Do I have to pay a booking fee?
We offer a completely free service to our customers, the price you see on our website is the price you will pay including taxes.
When do I pay?
Hotels-London never take any payment, you pay the hotel direct either on arrival or departure. Sometimes a hotel will offer an extra special price if you pay when you make the booking, these are usually non refundable if you have to cancel your booking. Some hotels may also take a deposit to secure your booking, please check the room information and cancellation policy on the hotel page for more information.
What does ‘On Request’ mean?
If a room is listed as ‘On Request’, the hotel has not told us how many rooms they have left on that day. All this means is that we need to check with the hotel to see if they have that room available for you, we always aim to do this within a few hours of making the booking, or instantly if you call our reservations team.
Will I pay more if I book over the phone?
Unlike many sites, we don’t have different rates for booking online or over the phone. The price you see on the site will be the same if you call us to make your booking.
Is it safe to book online with Hotels-London?
It is very safe. We employ the latest Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure your details are 100% secure. Only the hotel will receive your credit card details to secure your booking.
Why do I have to give you my credit card details?
All the hotels on the site will need a credit card to secure your booking, Hotels-London will never take payment from your card.. Most will not charge you until you arrive at the hotel but the details are kept just in case you don’t show up or if cancel your booking without enough notice. In this situation the hotel would normally charge the card. To avoid this always make sure to cancel your booking in enough time (as stated in your confirmation). Some hotels offer special rates that cannot be cancelled. These are always highlighted in the room information and on your booking confirmation. Payment for these rooms will usually be taken by the hotel at the time of booking.
What do I do if I need to cancel my booking?
Every now and again something might crop up that means you will have to cancel your hotel. Every hotel has their own cancellation policy that will tell you how much notice you need to give. If you give enough notice you will not be charged, however if you cancel too late your credit card might get charged. Some rooms (check your room information for more information) are advanced purchase and you won’t get a refund if you have to cancel.
I no longer want to receive emails from Hotels-London, how can I unsubscribe?
At the bottom of every promotional email we send out is a link that will unsubscribe you from our database. We hate spam as much as you do so we make it as easy as possible in case you don’t want to receive our latest offers by email. How do I leave a review?
After your stay at the hotel we will send you a link so that you can leave a review about the hotel. If you haven’t stayed at the hotel you will not be able to leave a review, this way we can make sure that all our reviews come from real customers.
Can I change the details on my booking?
If you need to amend your booking all you need to do is call our reservations team on (UK) 0844 484 8000 (International) +44 161 831 3811, or log into your account and let us know what you need to change. If you book an advance purchase rate these are usually non-cancellable and you won’t be able to make amendments. To be on the safe side, always make sure you check the cancellation policy before you book.
Can I pay for a hotel room before I get to the hotel?
Yes you can. Usually the hotel will need you to sign a pre-payment form before you arrive. Just contact our reservations agents if you need this and we will help arrange this for you.
