until the WIFI was restored. Comfortable bed, bathrooms and kitchens were clean. The only negative was the thin walls. It wasn't an issue as long as your flatmates are courteous. Noise was a slight problem on 2 of the 12 nights I stayed.

Picked up my keys from the newsagent holding them, and the guy carried my bag round the corner to the building wgere the apartment is.The apartment is on the third floor, no lift. Small building. Stairs not that inviting, but apartment is modern, and recently decorated to a high standard in a contemporary style. Single bed in room with TV (Freeview channels), wardrobe, chair & small table. Shared bathrooms in corridor have constant hot water, high quality fittings, but compact!Nice kitchen with fridge stocked with food (bacon, eggs, orange juice, milk, bread, ketchup etc). I didn't realise this when I booked it and was a nice surprise. Great to be able to rustle up breakfast or snack at any time of day. Sainsburys, Tesco etc all a minute away for stocking up.Iron and board available.I think you will enjoy staying here if you are a more self sufficient kind of person who would cope in a well run hostel. One thing that did worry me was the street door was lying open about 4 times when I came back to and left the building. I made sure I took my passport and cards with me when I went out.

This is an excellent aparthotel in the heart of london. For the price, the quality is superb. The room is small, but very nicely furnished in keeping with the size (drop down desk etc) The decor throughout is very clean and modern and the kitchen facilities are excellent with plenty of food for breakfast available and I was often invited to leave my washing up to the cleaning team. The only down side is that it is on the 4th floor and the communal stairs could have been cleaner, but I may just have experienced a bad few days. If you have a minor mobility impairment and need a stair rail, there is only one on the RHS as you ascend and there are quite a few right hand corner stairs.A really fantastic stay and I will definitely be going again.
