Mistake in communication?

Our son living in the area told us we could have a special reduction when visiting relatives nearby the hotel. In a mail-communication with the hotel we were told that this rebate only was offered when we booked directly with them. They offered us, however, to include a continentel breakfast as a gesture. When we arrived nobody at the reception could find the person who had given us the offer! As we had deleted the mails (there were severals between us) we couldn´t substanciate our claim.

Little Vence Hotel

Good standard hotel with charming character. Room was as described- comfortable and more individual than the usual chain hotel. Bathromm was in need of updating and some repairs but clean and adequate. Wouldn't recommend the breakfast which was extremely expensive. Excellent breakfast available from barge cafe alongside the canal.

Very comfortable hotel, within walking distance of Lords Cricket Ground where we saw a one day international. Bed at hotel so comfortable we overslept and nearly missed our train home (we were jet-lagged), only home from USA for 3 days.

Nice and friendly hotel

Clean hotel, great handy location close to Warwick Avenue tube station and five minutes walk from Paddington. Room was a bit dark but clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel cat was beautiful!

Lovely little boutique hotel near Paddington... not too close though

During a business trip I stayed for one night at the Colonnade, having booked it through laterooms.com. On the whole I very much enjoyed the stay - the only downside being that my room was in the basement and an extra tiny one I think (booked a single). The room was though beautiful, very clean and tidy and nicely decorated, the service was impeccable and the stay overall enjoyable. Would definately stay there again (although would then go for a double room up on one of the other floors).

Victorian Charm

Charming, bright and luxurious Old World boutique hotel. Enjoyed the fine linens, quality towels, the four poster bed and the 1930's vintage elevator. Historically interesting being the birth place of Alan Turning, a temporary residence of Sigmund Freud in 1938 and host to JFK during his London visit in 1962. Nice neighbourhood although dominantly residential and a bit limited in terms of a selection of restaurants within walking distance (I ordered in from deliverance.co.uk - always good). Friendly and helpful staff. My only issue really was the bathroom sink which was very, very slow to drain.

Colonnade Hotel Little Venice

A little gem of a find so close to central London and in beautiful Little Venice. Decor a little tired in places. Much nicer to stay here than in some impersonal hotel.

We were on second floor and loft was old and noisy - also felt unsafe. Staff excellent but expensive overall.

Nice place

Very nice hotel. Old style but with some nice touches. I liked the chairs at the reception. It is the first time I have ever been seated when checking in/out. I had a room on the fourth floor and on entering the stereo in the room was playing BBC Classical at a low unobtrusive volume - very nice touch. My bed was turned down with the chocolates on the pillows - again a nice touch. The room was comfortable although the air conditioning units are noisy if you use them. I did not eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food but there are plenty of restaurants in the area in any case.
