stay Charlotte Street is London's urban hideaway situated in the media neighbourhood of North Soho and surrounded by some of London's most vibrant bars, restaurants and cafes. Here modern design and 21st-century technology blend effortlessly with the feel and style of the early 20th-century 'Bloomsbury' set to create an oasis of English-Bohemian warmth and discretion. What was a former pharmacy has been reinvented as a London house of the period with interiors that Virginia Woolf would have inspired. Spaces are light and airy and the bedrooms and bathrooms luxurious in every detail. relax eat/drink leisure meet weekend review Friday night, St Patrick's Day 2006 and London was electric! Great opportunity to soak up the sights and sounds by staying in SOHO, and SO I did. However this Hip luxury retreat allowed you to walk off the chic bustling street and into a calm oasis of soft furnishings and very cool staff. Dinner in Oscar was up to its reputable standard and the Penthouse Suite simply divine. On entering the suite my attention was divided between the sumptuous fruit platter awaiting devouring and the sleek mini bar stuffed with pure quality. Once my hysteria subsided I was able to take in this stunning suite and relax and enjoy the view across the rooftops. This contemprary luxury space, with a hint of French influence, is one which must be experienced. If not the Penthouse then one of the Superior, Luxury or Deluxe rooms will give you a similar treat in smaller package. |
