Excellent location and hotel.

I make this commnet for all up market hotel rooms.
Why do have polyeaser pilloes and duvets/. Cheap and nasty.
Stayed for one night for our 40th Anniversary and had a wonderful time. The hotel is excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Have recommended this hotel to others and would definitely stay again.
Summary
The milk in the rooms were off, ask for a hair dryer never came.
told the breakfast was included we had to pay extra
The staff were lovely and helpful - and redeemed this hotel completely. The room was perfectly fine, and you need to take into account the location of the hotel (St James) when thinking about how the accommodation compares to the price. Anywhere else I would expect to pay £150-£180 for this room - but in a prime real estate area you pay prime prices.
Scored low for food - although we only had breakfast, but for the price the food was VERY average, and if you're going to charge £25 for breakfast, it should at least be quality ingredients.
Check in was a bit stressful at first, although that was down to Laterooms not knowing how to cope with a double barreled surname.
Overall, the hotel looks lovely, and the atmosphere in the bar was relaxing after a stressful day (although expect to pay eye watering prices)....the staff are very helpful too. Just could do with a bit more of an "haute cuisine" approach to meals to reflect the prices, felt more like a canteen at the front of the building.
An imposing traditional 4 Star hotel in a smart location. Convenient for Victoria, Buckingham Palace, tourist attractions and St James & Green Park's. A bit of a hike back from Soho and Covent Garden after midnight, but that is not a problem (unless very late and/or raining!)
Very much enjoyed our stay, and will use again.
This is a great place to stay centrally to the centre and just round the corner from Buckingham palace and hence the parks. The service was excellent from start to finish. The room was great, even with bathrobes, a fridge and an ice bucket which you can fill from the ice dispensers situated around the hotel. Staff were very friendly and happy for us to have breakfast in the stunning courtyard, although we didn't in the end as it was a bit chilly. Would definitely return.
Summary
The hotel was in a good location and minutes from St. James Park tube station.
It was very clean but the room was quite basic. The room did have an iron, ironing board, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities though. There were a lot of little extras which were nice also i.e. towelling robes, pillow spray (to aid sleep), and there was a notice that reception would bring some complimentary toiletries if guests forgot them.
The service was excellent (apart from the person who checked the minibar and went as far as removing the lid from a product to ensure the seal wasn't broken).
There is a fabulous Indian restaurant (Michelin Star) several doors down which was delicious. There was also a bar attached to the hotel with reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel is located in a great location either for business or touring London. The staff are very helpful and always available if you need help. The room I stayed in was one of the best I have stayed in London, clean, large with lots of space and had every thing I required plus more.
Summary
Great rate from laterooms in a very nice hotel
Summary
When i booked this hotel there was no mention of major building works being carried out all round the hotel and that the underground passed directly underneath the hotel making it a very noisy place to stay hotel vastly over priced considering these conditions rooms could also do with a make over
Summary
I have stayed in many hotels but I have never been so welcomed by the others. They rang to comfirm, rang to check my special request and made it happen. You won't need any recommendations about this place... the word perfect is the only word I can use to describe it!
Summary
Great hotel, great staff and great location
Summary
We stayed at this hotel for its close proximity to the finish of The London Marathon and some popular tourist spots. Myself, my wife and teenage daughter stayed at the hotel and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained and the food was good and a reasonable price for a central London hotel. We would all definitely stay again. For those staying at the weekend it is worth noting that you can park on the road outside the hotel for free. Also internet access in the bedrooms is chargeable.
Summary
Generally excellent hotel with competent and considerate staff and comfortable accommodations; price is a bit stiff, but for the location, worth the shekels.
Summary
Room met our expectations.
TV remote was faulty but I mentioned it when checking out.
Good location
Great ambiance in lobby/bar area
The hotel is beautiful and the newly refurbished rooms are tastefully decorated with every attention to detail. The staff are thoughtful, courteous and take complete care of you, making your stay absolutely delightful.
Summary
When we arrived the hotel tried to charge us £300 more than was originally quoted on the website, this completely ruined our first afternoon and caused in my mind unecessary stress. When cghecking out the price charged was actually the price quoted plus VAT (which was not originally explained in the paperwork) The hotel was clean and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Summary
Room needed redecoration. Other than that it was 1st class.

The hotel and staff were excellent. Lovely quiet location but close to tube and interesting places to see. We had a very warm welcome and the staff could not do enough for you. Would definately go again in the summer to be able to sit in the courtyard which was stunning.
Summary
I was planning a trip to London to propose to my girlfriend and upon informing the duty manager of this I was instantly upgraded. As we arrived at the hotel we were instantly assisted with our bags while we settled the taxi fare and every one of the hotel's army of staff greeted us with what seemed to be genuine enthusiasm. Our bags were whisked away to out room and check-in was fast and efficient. The lobby itself was beautiful and tastefully decorated, to be inhabited by a live pianist later that evening.
The room itself was stunning offering lovely views of the delightful courtyard and the decor was classical and tasteful. No faults with the room and room service was rapid and polite.
The highlight of the room was undoubtedly the bed- a great deal of effort had obviously been put into ensuring that it was as comfortable as possible. It was exquisite to lie on and an aromatherapy set was complimentary to ensure a good nights sleep. Only minor gripe was that noises of workmen and groups of people could be heard in the morning from the nearby street.
Location was perfect, less than 2 minutes walk to Buckingham palace and 8 minutes to houses of parliament. Most major london attractions are within walkable distance and sightseeing bus tours can be caught adjacent to buckingham palace. Transport links are superb as St James underground station is <3 minute walk away.
There are some delightful sandwich stores opposite the hotel (and reasonably priced) which we frequented several times (including for the highly recommended hangover cure - 'big breakfast' sandwich).
All in all a lovely stay in an exquisite hotel. Will visit again and cannot recommend enough. The staff did all they could, going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the crowne plaza has a place is our hearts.
There was a problem with using a debit card, they charged a deposit of £100 to use this method of payment. The room had AC system close to the room which was noisy even with the window closed. The bath had not been cleaned well, but the room was quite pleasant. The hotel being located close to Buckingham Palace. We got the room at a special rate of £160 a night.
Summary
Good choice of hotel to the crown plaza standard
Some vibration from the underground, or was the earth moving - I wish!
Great location. Hotel great. Cooked breakfast from buffet poor.
Summary
Tiny room so price comparison / discount was misleading. Overall room was big enough for overnight stay in central London but really not clean with dirty carpet and bathroom walls covered in hair.

Who could fail to love this beautiful hotel and setting - only those who wish to stay in a modern 'box'. The only slight disappointment was to be offered the 'catch of the day' only to be told after the order was processed that it was not available. Experienced staff would have checked this, its all about setting expectations ..................
Summary
We stayed for our anniversary and got a lovely upgrade to a suite. The place was spotless, the service very very good. Hotel felt luxurious with some lovely modern restaurants and a great long bar. We ate at Quilon and it was superb. Really wanted to try the spa and gym as well but no time. We really couldn't fault any of it and count it as one of our best nights away ever!
Summary
Ideal for Victoria and Westminster

High quality accommodation in a great part of town.
Summary
The room was beautiful although there was no view to speak of - just more windows! It was warm, clean and spacious. We were welcomed by lovely, polite reception staff and although we had to wait an hour because our room wasn't ready when we got there we were offered complimentary tea/coffe whilst we waited. The staff at Hamptons were just lovely - happy new year to you too!
We had room service one evening and the waiter was very polite and helpful
Altoghether a lovely place to be when it was so cold outside and a lovely break for us to celebrate our birthdays!
Thank you

My partner and I decided at the last minute to visit London for new years eve this year, and found a bargain for the Crowne Plaza, St James. From the minute we arrived, being ushered through the ornate double doors by the doorman, a warm and friendly greeting from the reception staff, and a beautiful south facing double room to relax in. To the minute we departed, being offered a convenient express check-out facility, and a helpful attendant to hail us a cab. I found no fault whatsoever with the room, the staff, the facilities or the cleanliness of the hotel. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the hotel housed an amazing spa offering any number of treatments, to which I unfortunatley did not find time to indulge in! I would certainly recommend this accommodation to couples, famillies and business travellers alike. Thanks Crowne Plaza, St James for making our new year truly memorable.
Summary
I loved this hotel from the moment we walked in to the beautiful reception area. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and we loved the location, The room itself was slightly tired but very spacious, the bed was very comfortable and all in all the deal we had was excellent value for money, We have stayed in many hotels in London and this was the only one I would visit again.
Well situated, with St James Park tube a couple of minutes walk & Westminster a ten minute walk. Very comfortable beds & a cosy bar made this hotel a good base & good value for money. The duty manager was particularly kind and helpful during a difficult situation.
Summary
Lovely hotel, great location, very helpful staff.
Only problem was the smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom
Arrived on District/Circle Line, so I come out of the wrong exit for the directions from St James Place. Really close though - just wander around and you'll find it. Good reception are and full concierge service. My room 154 is definitely on the small side and the bath is very narrow, with the result that when having a shower, it's too easy to get tangled up in the shower curtain.
They had some sleep enhancing stuff which you spray on to the pillows - worked for me, best night's sleep I've had for ages. Best iron I have had in a hotel room for ages too - what a difference that made.
All in all good value - speedy check-out works a treat. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed and quality toiletries. I was upgraded to a suite which was lovely, plenty of work space and a sofa to collapse onto.
