lt br gt Initial thoughts were the room...
Initial thoughts were the room was a little shabby - the bathroom had a pool of orange rusty water which had leaked from the shower fitting, one of the extra pillows had black streaks on it and there were also water marks on the ceiling. Also we noticed a lot of traffic noise on the main road outside at all times of the day. Another thing that concerned us was the walk back from the tube at night under a railway tunnel and past a park as it is not situated in the best area of London. We had to request to move rooms at 1:45 am when the heating came on and woke us up, as it was incredibly noisy. We were told to wait 15 minutes 'to see if it stopped' before being moved to another room, which was much better and less noisy. We will not be staying here again although it was convenient for getting to and from Brixton Academy. We have stayed in much nicer hotels for a similar price. My recommendation would be if you are on a budget and do wish to stay here ask for a room on the left hand side which is off the main road and do not expect luxury or even a great deal of comfort.

Stayed for two nights and got a reduced rate which was v good for central London. A few minutes walk to Vauxhall Tube and railway with excellent service into Waterloo. Simple, classic lodge type accommodation, comfortable, clean, room size good although I believe it might have been larger than average from the Fire-escape route plan. Great range of Spanish and Portuguese restaurants within minutes' walk, tried two, both excellent and good value family-run establishments. Limited car-parking spaces but never full on the two nights I stayed.

I was given a disabaled room on arrival and the room was satifactory for the price we paid.On going to bed at about 11.30 we were kept awake all night by a dripping noise. On inspection there was a brown patch on the ceiling that had obviously been there for some time and there was a constant drip all night long which bounced off the unit onto the bed. I had to put a towel on the unit to soak up the water but the noise kept us awake all night. I complained to reception and they gave me a £5 free breakfast but that ahrdly compensates not having a wink of sleep.

First room - very noisy rattling radiator - they could not fix - so 'upgraded' me. Upgrade in this case to an upstairs room. Sadly I did not find out until the morning the TV did not work, then once soaped up, also the shower hardly worked. To be fair they came up to look at the situation in the morning, TV was defunct and the shower pipe was damaged and twisted. Sad thing was they obviously knew what the shower problem was and had chosen to ignore it, the TV - I cannot say but would not be surprised if that was the same. The staff are sweet - but totally un-empowered which means complaints or comments go no further - a sad fact of this chain!

Ah! y no desayunaria.

Myself and 2 friends needed a reasonably priced hotel for a one night stay. We were visiting my daughter for a Christmas shopping trip. This hotel was within walking distance of Vauxhall tube station and ideally located for us. It was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. The accommodation was basic but comfortable and very quiet. 3 of us shared one room, and, had plenty of room. No essential amenities lacking. Breakfast was basic but plentiful. We would happily look forward to staying here again. Staff very helpful.

I ended up staying 2 nights, the second night booked directly through the hotel. The first night was great; couldn't fault it. Clean comfortable room, great value for money and helpful staff. The second night however I had to pay double what I paid for the previous night, my room was clean enough however the bathroom stank of sewage which really out me off. Also there was no parking available that night and I was woken up many times throughout the night by other guests.

Don't bother staying here in a road-facing room if you are bothered by traffic noise. The traffic is non stop outside the front, but I'm sure the rear rooms are very peaceful. Overall this is nice hotel and the room was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable although we were a bit short of bedcovers and it was a cold night. The hotel interior was very quiet and we were able to park in the rear car park so this was a useful business stopover for us.

firstly, this hotel was listed as a four star hotel on late rooms. In fact, I doubt it could muster more than 2 stars in any realistic rating. The hotel looked like a tenement block, the lobby was dreary and cheap looking and the bed was uncomfortable. The room was noisy with bad traffic noise and the walls paper thin. The shower had no tray so the water went all over the bathroom and there was no bath. The hotel advertised as having WIFI but neglected to mention that this was externally provided at an exhorbitant rate. It is also not very convenient for travel. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else

Following on from previous comments I read before I booked this hotel - it’s not going to win prizes for style etc; however I can say that its very clean and tidy and for London, I expect great value for money (I'm from up North so still have a double take when anything is £50+ per night). There was a tv, coffee and tea making facilities and plenty of towels etc. The staff were helpful and welcoming (they moved my 18 year lad and his mate into a twin room without any fuss). We stayed in some kind of joining annex on to the hotel and had the world’s smallest shower room (with toilet and sink); but again it was clean and functional. I was also on the ground floor and right next to the road but wasn't woken up in the night/early morning by the noise and only after about 8am did the hotel start to get a bit loud with people going for breakfast etc. It’s just 5-10 mins walk to the nearest tube and about 34-45 mins walk to Trafalgar Square. The only slight issues I had were the fire alarm went off a number of times during the night (was there for 3 nights and must have been woken up about twice a night with it going off for about 15 seconds each time) and also the fan in the bathroom doesn’t turn off and while it wasn’t loud enough to keep you awake you were aware of it when going to sleep. However, I would certainly use this hotel again and would recommend my friends when visiting to stay and would be interested to see if I stayed in the main part of the hotel the difference in rooms etc.

I booked a single ensuite - and was given what must have been a family room with 1 double, 1 single and 2 bunk beds! It was a goodsized room but rather crowded with so many beds - I don't know how 5 people wou,ld have managed to move about in it. The bathroom pod was ok - a bit bigger than some - but only had the sort of basin you get in train and plane loos. I wouldn't have liked to try to wash a small child in it! The room was on the ground floor at the rear of the building (which for some reason is where the main entrance is) and would have been quiet except for some machinery which hummed loudly all the time - a bit like trying to sleep next to the engine room of a boat - quite soothing once you got used to it. Come on, Comfort Inn - stop trying to overcrowd - take out the single and this wouldn't be a bad family room for the price.

This is a basic hotel with a small double bed. The shower / bathroom is similar to a boats, which is fine but should be refected in the price. £75, to be based outside central london on a very busy road is not good value. The room smelt, probably due to the wet carpet outside the bath area, and to cap it all the maid started hoovering outside the room at 8am. Classic example of the guests being an inconvenience. Book somewhere else.

At a Late rooms price thishotel is OK. Perfectly clean and wee run but no homeliness to the rooms and no frills. Modern clean and the bathroom as mini wet room I liked. Decent hairdyer - important for femail business traveller. However, it feels too far out to be really convenient for central london. Not too bad if you are needing to be in chelsea, pimlico etc. It is a good ten minutes walk down a sparcely populated mainroad from the tube - quite a hike in poor weather or when carrying a case. There are not many facilities in the surrounding area - one pub opposite and a Italian sandwich shop about 5 mins walk away. Nothing late night and not an area I'd want to walk around when getting off a late train from the west end. No problem is you are happy to use taxis Communal ironing station in a corridor was a bit odd but it served its purpose. Would probably stay more centally next time.

First of all we booked one room for three people and we were put in a cramped room with torn carpets, curtains hanging off the rail and FIVE BEDS! There was not enough room for the three of us let alone if there was five of us. The bathroom was no bigger than the one in my caravan and looked liked a caravan bathroom; all plastic and no bigger than a resturant toilet cubicle. The room was far too warm and the air conditioning was set at 18'C so we could not adjust it, either it was too warm or too cold. We were put on ground floor so we could not open the window and our room was beside a generator that hummed loudly throughout the night. Basically you get what you pay for, cheap rooms with cheap facilities nothing compared to the Hilton were we spend the rest of the time of the trip. Additionally we asked the man at reception to order a taxi, he forgot and we spent 35 minutes waiting in the hotel lobby for one to arrive. Also one of us nearly had a hospital trip when the light fell off the ceiling in the room, missing her head by inches. Disaster!

The room was generally clean although there was a stain on the carpet. The hotel itself is pretty quiet given it's location near a fairly main road and train line (five minutes walk to Vauxhall). The staff were helpful enough although it did take a while to be locate any staff at reception when I arrived. It looks and feels like a budget hotel but generally, I would say that the hotel is good value for money for it's location if you are not expecting luxury and are just looking for somewhere central for a couple of nights.I booked a deal that did not include breakfast-I opted to have this elsewhere so didn't sample the food.
