The Moran is a lovely hotel. It is modern, clean and the service is excellent. I have stayed there several times and each visit has been a pleasure. The rooms are compact but set out well with all you would expect. The restaurant and bar offer good food for either main meals or snacks and never too busy that you feel rushed. There is a gym for those that feel the need. The hotel is situated close to the west end with good transport links close by, but is situated on chiswick high road with bars and restaurants a short walk away.

We had a really nice to 2 night stay at the chiswick Moran, very easy if you traveling by car which we did. 10 per night, secure car park makes a change from alot of London hotels. Good restaurants around and the nearest tube is about 400 yds. Nice bar and quite lively at the weekends. We had a big problem with hot water during our stay which was happening throughout the hotel. The manager did contact me after we had left to offer us a free nights stay when we were next back in London and I will probably give them another chance to get it right as everything else was perfect.

Lovely and clean hotel in a great location. However we had no hot water and we were not informed by a member of staff about the boiler-problem, we had to experience this (after a long and tiring day) while showering. we had no hot water for 3 days!!! The hotel offered us a voucher to shower at the sport centre, but unfortunately this was a 10 minute walk (not very appropriate and private). We had to ask the (very unhelpful staff) for any compensation, they then offered us breakfast. The staff should be trained to handle situations like this and make the visitor feel special and validate their needs.<br />

Hotel, very pleasant and extremly friendly, the only surprise was car park charging it was not mentioned anywhere (or I missed it), but the cost was 50% less than they state on the notices in the car park. Very handy for Kew Gardens. <br />The price for the room was more than fair considering the closeness to London (20 minutes by tube). Tube located but 200 meters from the Hotel, so all things considering I would say it was VFM including the car park charge.

Hotel was good & staff were very polite & helpful. Room was nice but a little dusty in places, otherwise was clean & comfortable & nice decor. My friend parked in the hotel car park and had his car broken into. We discovered later that a number of cars had been broken into over the last few weeks, however the hotel staff failed to warn us which i didn't appreciate.

We stayed in an executive suite and found the use of room and space well designed. It felt more like a studio apartment rather that the usual bed / bath hotel room. Hotel furnishings were of a very good quality and quirky in design. Note: there is a small car park that you have to pay for, we think it should be included in the hotel price as the location of the hotel room on Chiswick High Road is very accessible to those visiting the hotel from outside London.

This was nice, trendy hotel with a happening bar/lounge and a nice restaraunt. The room was nice, but not worth the normal 200+ a night cost. I was lucky to get a rate for about 90 and it was appropriate for the accomodation. <br />One exception is the shower, which only had one temperature, which was scalding hot. Upon check-out, i mentioned it to the front staff and while i received an apology, it did not seem to bother the staff. <br />Stay here if you get a rate under 100, but you can find something much nicer for the same price in central.

I stayed at the Chiswick Moran Hotel for one night as I had a business appointment early the next day in SW London. It was a great rate through LareRooms, and the accommodation was lovely - huge room, modern decor, 6ft bed etc. However, the sparking trendy bathroom may have looked wonderful, but anyone staying there should be warned about the shower, as you risk a serious burn if you're not careful. (Actually I don't know how you can avoid being burnt by the scalding hot water, as it is impossible to reach into the extra long cubicle to test the water, or to adjust the temperature setting without putting your hands directly under the gushing hot water). When checked out and told the receptionist about my experience, showing her my red, sore hands, the young woman simply replied "sorry - we don't offer refunds on accommodation." Reluctantly she paged her manager over, who seemed a bit more sympathetic, and went off to get me an "incident report form". Still no suggestion of any sort of compensation, which is really surprising especially as the 'incident' completely ruined the point of staying in London to be able to get to a meeting the next day refreshed, and ready for work. All that hassle actually made me late for my appointment, and feeling sore and still in shock for most of the morning... Need I say more, I don't think I'll be going back there again!

Excellent hotel, well worth the money. The rooms are lovely and of adequate size. The reception staff were excellent and overall staying at the hotel was a pleasure. We stayed there to watch the rugby and the hotel arranged a cab to take us to Twickenham which cost 20 and took about 20 mins, much better than fighting the crowds at the station. Chiswick town centre is only a mile away and has lots of nice bars and resturants. Gunnersbury tube is more or less opposite the hotel. We stayed at the weekend so we were able to park in nearby roads rather than paying the 10 to park at the hotel. Overall I would defintley stay here again.

Excellent hotel, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast based on poor quality ingredients and the tables aren't cleaned during the breakfast period, so we ended up sitting at a table that was still dirty. We asked twice for it to be cleaned - once to a waitress and then to a manager. But in the end we had to do it ourselves. Took the Gfaway for the weekend. Wasn't disappointed. The decor of the rooms are fantastic. They have a 60's retro style running through them with subtle colour co-ordination. Gf was impressed. Beuatiful clean rooms with style to provide a very different atmosphere to your usual hotels. Walk in shower and big bath tub. Huge mirrors and intelligent lighting. I actually took photos of the room to get some design ideas. IF you are on the first floor be warned you can hear the noise coming from theGlobe bar downstairs. Didn't really bother us though.Lots of nice little restaurants nearby too. To park your car in the hotel carpark overnight is 10 which I thought was a little cheeky- I parked on the road next to the hotel (free on weekends). Overall a very neat hotel for the price.

The hotel was lovely, the room was clean and a good size, but breakfast the next morning was an absolute farce. We waited 15mins for a table, then another 40mins before any hot food was brought out (just scrambled eggs and oily hash browns). The deli choice was shocking - a couple of pieces of dry cheese & a piece of salami. To add to this, the staff were buzzing around so quickly & avoiding eye contact, we had to literally run after them to ask for some coffee....Very very disappointing indeed. I travel a lot for work & look after international artistes, staying in some lovely hotels & this is not what one expects from this kind of a hotel. This particular trip was for pleasure, which makes it even more galling. Spoke to duty mgr and simply received an apology and a guarantee that next time we came he would 'personally' make sure this didn't happen to us again (?!). Some money off the bill might have encouraged us back.....

The food is not the best point of this hotel. The service at breakfast is slow, slovenly, and sloppy. I had to ask 3 times for coffee. The eggs can be ordered, as poached, but be prepared for a wait.......! I also ate in the bar & waited an hour for a sandwich, when it eventually arrived it was not the bread I had ordered, and when this was pointed out, the staff really didn't want to know. Until that is it was time to pay!!, I then again pointed out the poor service and incorrect order, I was quizzed at length and told it was good quality bread, by staff who speak poor English!!!, The fact is it was not what I had ordered, there is a choice of bread for a sandwich, or so it states on the menu. I did eventually have this fee waived, with much chunter from the staff!!!........The staff are unable to give accurate information on distances to local amenities, I asked for a local map, this was not available and was told it would take 20 mins., to walk to Kew station, it takes in fact 10 mins., at best. All in all the rooms are good, but the service including reception staff leaves much to be desired, they are unhelpful, stern and abrupt. There are better hotels, & plenty to choose from...............

Very impressed with the smartly furnished room and comfortable bed. Air conditioning was very welcome and quiet. Breakfast was enjoyable although we felt a little rushed, our cooked breakfast was brought to us before we had finished our fruit and cereal. We found the tea and coffee making facilities a little unimaginative and unfortunately adorned with a layer of dust. Room was spacious and clean. The shower was excellent, but the shower head was an odd design that successfully flooded the bathroom whenever it was used. <br />Staff were mostly polite and helpful. Food was excellent.<br />The bar was modern and popular, but will be much more appealing following the upcoming smoking ban.

The hotel itself is very nice and it's clean. The rooms are somewhat small, the client service however leaves a lot to be desired. The front of house staff were not half bad, except, don't chew gum whilst speaking to your guests, room service was a complete disaster. Whilst I understand that English is not everyones first language, this is hardly an excuse for the poor service . The way the room was cleaned wasn't up to standard and on the Sunday, forget it, the room was breezaed over and not cleaned properly., our crockery from the Saturday wasn't cleaned. We stayed for four days and by day four, I could write our names in the dust on the dresser as well as television unit. The hotel hosted a function of some sorts while we were there and the hotel guests had to have dinner and breakfast in the pub, what a disaster. Also, you need to communicate to your hotel guests beforehand that the restaurant will be closed for business for a few nights and not let them find out on their way to Dinner or breakfast. It is very clear that your hotel or your staff cannot handle both a function in your venue and the needs of the hotel guests. You never make hotel guests to feel as though they're too much to handle simply because you have to house a function, you clearly cannot handle both. I won't go back there or recommend the hotel to any of my friends. For a four star hotel, it was sad.

The service at reception was extremely good. In particular, Alberto, who assisted us greatly. The room was very modern, clean and well equipped. The only problem was that the televison reception was not very good. Breakfast was ok, but the service at breakfast was far from good. I had to ask for toast four times until I finally got some. The hotel seems great, but does appear to be let down by the service in the restaurant, although, I did not have the pleasure of lunch or dinner, so I can not comment on whether this is the case all the time.<br />Overall, I would recommend for anyone to stay. Our friends who reside in Chiswick and often have visitors will also be recommending it to friends and family.

This hotel is fantastic - the staff are so friendly ( a complete new for London!) the breakfast was the best. We had a fab stay. We had an executive room and it had cool decoration and shower was great!<br />We would recommend this hotel for a weekend break - it is so accessable to the Motorways but also walking distance to lots of shops around Chiswich and a really pleasant walk to the tube. We recommend visiting the Irish Pub - Connell's which is only about 3 mins down the road.

A very pleasant hotel. Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooom was very modern and decorated to a very high standard. The bathroom had a walk in shower and a seperate bath. The water was very hot all of the time. Rooms facilities included internet access, iron and tea/coffee making facilities. TVs had sky channels . For breakfast you had a good selection of foods and staff were very attentive. Breakfasts at the weekends are served until 11 am. The hotel is only a short walk from the tube station (3 mins at most) and you can see hotel from the station. When we arrived the bar was full and quite noisy, Our rom was on the second floor and couldn't hear anything from the bar. Next time we visit london we are going to stay here again. No more shopping around for a good hotel because we think this one will be very hard to beat!!

Excellent value hotel. Staff friendly. Room clean and well decorated - only fault was no tea making facilities. Bar was lively - bar food a little pricey but quality good. Hotel is well located a couple of hundred yards from an Underground station. Breakfast was complimentary and of a very high standard.

We were very impressed by the hotel and its facilities, including the gym which is well-appointed for its size.<br />There was the odd problem with Sunday breakfast - I got my neighbour's order and he mine - he wanted the black and white pudding, I didn't. A neighbour on the other table wanted scrambled eggs and got fried, and they had to ask for the tea a second time. However it was good that the Irish breakfast was freshly prepared and not slices of bacon and fried eggs floating around in large trays of oil. For 79 it was very good value.

We took advantage of the competitive weekend rates for this stylish hotel and we were not disappointed. The room, for a standard, was first class in its presentation. With numerous bars & restaurants in near by Chiswick we did not make use of hotel dining, with exception of breakfast which, I might add, was excellent. A first class hotel, easy to find & outside of 'congestion ' zone, witin 1/2 mile of Underground station & access to the City.

Superb hotel with superb service. Stayed for 2 nights with 2 two teens (separate room) and found hotel, facilities and location ideal. Both rooms were absolutely faultless and very spacious. Hotel cocktail bar was a bonus, being quite lively with great atmosphere thoroughly enjoyable. Access by car was very easy, literally 2 mins from junction 2 M4 with ample parking. Nearest tube couple of minutes walk with regular services. Everything about hotel was excellent but would recommend continental rather than cooked breakfast. Have stayed in central London for same price it just doesnt compare. Will stay again and would recommend.

The hotel is superb, rooms are very high standard, the breakfast was inclusive of the room rate and was ok, wouldn't go any further than saying that, my only gripe was the room service, arrived back in the hotel late, ordered a cheese sanwich. When it arrived the bread was stale, which was a disappointment, on saying that, I would go back without hesitation, booking through Laterooms gave a good discount on the rate.

Conveniently situated on Chiswick High St. Room was well decorated, very modern, with large comfortable bed. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. The music in the bar was far too loud for comfort, and I prefer not to have piped music with my breakfast. We would have liked to be able to obtain teletext on the T.V.

For some reason the restaurant was closed on a Saturday night which didn't matter to us as we were off out. There is a tube station just down the road which was handy.<br />The rooms have just been re-done in a very modem and cool contemporary finish, we stayed in room 716 (Junior Suite) which was really nice apart from the air con panel being broke and the room felt cold. Also you could smell cigerette smoke from other rooms in the en-suite area. <br />One negative - I requested a could of things from reception and they didn't bother coming up to fix our room phone and to replace the iron. <br />I would stay at this hotel again though.

I was disappointed that I was only able to connect to the internet using the broadband connection on the first night of my stay and then only after making a call to the help desk. On the second night despite several calls to the help desk and a visit to the hotel reception staff I was unable to get the problem resolved. I had taken work back with me which I needed to complete and was frustrated that I was unable to. At my request, the cost of the telephone calls were deducted from the bill and I was given a 5 refund against the 15 I had paid for 24 hours internet use as I was unable to use the last 2 hours.

Really pleasant hotel with a lovely room. The restaurant food was far better than expected and it was a shame that it was so empty as it deserved better. The bar gor busy and was quite loud (Sound deadening?) Liked the decor and design. Tiny gripe about lack of feather pillows and lack of radio apart from 2 channels on the TV.

The hotel is new and the rooms have been furnished to a high specification. The only downside is the parking, we were charged 20 for less than 24 hours parking which is only 5 less than what we pay in Central London. We were not told about this during booking or checking in.<br />We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, there was a good choice though the service was poorly organised.
