My stay was good overall; I stayed almost 2 weeks. I would give the hotel a general rank of 6. It was very convenient to Paddington and the Kensington/Hyde Parks.There were small problems but nothing major (eg, malfunctioning TV, no wakeup call when requested, sheets not changed regularly

Ignored by receptionist on arrival None of the...
Ignored by receptionist on arrival. None of the light switches worked in the room and the receptionist wouldn't believe me until he tried them for himself. Moved to another room that was down a filfthy corridor in the basement and was woken up by workmen in the morning. Would have helped if their advert had said they were in the middle of building works. Wouldn't stay there again.

Decir que la ubicacin no est mal, ya que el metro esta cerquita, lo malo de la habitacin es que me dieron una que daba a la parte de atras y eran minuscula y el bao tipo camarote, s que en London son pequeas las habitaciones pero las que dan a la fachada que son nuevas son mas amplias. El desayuno muy correcto si os gusta el ingles, y el personal muy atento y amable.

La zona y el edificio por fuera son excelentes. La calle con arboleda muy bonita. Por dentro se ve reformado, se nota en los baos, que son mnimos pero con servicios (WC, lavabo...) nuevos. Todo muy limpio. Pero nuestra habitacin desafortunadamente era en casi stano y daba a un patio realmente feo y con unos aparatos Toshiba realmente ruidosos. Al cerrar la ventana se amortiguaba bastante este molesto ruido. Comentamos en recepcin la posibilidad de otra habitacin mejor situada pero no fue posible. El empleado ciertamente parco y algo seco, a diferencia de otros de ellos ms agradables. Encontramos una araa en la pared, sorprendente porque la limpieza, insisto, es realmente buena. Lo comentamos a un caballero en recepcin que pareca manager del hotel, y nos coment que eso en normal en todos los hogares de Inglaterra, dijimos si era posible algn tipo de insecticida pero respondieron que est prohibido por la sanidad nacional ? ? ? ? No le dimos ms importancia, retiramos el cadver de la araa con un papelito y fin de la historia. Respecto al desayuno ingls es completo, pero si no deseas comer tanto lo nico que queda son tostadas y las tarrinitas de mantequilla y mermelada. Sera interesante para estas ocasiones que hubiera algn tipo de bollera, alguna magdalena o similares, y tal vez alguna lonchita de jamn york o queso.

Good location and good value hotel Staff very...
Good location and good value hotel. Staff very friendly. Only one niggly problem - the window was stuck (concierge did come right away to try to open it) and the room got stuffy. Hopefully, they'll mend it.

We received a very friendly welcome The ensuite...
We received a very friendly welcome. The ensuite room although small was spotless with a comfortable bed , tea & coffee , colour tv and even a balcony which very welcome on a hot summers night.<br />Breakfast was good and freshly prepared. <br />This was a very pleasant change from the larger souless and more expensive chain hotels .<br />We would definately use this hotel again.

Although this was a clean and friendly hotel, the bathroom was so small you couldnt turn around in it, it was more like a `podcast`............... also the breakfast was very poor....................

Well I did book it a little late...
Well I did book it a little late so p'haps that made the price a bit high . Generally a good bed and a good breakfast . Would stay here again if I could do better with the price . <br />Liked:<br />the staff were engaging and friendly <br />comfortable and quiet room <br />convenient location<br />Disliked :<br />coming out of the shower is a bit precarious as there is little space to manoeuvre . A bit of soapy water underfoot and it's a disaster waiting to happen . suggest some anti-slip matting on that part of the floor .

the room was pleasant and exactly what i wanted but it was stuffy and there was little air in the room which was not helped by the scaffolding outside the window. there was an air conditioning unit in the room which i could not use and there were no instructions either.<br /> At breakfast i had the scrambled egg which was very nice but the full english breakfast was not so nice. <br />The staff were extremely nice and helpful at all times.<br />I would stay there again but only if i could have assurance about room in the house and the view from the window including the ventilation allowing cool air to circulate. <br />

My father and myself stayed here and found...
My father and myself stayed here and found that the quality and size of the room was very disappointing - especially for 2 people. The room wasn't big enough to have 2 beds in it and should really be only a 1 person room. The bathroom was no bigger than a cupboard with no room to move around in at all and it's very cramped - especially the toilet area. Also, there was no phone in the room, so we would have had to travel 3 flights of stairs just to ask the reception a question just to climb the stairs again to the room.<br />My father noticed and pointed out as well that if there was a fire on the higher floors there is no easy means of escape, so would have to hope that the smoke detectors in the rooms worked. The air conditioning unit didn't work (or wasn't wired up) so the room in the warmer months will be very stuffy. The window opens up, but when it's hot in London opening a window when there's no breeze will not work. Also to charge for parking is a bit ridiculous as well, especially for what you get on the price of the rooms. Still, the parking was cheaper than another hotel I stayed at prior to this one.<br />The only plus point I would give really for this hotel is that the room was clean and tidy - especially the bathroom.<br />In all, it was a very disappointing stay and unfortunately I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Good location. Clean rooms but very small. Breakfast OK. Overall was pretty good but next time will pay more for bigger room. If you want clean budget accomodation and aren't bothered about frills then this is for you.

An excellant overnight stay with my daughter Accommodation...
An excellant overnight stay with my daughter. Accommodation was very clean and the staff very helpful and courteous, excellant breakfast putting us in good stead for a day's shopping<br />in Oxford Street. Very convenient for tube station and Paddington Main Station. Would recommend it to anyone wanting an eay convenient hotel.

The food in the restaurant next door was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and the evening meal was very reasonably priced at 11.95 for a 2 course meal. <br />The room itself was fine. Very clean, good TV/shower etc. The people above me were quite noisy and jumped around for a while but that isn't the hotels fault! <br />Overall a very good stay. I will be going back again for my next business trip.

Weekend in London, accomodation booked on the Internet from reading previous reviews. Not dissappointed. Great place to stay, near to Paddington station and tube. Good value, very friendly staff, clean Hotel. Room quite small, but adequate. Breakfast was very good, basic and a bit small, but well cooked and excellent friendly service. Will stay here again in the future and would recommend to others requiring a good value, clean, friendly place to stay in a good location.

Budget Hotel Not fancy but clean enough Room...
Budget Hotel. Not fancy but clean enough. Room was adequate with a good flatscreen tv with freeview. Bathroom basic but clean and functional. Breakfast won't be the best you've ever had but will fill you up for the rest of the today. Most tube lines within 5 min walk. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is in a great location for the tube and places to grab a bite to eat or a drink. The air con didnt work which wasnt an issue actually as it wasnt needed. The bathroom was very small but the shower was good so again not a problem.<br />The room was nicely decorated and clean and the staff were all incredibly helpful and polite.

Toilet flush was broken all time I was there. Noise of waters in toilet bassin for 5 days. Cleaning products left in bedroom for 2 days. A a told that he couldn't visit me after 10 because of curfue. Was told so in a very patronizing manner. Horrible place...

The hotel room was exceptional for its class...
The hotel room was exceptional for its class clean, comfortable and quite. The staff were very polite and helpful. The whole experience was greatly let down however by one of the worst breakfasts ever. Apart from their extremely measly portions (The full English Breakfast was delivered on a very small tea-plate where mostly plate could be seen), the sausage hardly contained any meat, the egg was tasteless, the coffee was stewed and they did not have any decent bread. The complimentary coffee in the rooms was very poor quality.<br />I feel that it was such a shame that these little things that would only cost a few pence per customer to correct let the whole hotel down. The hotel's location, room and staff were great and it had such great potential.

Single room at top of the hotel was tiny and the bathroom was miniscule. The TV didn't work and there were no complimentary tea/coffee facilities in the room. The 'full english breakfast' was horrible - served on a small plate, the only choice offered was between scrambled or fried eggs. When it came it was cold, there was one small piece of bacon and a tiny sausage. Although toast was offered, there was no choice of white or brown, and there was no butter knife laid at the table, or even one paper napkin. Having said all that, the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I chose this hotel because I was on...
I chose this hotel because I was on a budget and wanted a good location. Not knowing Central London that well, I was pleased to feel comfortable walking around the area and the hotel was very easy to find - a short walk from Paddington Tube.<br />What you get is fairly basic (I didn't have a hairdryer in the room despite it being advertised), and it was disappointing not to have been offered some help up the four flights of stairs with my heavy case (I was told it would keep me fit!). But I guess for the price it was OK for one night. As there are a number of Hotels in that same area - I think I would try one of the others to see how they compare before returning.<br />.

Would recommend with reservations. Up several flights of stairs, no lift. My room was very tiny. I could touch both walls without really stretching too hard. Television didn't work, curtain didnt cover window, Shower was too small to get into!! Bed ok and clean - but that should be a given.
