Fantastic location. Rooms are fine.
Difficult to turn down noisy airco
Twin beds when I had requested a double
Very long wait to check in. Only two people working on the reception - not acceptable
Expensive - trading already for the Olympics?

Great hotel, very well located and would definitely stay again.
Summary
Very good quality hotel with caring staff. Perfectly situated and central for seeing the best of London day or night. The room was compact with all that was needed, could have been a little larger for total comfort. Please please change the mattress! Why do most hotels believe that their customers prefer not to know the difference of sleeping on a bed or the floor!!
Summary
Situation perfect for our stay, very welcoming member of staff as we arrived, with a good sense of humour. Room excellent, bed comfortable, altogether enjoyable, only critisism- breakfast was continental only and therefore an expensive fruit and yogurt!
Summary
Requested a disabled facilities room as on crutches having broken my leg. Had to chase to confirm but staff very helpful. Room itself very clean, spacious 'apartment' style. Had hoped for a wet room style shower as steps are difficult but found instead a bath with shower over that had additional bars to hold onto. Not ideal but I managed. Great location and will stay again once I'm more mobile.
Summary
Hotel was clean smart and well appointed. Staff very helpful and place spotlessly clean. Some refurb going on but no noise after tea time and not early in am. Free coffee from nice machine in lobby.
Location was fantastic, walking distance of so much of what London has to offer. Worth choosing a location like this to save time travelling between the sights.
First class accomodation and location.
Summary
Stayed in a refurbished room. very nice. fridge however was very noisy disturbing sleep. Designer chair faulty as would tip over when leaning forward.

Excellent

I have stayed at the Citidines for 3 years on New Year's Eve. It is brilliant for the quality especially after the refit. It is great for the fireworks as the hotel is approx 3mins away from the embankment . Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Summary
For central London, the value and location was excellent. It was just like a hotel with a reception and offer of breakfast. The room was fully equipped and suitable for two people.
Summary
The main front entrance was closed off due to refurbishments (which I was not notified of which was a surprise). The temporary entrance was the side door, leading to reception. It was very clear major refurbishments were taking place due to hardboard being almost in every part of the room. Despite this, we were quickly checked in and were on our way. Corridors leading to the lifts were hardboard either side again which was a shame as it was very unattractive.
Nevertheless, we arrived on the 5th floor. As we got to our room, we were very impressed with how we only had to hold our card near the handle to get in.
Inside the room was great. As it was a refurbished room, it was up to date and looked amazing. We were supplied with a double bed as requested. The television was only small but was nothing to worry about. Kitchen was quite small but neat and tidy. The room overall was open planned so was very spacey. Bathroom was great, even though it was compact it had all of the necessities and again looked absolutely great.
I was very pleased with the room as a whole and would definitely love to stay again!!

Summary
Hotel reception was being refurbished but nothing could be done about that. They did well under the circumstances. Rooms were really clean and well presented. Beds very comfortable. Really good position just off the strand
Summary
The room we had need refurbishment badly and the room we had, although non-smoking, had the smell of smoke in it. In fact my clothes the next day smelt of smoke too. However, the location is brilliant, the room was clean as was the bathroom and kitchen. For the price we paid it was good value.
Summary
We checked in about 12 30 as room was ready but as attending matinee & evening shows we did not go back to room until after 11pm. Sofa bed was easy to pull out and comfortable. Did not get much chance to use other facilities apart from wine in fridge but felt would have been fine if we had been stoppong longer. Near to theatre we were attending and supermarket closeby. Although our room overlooked Northumberland Ave was quiet. Only complaint is windows were very high up so had to stand on chair to see what weather was like.
Summary
Very noisy, phones didn't work, internet didn't work, never received creamer for the coffee/tea. Too much construction and work going on to sleep well.
Summary
Spent two evenings at the aparthotel on a London theatre visit. Position of the hotel is ideal for Londons theatres, galleries and major sites. Good restaurants and cafe's close by. Apartment was a studio and well kitted out with everything you needed including a dishwasher. Comfortable double bed and furnishings. Would recommend this hotel and I will be staying in future.
Summary
The hotel is in a fantastic location.
We had requested a double room, but when we checked in we were told there were none and we would have to have a twin. He said that although we had requested a double, it didn't mean we would get one! They did very quickly push the 2 beds together and remake as a double after we complained, but had they just done that before we checked in we wouldn't have had such a bad check in experience. He did also make a comment about having 'seen our voucher' which made it feel like we shouldn't get such good treatment because we hadn't paid full price.
The room itself was fine, but no better really than a Premier Inn, although it did have a small kitchen with microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc which was handy.
A lot of money for what it is, but no more expensive than any of the other hotels in the area.
Great value, needs a bit of updating to make the room as good as the promotional pictures
Summary
An excellent stay.
my only issue came when the desk staff attempted to charge me an additional 20% vat on top of the vat inclusive price i had already been quoted. In addition, my invoice wasn't on headed paper giving me some issues to get a vat number for my expenses claim.
but the accommodation is very good.
This hotel was a brilliant location as it was 1 minute walk from 2 underground stations and a 5 minute walk from waterloo across the bridge) The quality of the room was excellent! And the staff were very friendly. We chose the hotel because of how close it was to covent garden but it was close to london eye and big ben too! Couldn't have been in a better place! Our room had been new refurbished and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever stayed in! Definitely got value for money in a superb location!
Summary
Room rather dirty and extremely noisy. Poor quality sofa bed - the only one available. No mention had been made of this. Kitchen area dirty. Bath of sub standard quality with very rough repair having been madfe to the enamel.
Reception staff unwelcoming and monosyllabic
Unfortunately the hotel had booked us a double room when we had requested a twin, but with no full they upgraded us and we had a double bed and a pull-out bed - both were clean and very comfortable
The room was then excellent value but we have no doublt that a twin room would also have been clean and comfortable
Nice enough, basic rooms. Well situated
Summary
Having grown up on a Northern Council estate this felt very much like a case of deja-vu. It was as if a Northern council flat had somehow been transported to a very central Trafalgar Square location. It was all very Dr Who...I felt like a Time Lord, but the snag was I paid very 21st century prices.
Summary
The best thing about this aparthotel is the location, great for the Londone Eye, Aquarium, National Gallery etc.
The rooms were small, but self contained ie they all have a hob, fridge, dishwasher, sink concealed behind a cupboard. The bed is a sofa bed, and was a litle uncomfortable, but fine for one night. The room was clean, but I would descibe it as quite worn, ie the carpet looked a bit stained and worn.
There is no bar or restaurant here, but you can get breakfast. Good pub next door though (The Sherlock Holmes).
However, I can see the appeal of this type of accomodation for families with children, when eating out all the time can be expensive, or difficult with a baby. The hotel would also be a great base for exploring central London, and there was a bike hire stand right outside.
There is no parking - we were lucky enough to find a space outside, paid up till 6.30pm on saturday and then free for sunday, so if driving you may have to budget for car parking in a private car park, and congestion charge in the week.
All in all, I would say fine for a one night budget break, but wouldn't have wanted to be there for a longer stay!
Decor was a little tired, was suprised to find a bed sette although this did give the room more space. Toaster was not working rang rception and wthin minutes someone came and collected the faulty toaster and returned with one that worked - very pleased with such a pronpt response. Good to find teatowels, washing u liquid and bathroom toiletries - very hepful
situation of hotel ecellent for my purpose - so close to Charing Cross.
Recognising that there is a planned refurbishment later in the year / next year, things may be addressed. However at the moment, it felt very unloved and dated. I was "upgraded" from a studio with a sofa bed. The room was functional with very worn / dated decor. The kitchen was tiny and in similar state. The bathroom was following a similar theme with a lot of grime visible on the pipes. Overall, I felt like my feet were dirty as soon as I stepped out of the shower / bath.
The positive side - it is in a great location if you're a tourist. I wasn't.
I arrived late having booked a double room. On arrival they told me I had an upgraded room, which I welcomed. The king sized bed was comfortable the linen was clean, the room was large, situated internally which was quiet and I had a good nights sleep. Having paid £146 I did expect a better quality in furniture and fittings, the only thing that was a pleasant surprise was the complimentary use of bath robe and slippers. The bathroom was large and clearly a disabled room. Most definitely a refurbishment programme is needed, the decor is poor and the carpet was patched.
Summary
Room looking very tired now, hotel needs refurbishment to justify the price. The shower was terrible.
Summary
The hotel is very central. The rooms and public areas were very shabby and downbeat. However the staff were all friendly and helpful and the sofabed surprisingly comfortable.
Summary
This aparthotel is all about location. For the price you couldn't ask for a more central positioning. It is a pity that the attention to decor, cleanliness and facilities in the lobby of this building do not extend to the rooms. Having said that, the room was spacious and the sofa bed reasoably comfortable. The small kitchenette was well equiped for a short stay and the bathroom adequate. The decor and fittings were generally tired and a little grubby, but given the price and location, was bareable for a short stay. Because of its location, there was quite a bit of noise from the street throughout the night and the room would have benifited from better sound proofing.
Summary
This hotel is in a great location. I was pleased to have teh kitchenette which saved us money on going out for dinner and breakfast. Generally pleased. Only complaint is that it's a sofa bed not a proper bed. It was fairly comfy, but wouldn't want to spend more than a night on it.
Summary
For the price which was £116 i would expect better but then you are next to Trafalgar Square so it is very well located but the room itself was tired and if you are a couple and one wants to watch TV on the sofa and the other wants to go to bed you are stumped as the sofa IS the bed. The kitchen was only big enough for one person to be in it. For me i would pay less, stay slightly further out and go with Marlin Empire Square which is superb !
Summary
Great location! Nice, safe place to stay.
A few things really annoyed me:
1. They don't change your sheets or towels or clean your room unless you pay them 6 pounds per day
2. They are very short staffed for the large amount of people they have and the staff doesn't seem to have a lot of knowledge of the city or tourist attractions
3. Only one working elevator that holds 5 people when there are at least 100 people in the hotel
I was still satisfied with the visit because it was a nice place and they had free internet and great bathrooms.
Benefits from excellent central location. Quality quite basic and obviously has not been renovated for a while. However, everything worked well, all the important things were clean and there was also free, fast broadband. I would use again if the price was right.
Summary
We had a really great stay. The location is fantastic and such great value. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Use of the free luggage room was very useful. Couldn't fault anything. Will definitely stay here again!
Summary
Kitchen area smelled strongly of spicy food.
Don't get reception to book a taxi for you - 5min journey wanted £18.00 JOKE
Location is perfect.
The hotel was very reasonablly priced for what we wanted it for.
However when we stayed it was in the middle of all the snow and very cold outside so a warm room would have been nice but unfortunatley the room was very cold and as my 13 month old son was with us he didn't settle well or have a good nights sleep.
We used the car park but on leaving the hotel we were told the car lift wasn't working so an engineer had been called which could take up to 4 hours. The reception staff didn't seem to know what was happening, however the maintenance man -Phil - was extremely helpful and made sure the engineer knew we had a small child with us so they arrived within 20 minutes.
