Blackheath Hotel

A nice old hotel that looks a little dated and is. Food was average but stay was fine. I would stay here again but there are better hotels locally.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay

Great location, friendly staff and a good pint of locally brewed beer. I have stayed here before with family and did not hesitate to book for a business trip, even better that I got upgraded to a Crown Double room with a view of the Heath.

Great Hotel

I booked this hotel because it was not far from the O2. Hotel was clean, warm, comfortable and the breakfasts were good in quality and quantity. Nice bar area with a pool table and drinks were not too expensive considering I was in London. Only slight grumble was that the bathroom was a bit small, otherwise a great place to stay.

Nice Breakfast

Well located hotel for O2 arena and Blackheath Village. Rooms were more than adequate. Self service breakfast was well worth the supplement and the staff were very attentive.

Our room was spacious and clean but the decor a little tired and dated.
The staff very friendly with the reception staff particularly helpful. They were prepared to go the extra mile and offer advice re transport, local attractions etc.
There was a very long queue for breakfast on Sunday morning but once we got a table, the breakfast was very good. The catering staff were rushed off their feet but remained very polite and efficient.
We stayed here so that we could be convenient for the 02 arena and it worked very well as there is a 24 hour bus service from across the road. This was particularly helpful on the return journey as the majority of spectators were heading for the underground and we got straight on to a bus!

Weekend with my tennis friends

This is the second year we have stayed at the Clarendon for our trip to the masters tennis at the O2 arena. Once again the staff were really pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfasts were really good and although we did not have dinner there, we did enjoy sitting in the bar and watching the tennis on TV in the evening.
The hotel is excellent value for money, clean, very efficiently run and the bus for the O2 stops just outside. Already we are thinking of booking again for next year.

Great for O2

Excellent hotel for visitors for the 02 as on a direct bus route, taking about 30 minutes. A very good English breakfast included in the room rate of £75 for a single. Very clean bathroom with good towels, hairdryer, soap etc. I double booked, having forgotten the 1st reservation, and the staff on reception extremely helpful in sorting this out.

Excellent stay

I actually had to speak to the manager before I left as this was by far the best stay I've had down in London this year and I work away every week. I arrived 10 minutes before dinner was to finish serving the first night and there were no moans or groans about me asking so late and the meal was exceptional. Then to really test the patience of any chef I unfortunately arrived 10 moniutes after the kitchen closed the second night and it was no problem to make me a full meal, the steak was delicious and cooked to perfection, the bar staff were excellent and the waiting staff at breakfast were singing!! Then the lady on reception started humming while waiting for my receipt to print, everyone looked like they enjoyed wokring there! I would recommend to everyone and will definitely try to stay there again.
