Clean, warm and excellent value for money

Paid a discounted rate and was worth every penny good location right next to tube station and comfy all we needed! Perhaps too expensive if not discounted as original price was around 400 quid but 88 pp was great value.

Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington

Convenient location, friendly staff, clean, comfortable & functional rooms all combined to make this an ideal location for a weekend break in London. The bed was especially comfortable - had the best night's sleep in ages!

Coming home to Copthorne Tara

Coming home to Copthorne Tara in Kensington
Both my wife and I are retired top executives. We have felt at home at many of the superstar hotels all around the world and we had platinum cards on several airlines. We are nicely spoiled.

Times change when you retire and maybe the economic downturn makes you think too, but you are still the same. You like staying in familiar, friendly, comfortable hotels. But on a lower budget please.
We go to London frequently and since some months we stay regularly at the Copthorne Tara hotel in Kensington. Nice hotel with hundreds of rooms so it is unlikely to be fully booked when you need a room.
All the facilities you need. Garage for our car at a good price, taxi rank outside, doorman, gym, theater ticket office and a news shop and there are several nice restaurants and room service. But the best is the wonderful location in Kensington with all attractions and shopping you need within walking distance.
We have come home to Copthorne Tara.

Yours sincerely,

Lars Carlsson
managing director

A LIITLE TOO COSY

The room was a good size for a central London hotel. Good bed, nice bathroom, etc. Two snags were a climate control system that could only keep the room hot and stuffy (no opening windows), and the lack of any bedside or reading lights.

We supposedly had a superior room. There was a small double bed .Paint was peeling from furniture and bathroom ceiling was in poor condition.Otherwise ok.

Excellent situation, good service

The check in and check out procedures were quick and efficient. The room was a little tired but clean and comfortable and everything worked. We chose the hotel because of its location and proximity to places we wanted to visit. The accommodation was excellent value and we will most definitely stay there again. Our only (very small) concern was that the room was very warm and the climate control didn't appear to make any difference. Apart from that the room was quiet and also well lit.

Our Stay at the Copthorne Tara Kensington

We had a pleasant stay for 3 Nights with the knowledge that our car would be safe under the hotel. The room was clean,up to the standard expected of a 4 Star Hotel.
We expected the Tea & Coffee facilities to be topped up every day but had to request items at the reception Desk on Two of the days.
We like the Situation of the Copthorne Tara as it is conveniently close to High St. Kensington Tube Station.

Alovely experience of living in Chelsea and Kensington

The hotel was in an ideal position just off Kensington high street and very close to Regents park reception staff were helpful and prompt in dealing with some minor housekeeping issues. The room was spacious with excellent TV reception, the only downside was a musty smell on entering the bedroom but no sign of dampness and the room was clean and tidy. Because of the location and staff I would return to this hotel.
