Good value for money

£99 for bed and breafast in London I consider to be excellent value - room was a good size, bathroom and shower perfectly adequate. Staff were tremendously accomodating although having used the left luggae facility I was concerned about the lack of security in this area. Breakfast left a bit to be desired.

First occupiers of room after very nice refurbishment. Downside was the very small breakfast room. Continental breakfast ordinary for cost. Very handy for St Pancras and King's Cross stations and the area has improved over the past few years. Watch our for mobile phone and bag snatchers on bikes in this area.

Great Value

I stayed here overnight prior to catching the Eurostar. Really good value via laterooms.com. Superb Indian restaurant around the corner, opposite Kings Cross Station and some good pubs in the vicinity. The hotel itself had friendly staff and was clean and comfortable.

Basic accomodation with friendly staff.

Was fine for a quick overnight stay, the room was very clean but facilities pretty basic, but to be fare it would probably be unreasonable to expect more for £60.

Great place but shower wasnt very good!

The room was more than adequate but it was very very cold and the water pressure/temp was not very good... We were only spending on night on route to eurostar so it wasn't a big deal to us..

Somewhat shabby but OK

Stay was made pleasant by friendly and helpful staff, but room was a bit run down (shabby carpet, cheap and nasty window etc). TV a complicated arrangement, but helped out by staff to get it working. A bit disappointing, but could have been worse! I appreciated the use of the luggage storage option for the day, after checkout - looking at St Pancras nearby, they were charging £8 per item for day storage.

It could have been worse....

Pros: Cheap, good sized room, very near the station, clean, staff were efficient & seemed cheerful/welcoming. Once the shower warmed up it kept a constant temperature with good water pressure.
Cons: Had the room nearest reception on the ground floor which was really noisy with people checking in/out banging doors and wheeling cases to/from reception, also got noise from people walking around upstairs and noise from people shouting in the street very late at night. The pillows were flat and lumpy & we could have done with a few more of them. The shower took ages to warm up. The TV only got reception on 2 channels.
As we only stayed a couple of nights it didn't seem worth complaining, but apart from the noise (which was mostly to do with the location of the room) the other issues could have been easliy put right. Overall it wasn't a bad place for a cheap stop-over for a couple of nights, but definitely not one for a longer stay or a romantic break.

Very poor

Our room was situated on the lower ground level(basement). We heard everyone coming and going most of the night. At 6am onwards, staff were up and down the stairs, talking loudly, with no respect for our privacy. When we went across the corridor for breakfast, there was nowhere to sit, so we decided to leave breakfast. Very disappointing indeed. Shame because we came to London to celebrate New Year, and had poor accommodation.

My daughter and I came to London for a Wedding at Camden Town Hall and this was an ideal place. About a 10 minute walk from Euston and down the road from Kings Cross Tube Station. The room was absolutely lovely, brand new and very modern. I think I read that there were refurbishments going on and whether all the rooms are done I don't know but this didn't look like the pictures I've seen on the internet. We were only there one night but would have liked to have stayed longer. Breakfast was ideal, there were hot drinks, juice, cereals. fruit, yoghurt, rolls, ham, cheese and toast was available on request. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Handy location and quiet

We needed a hotel near to St Pancras and I had heard scare stories about others being very noisy. I was pleased to find this hotel was not. The room I had wasn't massive, but had everything I needed. However the decoration in the room was a little tired with a complete mish-mash of patterns on the carpets, curtains and bedspread. Nothing too major that cannot be lived with. Breakfast was continental and was adequate and as much as you could eat. I will definitely stay again if I can get the discount I got through LateRooms.com

Central, clean but pretty noisy.

The name of the review says it all really. The hotel was nice enough, although 4 stars is a stretch... The bigger issue was due to the twin room being at the front of the hotel at low level, making it quite noisy. Even with ear plugs we were woken several times both nights we stayed.

The front desk staff were excellent --- very friendlly, welcoming and helpful.
The breakfast was good with a greater variety of food than I expected

I arrived late from Newcastle, within walking distance from Kings Cross Station, staff friendly and welcoming. Room small but clean, close to lift so a little noisy. The room had airconditioning which was great. A nice new clean bathroom and towels. The hotel suited my purpose. I thought good value for London.

Great location, nice hotel

Very close to King's Cross Station, good value in terms of location/comfort. Unavoidable noise due to location but found it much quieter on the side away from St Chad's St. Room 201 was much quieter than room 205 for example, where my colleague (sort of) slept. Breakfast satisfactory, nothing special, but ok. Coffee was very potent - roof of my mouth still recovering.

Excellent accommodation.

We stayed at this hotel for one night . It was easy to find and well located. Kings Cross Station being just 2 mins walk was also ideal. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. I didn't taste the food personally as was suffering from an atrocious hangover, but I'm told it was nice! Parking was a little tricky, we had to park at an NCP at Bruswick Square, but that was only a 10 minute walk and only £18 for 24 hours (cheap for London). I would definitely stay here again.

Great Place to stay close to Kings Cross for a reasonable price

I have to admit we chose the comfort Inn for location and price which were excellent! So I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room, and cleanliness. Free breakfast was a bonus as well and offered plenty to fill us up satisfactorily. We did struggle a bit with the TV set operation otherwise the room was more than adequate including Air Conditioning!!!!

The room was not as i would have expected as the beds were very uncomfortable, the carpets on the stairs were very worn and the stair was very narrow. The shower was disgusting, the television did not work and the breakfast was down in the basement. As my wife is asthmatic this room was a no go area. At the end of the day the room was only worth about £30.00 not £130.00. Would i recommend it to anyone the answer would have to be no!!!!!!!Stay well clear.

Ideal for short stay

This hotel is in a good location near to King's Cross Station, we expected noisy, but it was quite quiet. We stayed for 3 nights and we liked the hot showers, friendliness of the staff and the beds, which were clean and comfortable. We missed the opportunity to have a cooked breakfast, but the continental breakfast was adequate and the nice dining room staff were happy to cook individual slices of toast, which arrived piping hot. The bedroom was a bit hot when we arrived, but we opened the window and we did try their conditioning, which worked but was a bit noisy and we had to stand on a chair to turn it on! We didn't use the safe, television or tea and coffee facilities, but the hairdryer worked well. Overall we were very happy with our stay in Room 206 and didn't think it was too expensive for such a convenient location.

Went with my teenage daughter to a concert, receptionist advised us on the tube to get or would even phone a taxi if required. Decor slightly dated, but generally clean. Not one of the cheapest hotels, but being nr Kings Cross fairly average price. Bed comfy. Breakfast adequate - altho do prefer the good old english brekkie to set u up for a day of shopping! Fairly easy to find, altho instructions on internet could have been better!

4* I dont think so

It was dreadful.... whoever gave this hotel 4* needs shooting... £130 per night is a complete liberty shocking.. the corridors are so small you struggle with a case, the rooms are so small there is no where to put a case....the room was clean in all fairness but did not make you feel welcome.. the pillows are terrible.. I put three of them on the bed with a towel wrapped round them !!! I even slept on top of the bed.. on a towel, as you could feel the springs... I was in Room 123 which overlooked the air conditioning units.. my collegue was in room 101 in the dungeons and right next door to the restaurant I use the term lossley.. he was kept awake from 0400 with the noise
All in all a shocking experience

Disapointing

I booked into this hotel expecting a 4 star and got at best a two star. I had to stay at the hotel because I had injured my knee in London and was unable to get home that evening. I stay at hotels regually and not in the habit of writing negative reviews.
Firstly the lifts were out of order, there were significant holes and wear in the stair carpets, the window frame and sill were cracked and broken meaning a cold draft and loud external noise came through the window, there is no evening bar or restaurant and breakfast was a basic continental breakfast.I hope my experiance may get better in the morning however the shower stuck on scorching hot water meaning i had to wash my hair in the sink then the hairdryer cut out every minute or so due to overheating.I told reception which to be fair she make a note of.
So overall a very disapointing experiance which I had to take photogrpahs of because i couldnt beleive what i was experiancing.
