The room was just what we were after, somewhere fairly central to crash, no frills but very clean and friendly.

we had a room facing the main road which was very noisy until late and then from very early. The noise was uncomfortable.
The room was lovely, the kids loved it although the bunk beds had an incredibly loud squeak when the children moved in their sleep and the ladder was only held on by one screw and not two.
Overall our stay was very pleasant despite these points...if these were rectified our stay would have been rather perfect.
The staff allowed us to store our suitcase after we checked out, for the full departure day, which was very kind indeed.

On arriving, My family and I were greeted with you should have checked in yesterday you have been charged a non arrival fee. This was obviously a mistake on my behalf however, I feel the customer service was shocking to say the least the fact I had arrived the following day would suggest it was a booking error rather than my family and I just not turning up. The issue was not the fee but the manner in which it was issued. We recieved an upgrade for our trouble, a room I stayed in the previous week, and paid a similar amount of money for. The bed clothes were soiled with a red substance, there was an unrecognisable yellow mark on the ceiling and who knows what the stain on the head board was but it was not there the previous week. On booking, the description included a flat screen tv, I haven't seen a tv like this since the 1980's, my daughters bed was held in place with folded newspaper. This is not a child friendly hotel. I was horrified to find an ironing board on the wall of the corridor, outside the lift, with a an iron that had been recently used at child height, left unguarded for any one to burn themselves on. Customer service is appauling the staff are very defensive even before knowing what your enquiry is. Definately will not be returning!

I was wary of Tripadvisor comments that were rating the cleanliness and size of the rooms as below average. However I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms as spacious as any I have previously stayed in and scrupulously clean and decor very clean and fresh. The road the hotel is on is very busy and traffic noise is terrible but would be fine if the windows were shut. We kept ours open because the room had no aircon (just a ceiling fan which worked very slowly). For our overnight stay and the type of visit we were making the hotel was great. We also had the added bonus of parking withing the hotel. The hotel is near a parade of shops with a couple of nice pubs were we were able to get meals.

The staff were helpful upon arrival, however the single room was tiny and only had enough room to be able to put your bags down and a bed. The room was very warm and therefore checked out only hours later. Be prepared if are booking the cheapest room as it is very small!

The room my husband & I shared was ok, though we requested a smoking room through laterooms, they had to change when we checked in. Our friends room was on the ground floor at the front & painted in a dark depressing colour & with the heat their experience was not as good as ours.
Our room was on the 2nd floor & at the back so not noisy like the front of the building. Thought it was a bit pricey for the amenities - no restaurant or formal bar.
but just for 1 night it was ideal, nice & clean, reception staff very helpful.

Booked a family room and it was (for London) spacious. Also the room was clean and comfortable. Would definately recommend for families, I was working though and not that suitable for business as no Wifi. Breakfast cheap with kids free, but was basic. Quite a walk from the underground with little ones, but all in all good value for the money.

The only benefit woould be the provision to eat within the hotel in the evening. I don't feel safe walking around in the evening, finding somewhere to eat, so I tend to bring a picnic with me, which isn't really a pleasure.

This is a decent budget hotel, and I got a good price on it booking last minute through LateRooms.com. It was walkable from the Vauxhall tube station, about 15 minutes away - thankfully I only had a small rolling suitcase. The room was clean and comfortable enough, but it was overlooking the street which was VERY noisy with traffic and because of how loud it was I slept very poorly. It did the trick at the last minute, but I wouldn't seek it out to stay in again.

We only stayed one night and literally needed a bed for the night and breakfast. The room was fine, clean and spacious, however the breakfast was a big disappointment. It ranged from cereal, croissants or baked beans on toast if you were lucky enough to get some beans! Real let down especially for the price of the room!!!!

The room was a Quad En-suite. However, was not 2 singles + Sofa/Double as advised but 2 singles + bunks. It was OK though. Not very clean - sweet wrappers under bunks. Sink waste was slow (probably blocked) and slightly smelley. Breakfast was a bit of a rushed affair as lots of people arrived at the same time and therefore became a bit of a bun fight and there was not enough space to be comfortable.
Room was basic but I did book purely on price so was not expecting higher quality.
Overall, basic accommodation with no frills. Pretty much what I expected so not really complaining. Would use again.

the staff in this hotel are the worst i have ever encountered, if you need them to book you a taxi, make sure you tell them to phone a black cab..we were going to a lavish black tie event in central london, we were really dressed up, and when asked to call us a cab, some guy in a broken up golf gti pulled up, and didnt know where the albert embankment was...while he was consulting a tourist guide map, i went in and spoke to the staff who told me that black cabs in london were "unreliable".
The breakfast was terrible and well there wasnt much variety...
also not the safest feeling hotel, the safe didnt work...so make sure you dont take any possessions. we booked it because of the name, and because it was only the night i think we would probably stay again. but i would be very aware. i suppose there are worse places in London, but the staff booked that stupid taxi probably because they have made some kind of agreement with them...it was pretty shady

More like a block of flats than a hotel. Renovations going on, so maybe not the best time to visit, but no warning of this and no discount offered. Room tolerable, but staircases and lobby in very poor repair. Awful coffee bar for a very average breakfast. Avoid.

Room had very large windows looking out onto the side street so not partiularly private - would have preferred a room upstairs. Bathroom floor not particularly clean on arrival and shower I think, was designed for disabled use. Bathroom floor flooded each time we had a shower which I dont think is the general idea even with a wet-room design! Breakfast was chaotic one morning with food running out, no cups, no coffee etc. Children allowed to run riot helping themselves to food they subsequently didnt eat ,probably contributing to the lack of choice later on for guests. Even saw one family making up sanswiches for later using the bread and ham/cheese provided for other guests!

Clean, spacious room. Safe does not seem to work (didn't in previous stay either). Rather noisy since room was facing main road. Good pub over the road serving decent food and beer (Courage Best, Landlord and London Pride). Easy walk from Vauxall tube. They don't seem to pay that much attention to requests for non-smoking or rooms at the back (away from noisy road) but at least this time I got non-smoking (last time I didn't and it stank as did all my clothes). Interesting fan in the main light, I thought it was just cosmetic until I found the remote control! Breakfast selection is good for continental style. WiFi does not seem to reach rooms so had to use lobby which is OK but not ideal.

Modern room in bright orange (!!) Good desk and light for working. Not a good location to wak to though, entrance round the back via a side street. No food in hotel but it was attached to a Primo Coffee or similar which offered 'breakfast' in the form of coffee and pastries. This cafe was not open during most of my time there, ie, not early or late. Howevere the hotel had a cosmopolitan feel, full of tourists from many countries. But I'd go for the St Giles near Tottenham Court Road for that, it's much nicer!! However this Comfort Inn is convenient for south-of-the-river meetings.

Very disappointed. Reported centre room light not working and possibly the bulb had gone and needed replacing. Member of reception looked at it and said they would send someone up to replace it. We waited and no-one appeared and because we had to leave for an appointment we had to try and get ready in a very dim light. I have a feeling that this was probably the standard answer and if I went back next week it would still be the same. Pity would possibly have stayed there again but not now.
