Chiswick Charmer

For three fifty year old blokes a little bit of luxury was needed and Chiswick Moran delivered. Contemporary quality from lobby to loo and lashings of hot water for all. Quiet, a good view across leafy Chiswick, all located just off M4 before you get snarled up in central London. The tube is less than 5 minutes away and a charming Irish lass on reception called Emma directed us to the fabulous Luna Cafe where you can have a quality recovery breakfast for £4.50. My only critcism is that the hotel charged £15 for a substandard brekkie. Make sure you pay for your parking on reception when you check out. For non residents the meter outside charges double, £25.00 per night.

Good value at £110 a night

We picked here as we were attending a party and it was the closest decent hotel. Huge, comfortable beds and friendly, helpful staff. We didn't eat here so can't comment on that.
My only complaint was that the windows didn't open and we never quite figured out the air conditioning, meaning the air was very dry in the room in the morning. Not sure whether I can blame this for the sore throat I got in the day I left or not. But I would stay there again at those rates.

Review of Chiswick Moran Hotel

Easy to find Hotel which was very nice apart from all the Arsenel Fans in the bar area lol, The staff were very helpful when you approached them, although i got there to early to check in and got told to wait in the bar area where a member of staff would let me know when my room was free, well an hour later when i went to check if it was free, it had been free for 45 mins so i wasnt overly impressed. The room itself was very nice and well looked after and i would recomend staying here

Clean, Stylish and Charming

Essentially this is a hotel just off the M4 on an industrail estate near the Chiswick Tower so initially I was sceptical. How wrong I was! It's very quiet and very close (10 minutes walk) to the bars and restaurants of Chiswick High Street and tube station directly opposite. The staff are helpful and polite and the room was large, newly decorated with a lovely bathroom. The overall standard of this hotel is very high and it's very clean. I didn't go to the bar but it looked lively and the drinks menu was comprehensive.

Also when we went out into London we came back andvwere going to sit down and have a chat and a drink but when we got back the only place toi drink was dim andvdark and very loud music, so me and my wife went upstairs and ordered some drinks and food from the limited menu, but when sausages came they were cold and made a mistake and brought red wine instead of White and when we said we did not wantbthe food the waiter offered me chips but never returned.
Very disappointing

Perfect for business

Situated 2 minutes from the M4 and a 5 minute walk from Gunnersbury tube/train station, this hotel is the perfect location for short trips into London.
Good clean rooms, comfortable beds and a number of breakfast options.
Let down by:
1. No Wi-Fi in the rooms, only cable connection and there was a charge for this, there was 'free' wi-fi in the hotel lobby for your first 2 hours, big let down since this is billed as a business hotel.
2. TV very limited, none of the movie channels worked
Other than those two niggles, a highly recommended hotel.
Top tip - from Gunnersbury station be sure to check out the overground links as well as the underground, there is a good connection to Stratford Int.

First off arrived and checked in given a room key all ok. Went to room which was not the standard of the room i booked. I booked 'executive double' and was given a standard double. Went back straight away and informed staff. It said 'standard double' on my booking ref so not sure if that was Laterooms fault or the hotels? ....... After a brief delay was given another room ...... this room had a large brown stain in the carpet but to be honest i couldnt let the room/complaning to staff thing ruin the evening the wife and i were looking forward to in london. Later on that evening i went back and for the reception paying for the various internet options £3 for half hour £5 for an hour then i decided to stump up the expensive £15 for 24 (although a bargain compared to the rates i previously mentioned)
At checkout they said i owed them £3 for internet choice of half hour i chose while inside the 24 hr period. I tried to explain to the receptionist but all she kept on saying was ''i have to ask the manager'' and went off looking then came back then went away - all the while im waiting at the lobby for the result. Not what i want to be doing after i spent over £20 on internet access and another £50 at the bar. Still dont know the outcome.
Stayed there once before it blew me away this time has made me decide not to use this hotel again.

An excellent hotel

The hotel was a genuine surprise, a last minute booking for a London trip but turned out to be a great choice. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the rooms are very nicely decorated in a sort of 60s retro style and the bathrooms are stunning. The location is convenient for the M4 and the Underground and it's a place I'll certainly go back to and recommend.

Odd but pleasant enough

You approach this concrete ediface and think oh god what have i done, but once you get past the forbidding eastern european reception staff the hotel is surprisingly airy and inviting, the sixties/seventies style theme to the bedrooms is perhaps not to everyones taste but my 14 year old daughter thought it was great and the rooms are comfortable, well appointed and of a decent size. To say you are right on a major thoroughfare the traffic noise is not intrusive.
I didn't eat at the hotel it was both very busy in the bar area and very expensive in the restaurant area, but you are never far from a decent restaurant wherever you are in west london

Great room, very literally just like the picture shown in the precis. Good facilities. Nice, very helpful staff. Only down side was breakfast a little pricey (but there are some nice cafe's only a few hundred metrers up the road). And the shower was a little ashmatic - not really anyone's fault just an observation.

Nice hotel, rip off parking

Not one complaint about the hotel at all, the room was perfect and the staff more than helpful. My only moan is the fee I had to pay for the parking which when I think about makes no sense at all, for starters, if I had simply parked at the hotel had 1 drink in the hotel bar then I could of parked for free gone for a few more drinks down the road in chiswick then collect my car on the way back and off I go, no parking fee, however being a guest at the hotel and spending most of the night drinking in the hotel bar I collect a parking charge of I think it was £10/12 please tell me I have got this wrong? Total madness

Another great stay at the Moran

This is our second stay at the Moran and it delivered yet again. If you are looking for a good base to stay in London with somewhere thats got cheap on site parking (@ £10 for 24hrs) then this is the place.
You may wish to know that the district line into the centre of London is literally 50metres away from the hotel (over the road) and it takes around 25mins to get into Covent Garden.
The room was great and clean, also quite large for London with a large walk in shower and seperate bath if you need a soak. The bar is sleek and funky (although I have to say the cleaniless of the tables around the bar could have been improved due to crumbs - something has slipped in this area since our last stay).
It turned out that Notts Forest were staying at the hotel the very same night as they were playing QPR on the Sunday - so if its good enough for them then it'll be good enough for most!
Breakfast was £10 per head and although buffet style, they do a great full english as well as contintental options etc for the healthy concious.
We would certainly stay here again and my Parents were impressed with their room too.
If i had any criticsm i think they could improve the night time room service menu (something I commented on last time).
