...at the LateRooms rate - the rack rate is an awful lot higher. Pleasant enough as a city hotel, no problem.
Summary
A great find, just round the corner from the Tower of London, right in the City, and yet extremely reasonably priced when we went. Nice spacious room with a very comfy bed and a reasonable bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, much better than in many a pricier establishment, and the staff were really nice and friendly and helpful.
Summary
We stayed at The Chamberlain Hotel for a one-night stay Saturday / Sunday. Despite being on a main road the hotel is very quiet, and the nearby Minories multi-storey car park charges only £10 for a stay from 10.30 Saturday to end Sunday.
When we arrived at the hotel the reception staff were extremely pleasant and gave us an unexpected free upgrade to a lovely roof-terrace room with a balcony with a view of the 'Gherkin'. The room was spacious, well-furnished and very comfortable. The staff even waived the charge for a coffee in reception while we waited for our room to become available. Breakfast (included in the price) was in a very pleasant dining room and was a substantial cooked breakfast.
A wholly enjoyable exeprience.
Excellent hotel with great value for money when booked via Late Rooms. Staff very helpful.

Staff were extremely helpful as I had to amend the booking several times and nothing was a problem. Great location for the City too.
Summary
Excellent hotel, clean, good food, excellent service and very quiet in the room we were in. Location is good as long as the circule line isnot closed. Would definitely stay there again for leisure or business.
Summary
We initially had a bad impression of the room, as it was very cold when we arrived, and the thermostat was so low that it took several hours to warm up. Could we suggest that attention is paid to the weather re. the room's temperature, perhaps by the housekeeper? We then found that the bathroom towel rail was not working, and were told that all the rails in the hotel were out of action because of some work being carried out. A bad start! However, a heater was provided, plus extra towels, and from that point we had few complaints about the hotel, and would specifically mention the excellent customer service from all the staff who attended to us. One caveat - the breakfast service on the first morning had gone haywire, resulting in our waiting 40 minutes to be served with our breakfast. But it need not have happened if one person had stayed on the door to take guests' room numbers, and made sure that they were dealt with in order. Everyone was doing everything! Once again, on drawing the problem to the staff's attention it was swiftly put right, with a full apology, and a later invitation to have a complementary drink in the bar (we didn't accept, but appreciated the offer). These are small things, but vital for a good hotel to get right, and we feel that without what went wrong we should be saying that the hotel was of a very high standard indeed.
Summary
Was really impressed with the location of the hotel, only 10minutes walk from tower bridge. Also had a nice bar as part of the building. Room and hotel were nice and clean. Only small issue we had was with food - Bar charged us for 2x 2 people sharing platters and made it sound like our fault when we checked what we were charged for. (but did seem a busy friday night) And breakfast service was slow (again very busy) no butter until we asked 3 or 4 times also seemed to be a delay in getting coffee out . It has to be said that the food was very tasty and the pie platter at the bar was delicious. really enjoyed our stay as perfect location 5 minutes to the Tower hill Tube made it ideal for getting around the sights and sounds of London.
