It was satisfactory for our purposes. Brilliant location near the Barbican. The decor and upholstery were all a bit tired. Bed was comfortable. It was very quiet and the kitchenette meant we could make as much tea as we wanted!

Shocking and out of pocket

The Shower hose was broken and not replaaced on reporting to reception.
As a Business Traveler I need VAT receipts to claim back my expenses. Hotel refused to give a receipt and claimed this was laterooms.com responsibility. Having spoke to laterooms.com they were going to arrange for the hotel to email a receipt, nothing so far and still currently unable to claim the cost back from my employer.

Ok - just!

Great location, easy to find. Room ok... though I slept the opposite way round from the way the couch was made up and it smelt of smelly feet all night! Some lights not working in room, though I didn't call reception to fix - too late, and I was too tired! Had a problem with connecting to wifi, staff got a little weary trying to sort it out and didn't believe me that my room network wasn't showing on my network selection! Other than that - did what it said on the tin... Agree with previous reviewer (thanks for recommendation) the Italian nearby is great - had a great meal there.

OK for a one night stay

Very basic but clean and tidy and the common areas, whilst very plain, are useful for short meetings and just fine for breakfast. I am not sure I am ever so used to pulling out a sofa bed in a room to create the only bed but this seems to be the best way of utilising a small room. Once out it was pretty comfortable.

Clean, inexpensive and handy

Nothing particularly wonderful BUT nothing bad about this accommodation. For the price, I've stayed in better accommodation, but bearing in mind this is London, still pretty good value for money...just not as spacious as some other London apartments I've stayed in.

Small but perfectly formed!

Booked a cheap overnight stay here as wanted to be close to St Pauls for a very early meeting (and avoid the rush hour tubes!). accommodation was surprisingly clean and well thought out, and although it is small it is everything you need for a base between meetings. I could quite happily stay for a few nights whilst in London for business, and it offers the home from home feel that hotels don't. It has everything you will need and there are lots of nearby shops for the things you forget too.

London Short Stay

Ideally located in the City I stayed in a studio which had everything needed from kitchen to comfy lounge. Much more spacious than standard central London accommodation.
Highly recommended for city breaks and/or the business traveller needing a city centre base. Parking and free Wi-Fi too - bonus!!

Friendly staff and clean rooms and spaces. Room was a bit small but had everything you needed.

A fun stay in a good location. The staff couldn't do enough to help and we had everything we needed for our whistle stop tour of London. A good choice especially if you want to spend less on food as you can prepare food in your little kitchen. Showers were good too.

Functional room and great connectivity

I was in London overnight for business.
It was a Studio Room with pull out bed. I actually liked it as with the bed away it felt very roomy.
Good kitchen facilities although I didn't need them.
Fantastic connectivity both wifi and hard wired - free too! Nice big useable desk for once as well.

Great little place. Very quiet, with great customer assistance. We used the Citadines as a one night stop over for dropping our child off to City University, as the student accommodation was nearby. Yes, there are cheaper options close by, but if you are transporting lots of stuff by foot for Uni life, we wanted the closest.
There is a nice pub over the road, though they don't serve any food other than pizza on the weekend. But check out the little Italian restaurant next door. Simply stunning.
Highly recommended.

Comnenient

Good location for any City visits being close to Barbican tube. Internet connection is via a rather old cabled system and was very slow in the evening. If you have an electric shaver, note my UK plug wouldn't fit the German-made socket so couldn't be used. Room was well sound-proofed from road noise.

Not bad for London

London is the city where you don't get value for your money when booking a hotel. This apart hotel, is just that, a small flat with a convertible (this is what I got). Clean and nice bathroom, a small kitchen with a fridge, oven, stove and dishwasher. Very quiet area, there is absolutely NOTHING ni Barbican worth mentioning, and at the same time it is close to everything London has to offer, 10 mn from St Pancras, and a few stations away from any cool place. So perfect for a nice weekend.

Home from home

Not a lot of space but everything you could need was to hand. You have to pull out the bed as it is a sofa during the day. Nice touches like dishwaher tablets and kitchen towels all provided. The best thing was the friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Location of the apartotel was much better than I had thought - 2 minutes fron the tube and a short walk from St Paul's.

Something a little different.

Room was smaller than expected from Marketing Material, Starting to feel a little dated but adequate for a one night stay. Room would be small for extended stay with repeated pull out and put-away of fold-up bed ( which wasnt apparent on pre-advertisements).

Pretty good city hotel

If you are not too bothered about where you're staying and just need a place for the night, this hotel is pretty handy. The room is useful as it has a mini kitchen.
But my bed was so hard that I think there are bruises on my hips, plus it was very cold during the night and I threw some towels over my bed to try and keep a bit warmer.

Convenient location, quality accommodation, good experience

Can't really say anything more - if you're looking for a comfortable place to sleep in London, and don't want to take your chances with the 'dodgier' end of the hotel spectrum, then Citadines is a pretty good bet. Convenient for the tube, and in a reasonably quiet location, the offering is simple: studio accommodation, where you can do your own cooking (Waitrose and Tesco stores are no more than five minutes away) or eat out (there's a great choice of decent restaurants within easy walking distance) and enjoy a comfortable night away from home. Not being a hotel, and with a quality fold-out (but highly comfortable, even for a 6.5footer like me!) ready-bedded sofa bed, you don't get that feeling of spending the evening in a bedroom. Niggling points? The otherwise well-equipped kitchen (microwave/grill, hob, fridge, dishwasher) had no cooking pots or pans and the water pressure in the shower was adequate but not brilliant. Oddest point? The sign by the window that told me to keep the window closed 'at night and while you're in the room'. So it's OK to leave it open when the room's unoccupied...
