My daughter and I booked a twin room, when given the key we found other peoples' luggage already in the room. Went back down to find we were not the only ones who had been double booked. We were offered an upgrade to executive double, or another hotel, as we were now starting to run late, took the double. Thankfully couldn't get a table for dinner as the breakfast was awfull, it was first cold, toast, coffee, baked beans, eggs, everything. The boiled egg had a runny white and a hard yolk first for me; we didn't eat it and thankfully had not paid for it, as it was complimentary for all the other problems. Room had all the gagets and the shower was to die for, though needed cleaning first, made a hot drink, then found lispstick on the cup. My daughter watches The Hotel Inspector so stripped the bed and found dried blood on the duvet cover, thankfull we always carry our own kingsize sheet. Didn't dare leave the phone on to charge while we went to breakfast as we felt anyone could enter the room by mistake, maybe that was why the was a safe. We booked through late bookings and had a 73% discount, but still paid £198.12, and felt ripped off; at full price I would have raised the roof. My daughter feels it should be brought to the notice of the hotel inspector, The Premier Inn could teach them alot about cleaning, security and how to cook a decent breakfast. I felt sorry for recpetion staff who were doing their best, but everything seemed out of their control, they said it was their busiest time for checkin, yet only two people were on, there were plenty in the morning, but their understanding of English made things difficult, (English is my second language). All in all very suprised at their rating and will look else were next time.
