Canary Wharf Serviced Apartments by Portland Reviews

Excellent location for Canary Wharf. Very clean and spacious. Only down side was that there was no complimentary access to gym or pool.

We did not stay at this apartment, as the central heating boiler burst 2 days before we were due to arrive. We were given a new apartment in another building that is managed by another company and the changeover was manged professionally and seamlessly. We had a great holiday and found Canary Wharf ideal for commuting via Jubilee Line. It was nice to come home to the quietness each night and not having to bother about hotel routines. As the man said, 'if you are tired of London, you are tired of life.'

Comfortable, easy to get to most enjoyable

I can honestly say I can not fault these apartments in anyway. They are ideally positioned for the O2 Arena for any of those concerts you may be wanting to see without having to drive home straight away. The apartment overlook the docklands at Canary Warf and are litterary no more than a 5 min walk to the Canary Warf Tube Station or the Heron Quay DLR station and the journey into town is about 15 - 20. The apartments have a number of resturants and bars nearby. As to the apartment itself. They are totally self contained with all the facillities of being home from home. Washing machines, dish washers, ironing board, multi channel flatscreen TV's. We found the staff brilliant and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The booking process was excellent and reservation staff very nice and again very helpful. All in all we had a great stay at these apartments and look forward to staying there again. Highly recommend these apartments if you are looking to stay in the London area if you don't mind a little journey into the center of town. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent !!!!!

The apartment was clean with a great view. There was everything you need in the apartment

The experience was excellent as the apartment was well appointed with wonderful views of London. It is positioned well for public transport and enabled us to see an area of London away from the usual tourist traps.

There was a problem with the apartment I booked and to ensure that I wasn't inconvenienced I was put in another serviced apartment. I am really impressed as it turns out to do this they had to put me in a more expensive property with the competition. Really this was excellent customer service. I have not rated the other apartment provided as this would not be a fair reflection

Good quality double bedroom apartment immediately next to DLR and 5 minutes from Canary Wharf tube. Very helpful concierge(s). Reasonably priced when compared to two hotel rooms did not use gym but swimming pool in basement was very pleasant. Car parking in basement garage was £10 per night. Apartment was well equipped with one exception, it only had comfortable seating for three. No noticable noise issues.

First experience staying in a serviced apartment as opposed to a hotel, and it was amazing. For a fraction of the price we would have payed for a suite in a hotel, we had a beautifully decorated, spacious apartment - could easily have spent a week there instead of a couple of nights. The apartment was spotlessly clean, stylishly furnished, well equipped with everything you might need for a self catering stay and very close to the DLR or Jubilee line. Slight quibble - the view from our apartment wasn't great (it looked over a construction site), so would request one with a view next time. Would not hesitate to stay again on next trip to London.

There was a mix up and, when I arrived, the apartment had not been cleaned. I told the duty manager and this was resolved very quickly. Portland offered to knock £30 off the bill, which, naturally, I accepted. This was great customer service and a lesson to all other businesses.
As for the apartment. Wow! What a great place. Just perfect. I can't wait to use it again.
