I booked 2 rooms for friends and family, we are all female goup and even though we were all together at check in and had to explain that the booking had been put into wrong names (after I had also emailed the hotel previous to our arrival to enable them to change the names) and that we were all family and friends NOT couples we were still given a double rooms and not twins?!?!? We did not complain but would have thought good customer service would have sorted this appropriatley. Our room was very clean and comfortable but was rather alot smaller than would have expected for the price we paid.

Ho soggiornato solo una notte. La stanza era fredda e soprattutto molto rumorosa. Si affacciava sulla strada e la mattina i romuri dell'esterno costringono a svegliarsi forzatamente. La colazione è piuttosto ricca e di buona qualità.

We select this area when visiting London without the car because of good bus and tube links and a taxi rank at the door. Kensington Gardens provides an escape from the bustle of the city . The room was clean and much quieter than other city centre hotels I have experienced. It had the amenities we needed but lacked drawers and hanging space was limited. If we had been on a longer trip, we would have accepted the reduced priced upgrade offered on arrival. The full English Breakfast gave good start to a busy day. However we would particularly recommend a pre - theatre meal.

Impressive hotel, good location. Although, adequate, the room was small. I was staying there with my son, who is in his twenties (he had brought me tickets to see Oliver for my birthday!) and we had twin beds which were like being on a cruise ship.

The hotel is in an ideal location. The only problem is the rooms are quite small and the bathroom was very compact, side-stepping the toilet in order to get in and out of the bath. The room was clean and tidy and well kept.

First impressions when entering the hotel was excellent. However stepping inside our room it was sparsely furnished more functional than enjoyable. The en-suite was minute barely able to turn round in it and therefore very claustrophobic. Arriving for breakfast next day within the available times we were met with a queue, eventually giving our room no to member of staff and then being invited to serve ourselves tea or coffee (served on too low a table straining one's back) while waiting 20 mins for a table. This patter was repeated the next day even though I had complained and was promised a reserved table. When leaving the dining room the second day we heard the same patter despite having just left a half empty breakfast room. Hotel is very conveniently positioned within walking distance from Paddington so would like to have been able to use again on future visits. Would recommend with these reservations!

This is a fabulous hotel overlooking Hyde park, staff are very attentive one of our party is a celiac needing a wheat free diet, at breakfast bread was provided quickly and the next morning muesli, the food is serve yourself and plenty of it, we were also upgraded at no extra cost, large rooms with plasma tv. The only downside is if you go to breakfast after 8.30 you go on a queuing system, but this is minor because the hotel is superb. Its in walking distance to lots of attractions i cant recommend it enough and will definitely be staying again.

This was a very good value stay, in an area surrounded by mostly good, small restaurants and an excellent location to visit London with superb transport links (including heathrow via the Paddington links). The hotel room was quite small by double room standards but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was included in the deal and was above-average for this type of large hotel.

We have just spent 3 nights at this hotel and cannot fault it in any way. This is our third time in this hotel and we will be back next year. Some visitors were unhappy with the ten minute wait for breakfast but the hotel were up-front with their information, they had left a note in the bedroom to say it was busy after 8.30am. (complimentary tea and coffee were laid on while we read the morning papers) Well worth the wait in my opinion.

A very nice hotel. Everything is convenient and works well, and it's close to transport. My wife and I had a free upgrade to a slightly larger room.

Room was very clean if a little basic - the bathroom being very small. However for central London it was good value, as the price included a full English breakfast which was good quality. We had a light lunch upon arrival which was of poor quality. I would recommend the hotel on this basis.

The hotel is conveniently situated near the main shopping areas and the taxi fares are quite reasonable, although there are tube stations nearby. There is also an atmospheric pub around the corner serving reasonably priced food.

... small for the price. Had I paid the full amount I would have been disappointed. However, it was stylish, it had a view over Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens and it was very clean. The bathroom was only adequate, the washbasin squashed into a corner that was difficult to use. The photos of the lobby showed an elegant space as indeed proved the case, but the furnishings are all a little out of date and out of keeping with the classical design. It fell, however, well short of being tired.Value for money? Certainly, but I would have been disappointed if I had had to pay the list price. The staff were very helpful and could not be faulted.

Booked for 3 nights as a break away for my Fiancee's birthday. Had told hotel via laterooms about this and upon check in we were informed that we had a complimentary upgrade to a suite. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean quiet and spacious. Breakfast which was included was well-run and very nice, with plenty of choice. Underground station less than 200 yards away or alternatively there's a pleasant walk through Hyde Park to Marble Arch/Oxford Street. All in all, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone whether it's just an overnight stopover or a longer break.

A reasonable hotel and quite good value for London. One morning after a fire alarm (at 5am) there was at least an hour wait for breakfast, I didn't bother as I was told that my wait would be longer as I was on my own and they were giving prefefernce to groups of 2 or more - not good customer service. Good location next to the park and close to the tube.
