Staff were friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate an early arrival. The room was of a decent size by London standards, was well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and was quiet. The hotel looks to have had a pretty major renovation a few years back but now looks a bit frayed around the edges; the carpeting is dirty and stained and the paintwork has seen a few knocks. At £15pppn for coffee, pastries and cereal served in the room, we decided against the breakfast. Overall, this hotel was not bad value for this part of London, although better deals can be had.

The hotel is well placed for walking to the Kings road and surrounding areas. As we arrived on a saturday, we could park for free in the road too. I'd paid extra for an Executive room (£170). Whilst the room its self was spacious, the bathroom was miniscule, and the room was in the attic (note the lift only goes to the floor below). The bed was also two singles put together.
All in all I would say that I'd expect a little more for £170.

I had an excellent stay -- the room I had was well appointed and comfortable; the staff was friendly and helpful; the hotel itself was in a great location -- close to King's Road and within a couple of blocks from a Tube Station. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit London

This is the second time I've stayed at the Cranley, both times on business. the first time I had a rather small room but it was still nicely done and with an excellent bathroom. This time I opted for a larger room and couldn't believe how large it was for the price I paid (about $350US) which for London I thought was pretty amazing. I like the location in a trendy area of Kensington, though it's not really near the High Street, it is near the Gloucester tube stop and plenty of fun places for after work. It is a small notel and the business services are limited, but both times I've stayed they try very hard to help. I was particularly impressed this trip because I left a large amount of cash by mistake in the room safe and with one call they took care of it very responsibly. I would watch out for the cars they arrange as they are very pricey and they charge a fee for booking theatre reservations on top of the agency fee. But if you're looking for a nice room in a nice part of London, this is the place.
