Extremely friendly family business.

My family & I had planned a trip to celebrate my 40th birthday. My parents & myself had booked the garden apartment at Perham House, also owned by the family & my brother & partner had booked an apartment at Castletown House.
The owners contacted us when the apartment above us became available & wondered whether my brother & partner would be interested. Of course we were. This kind thought was greatly appreciated & kept us all together for the duration of our stay.
I would highly recommend booking here & will not hesitate to do so again in the future. Made my special birthday even more special.
Thank you.

Great value, very friendly and helpful management

The staff are very friendly and helpful; the overall quality of the room was more than adequate (all the facilities you could need, just a little rough around the edges here and there); it was clean and spacious with a double apartment having a "compact" bathroom with full bath, a good sized bedroom with king-size bed and a very comfortable kitchen / lounge with fridge, cooker and washing machine.
It isn't in the most salubrious part of London (though it certainly isn't a bad part either) and the decor is a little rough around the edges in places but being two tube stops from South Kensington for under £100 a night for all of the above is going to have some compromises!
If you are looking for a decent compronmise of comfort, location and budget, I highly recommend this place and we will be returning for our next trip to London.

Excellent for long business trips

Very impressed with this accommodation. I was only staying for 1 night, but this would be ideal for anyone spending a few days in London on business or leisure.
The facilities were great - basically it is a fully furnished flat, so has everything you cuold possibly need in there.
Only slight 'complaint' would be that if you are on the ground floor (which I was) it can be quite noisy. You can hear the phone ringing in the hallway and people knocking on the door. Unfortunately I was woken up in the early hours by another guest who had locked themselves out, and in hindsight getting up to let them in was probably not the safest thing to do!
Other than that it is an excellent place to stay, very close to the tube, Co-op round the corner, free DVDs and books, great staff - can't fault it!

Great apartment in West Kensington

We had a basement apartment in Perham street. The rooms were quit spacious. The beds were quit soft. Neighbours were noisy and footsteps good hearable. All the stuff we needed was in the apartment like tea, coffee, fresh fruit, nice towels. Good value for money, would do it again.

Long weekend in London

The room was exactly as described, was very clean and had everything you could hope for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Castletown to anyone. Excellent value for money and litterally a two minute walk from the tube.

Great for all ages!

Stayed here for an event at Olympia - ideal location, just a few minutes walk away. Also located close to many local shops which are open late so there was no difficulty in getting food (or wine).
The younger kids loved the Wii and teenager appreciated the iPod docking stations in bedroom and lounge. I appreciated the flexibility. We usually stay in hotels but I have to say this was actually more relaxing.

Great Location and value for money

This hotel offers small apartments which are great if you are planning to stay for a while as you have the option of self catering. The apartments was comfortable, clean and well set up.
I would definately stay again. The staff are informal and friendly and give the place a really good atmosphere.

Excellent

The facilities inside the room and space were excellent. It was close to a tube and a much better deal than most of the London hotels i've stayed in. I had to change my arrangements for arriving etc and the family running the apartments were extremely helpful

Highly Reccomended

After quite a bit of searching on the net, I came across Castletown House and was very glad I did. The reviews gave me confidence and sure enough it lived up to what I had expected. After booking we were promptly contacted by Mark thanking us for our reservation and asking us what time we intended to arrive etc. It was great to have a personal contact rather than some switchboard like some of the other apartment operators.
We were able to check in a little earlier as the room was being prepared which really helped us and Mark was on hand with our queries and questions for travelling around London and seeing the sights. The apartment was clean, had really good amenities with a proper kitchen (including oven) and even a washing machine, although we weren't there long enough to use it. A bonus was the computer which allowed us to check out a few things on the internet which was really helpful. The bed was comfortable and despite being a basement flat, the place quickly warmed up and was light and bright. The apartment is of a decent size too and didn't feel cramped which was one of my concerns. The bathroom could do with a little updating and the shower isn't all that powerful, but was hot and perfectly adequate. Mark mentioned they are in the process of upgrading, but its a minor point really.
The location is great with the tube within 5 minutes walk and a tesco and co-op around the corner.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again and can genuinely say they were honest, efficient and very helpful; in itself a rarity these days!

Fantastic apartments with all mod cons in the capital, at a great price too!

We booked this apartment as it was within easy access of Wimbledon (we had tickets for the Championships on the Thursday). We were not disapointed! We were met by the landlord's son late on Wednesday evening. Nothing was too much trouble & were made very welcome. Superb studio appartment ideal for a couple looking to take in the sights & sounds of the capital. With West Kensington tube station a stones throw away & shops for that late night indulgence on the door step, it ticked all the right boxes for us. If we are lucky enough to get tickets for Wimbledon next year, then Castletown Perham House will be first choice for accomodation!
