The only problem (and we considered it a major one) was that we were unable to open the bedroom window and let in fresh air.

I arrived after 10pm, was met with courteous and efficient service. The room was quiet and spacious, had everything I needed. The decor could do with updating but everything was spotlessly clean.

Get the aircon sorted& food this would be an ideal hotel
Summary
This weekend was a treat from my son for mother's day and my birthday. The weather was atrocious but the hotel was lovely! Room was excellent and had all facilities. Beds were very comfy so I slept well which was unusual for me. Only problem was when we booked in , my son and I were allocated a double room and not a twin as requested. The receptionist changed it though.
Breakfast was ok but toaster was a pain and didn't toast bread sufficiently ad if you ran it through again it burnt! Needs attention! Coffee wasn't very hot! I was a bit disturbed the way the person who oversaw the staff on the Monday morning was speaking to his staff! He actually took one member of the team to one side to reprimand him for talking! I felt sorry for the lad! This should be done out of earshot of customers. Bit unnerving the way he kept milling round as well!
Good value for area....would use again
Summary
Clean room, functional but probably not updated for 20 years looking very late 80's decor bed standard double seems small these days, nice shower. For london i suppose £138 without breakfast is reasonable but couldnt help feeling slightly disappointed.Had to mark the breakfast but didnt have any

Our 'upgrade' option to a Club Room was a very pleasant surprise & so worth it - very impressive!
The Hotel was very Friendly, relaxing & comfortable... & we would definitely want to stay again & would highly recommend it to friends, family & colleagues!
The housekeeping staff were incredibly loud in the hall way in the morning, no chance of a sleep in!
Summary
If you can get this hotel at a good rate on late rooms then I would happily recommend it for it's location, good accomodation and facilities. Only problem was one that is all too common, hot rooms and locked shut windows with not adequate enough air conditioning.
Summary
This hotel wins on its location which is perfect for public transport, shops & local restaurants byt it has failed to invest in maintaining its rooms ... shame !
Summary
Checking in on arrival was straight forward and the staff member was welcoming. The view from the room was superb as we were on the 12th floor in club accommodation. We stayed overnight and found the room very hot even tho we turned the air con down as low as it would go. As we only stayed one night we did not complain. Also the water pressure in the bathroom was low meaning flushing the toilet was an effort.
Breakfast which was included was good and plentiful and the Club lounge was restful. It was very convenient for the Royal Albert Hall which was the reason for our stay.
Food in this hotel also very good value for money. Breakfast at £10 good value and the cuisine at Bugis Street excellent. Rooms could perhaps do with a little tlc but overall the staff position and value for money outweigh the negatives.
Summary
Very nice hotel excellent service
Summary
Room was very hot. Problem came from heater/air con blowing behind the thick curtains.
Also needed to send 2emails with docs from laptop in the morning. Bought the connection from reception but didn't work!! Got refunded but who doesn't have complimentary wifi in reception?
The Hotel staff were friendly and accomodating, upgrading us to a club room on arrival without us asking. The bedroom was a good size but the bathroom and decor was a "bit tired". Although we were on the 11th floor, the lifts were spacious and very quick.
The main hotel, bars and sitting areas were comfortable and facilities good.
The breakfast was excellent, good quality and plenty of choice and value for money. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would return.
Hotel just around corner of tube station. If you like thai food I would reccommend the churchill pub about 10 mins walk from hotel.
Summary
Smooth check in, good quality furnishings and furniture, spacious room, nice and clean. A bit too warm in the room with indecipherable air conditioning controls! Breakfast in the morning was good quality but pricey and the dining room service was great, but there was one particular member of staff (the lady who greeted the guests into the dining room) who was inattentive and paused mid-sentence in her dealings with me to have an in-depth discussion with a colleague about another couple of guests and their coffee request. while I was standing around waiting and running late to boot!! How rude! Her colleague looked very uncomfortable at her behaviour, however, and the rest of the staff's service was outstanding, particularly the gentleman who I assumed was the manager of the dining room or the maitre d' or equivalent.
Summary
There is something wrong with the toilet system in the hotel room as it wasn't working effectively. Apart from this the hotel was nice and in a good location not far from the tube.
Summary
Nice hotel, centrally located.
Summary
Booked a "superior" room and got a disbled persons room (and - no - I didn't request one) - seems like when you book well ahead and get a good price it's a good reason to dump you in a tatty, smelly room!!
Summary
A superb stay. Nothing to complain about, everything was as it should be. And the tube is only 2 mins walk away.
Summary
The hotel was nice, well placed in Kensington, the club room was good everything you would expect but the aircon made noises all night even when switched off. The breakfast was a bit hectic but a good selection for £10. we would go again.
Summary
Friendly welcome and politness throughout and great Hotel and very Clean. Good Value for Money Would definately recommend and stay there again.
Summary
I stayed in for just the 1 night whilst my wife took a doctors exam in Kensington Town Hall. When we checked in we were given a free upgrade from double room to club room on the 11th floor (no idea why) and a complimentry breakfast (saved £24). Great view from the room over London. Tube train tracks were directly below but with the soundproofed windows we could barely hear it. Very spacious room with lots of storage. Good decor throughout. Best thing was the food which we had delivered to our room. Nachos, wedges, melted mozerella wrap and apple pie all beautifully presented and delicious for £25. We used their parking facility overnight but were only charge £15 as oppossed to the £32 listed. Excellent hotel for the price, don't be put off by the grubby looking exterior.
Summary
I booked the hotel at the last minute and it more than met my expectations. Parking was painless and travel by public transport into the west end really easy. The staff were faultless and most helpful. I will return.
Summary
Room was clean, if a little dusty. My bedside table was dusty to the eye ! small point, not an issue.
but the bed was clean and very comfy, the bathroom did everything well, and the receptionists and concierge were great, very polite and welcoming.
Slightly over attentive at Breakfast but very enjoyable stay. Great location.
Summary
A very good hotel and very central and just a few minutes from the tube
Summary
We stayed for 1 night, the location is great 5 min walk to kensington high street, the room was very clean, your'll probably need to put the aircon on as it gets really warm. staff extremely polite and helpful. We ate in the chinese restaurant, fantastic food! As a resident you get a reduced rate for parking. All good from us! :)
Summary
As we were celebrating my husbands birthday we went to our room to drop off our luggage and went back down to the bar where we had a drink and a bite to eat. I had a white wine spritzer to drink and was surprised when there was no ice in the drink and the soda was flat (in a place this size I would have thought that the soda would have been on tap, not from a plastic bottle). The burger that we had was fine. When we went back to our room it was quite late and we went straight to bed when suddenly, very close by, we could hear trains! On looking out of our window we were right next to the underground railway lines and trains were passing every 60 seconds! They didn't stop running until 1.00 a.m. and started up again at 4.45 a.m. so we had quite a sleepless night. We told reception and they moved us straight away. They were very pleasant about it and we were given a room on the other side of the hotel which was much better. On the night of my husbands birthday, we were going to go into the restaurant for dinner only to find that they had run out of steak! The Concierge directed us to a very nice Italian restaurant which was within walking distance of the hotel.
Back at the hotel we were given vouchers to use in the bar (15% off) and vouchers for breakfast which made it very good value for money. Breakfast should have been £17 per person for a full English, but with the vouchers it cost £10 per person and it was buffet style so you choose anything ranging from cereals, full English, fruit, toast, continental etc. etc.
The only real downside to this hotel was the trains, so if you are considering staying here, make sure you are on the right side of the hotel!
Location - nicely situated very close to Kensington High street tube. We had a good view of the City from the 9th floor Room. Food was good and we would certainly return in the future. Just a tip - coming out of the hotel, turn left, walk 2 blocks to Allen street, turn right and 50 yards up the road on the left is a wonderful pub, The Britannia, Food was great, not expensive and Mike Ireland, our attendant went out of his way to ensure that we were satisfied with the experience. A gem close by the hotel - 5 minutes walk.
Summary
Very different from my first stay, room smelled very fusty (damp), and the TV didn't work. When the TV was changed the replacement stopped working after 10 minutes viewing. Not impressed.
Summary
Friendly and helpful staff, fast roomservice, good food
Summary
Hotel is very tired, used to be a regular, but not stayed for a number of years - not sure how the rooms keep their 4* status - it was very shabby. The room service food was very poor, however the staff throughout are as courteous as before.
Hotel was chosen based on past experience.
Fairly impressed welcome by the door chap who helped me find reception, asked if needed help with luggage. Friendly on check in, there is only one thing most have mentioned that i also noticed, the internet is a pound for each ten minutes and there are 2 slots. I lost few quid putting money in wrong slot at the computer
Summary
I managed to get my room for under 100 pounds and would most definitely recommend this hotel, even at the full price. The staff were helpful and very attentive. The room was spotless and even though we had a room on the underground side I heard nothing.
So close to kensington high street and underground! I will definitely be returning .
Showing it's age but clean tidy and nice
Summary
Excellent hotel. we were allowed in the room early which was so convenient as we were going to a matinee. Staff very helpful. Very good location couldnt fault it in anyway.
