Hotel was basically good, but stayed in room 103 in the basement, next to the lift and the toilets. Probably the noisiest hotel bedroom i have ever stayed in. If in another room above ground level it might have been a better experience.
Summary
Easy to find hotel from Queensway Underground, not so easy if walking from Paddington though as directions aren't brilliant.
Hotel was clean, 24 hour service which was needed as we were there for the New Year celebrations.
Continental breakfast was good.
Only blemish overall was that the Bathroom had a few mildew marks and a cracked tile on the floor. Otherwise excellant stay and cost for the time of year.
While in a good location with regards to bus services into the West End and a short walk from Hyde Park. This was a very expensive hotel considering the size and quality of the room. in my opinion It was over priced by about £60. On the plus side, every member of staff we came into contact with was polite, friendly and helpful.

When I arrive to the hotel the bathroom had hair from other customer and when I leave the hotel the hair still there
Summary
Friendly , clean and comfortable - good value.
Summary
I stayed with my adult daughter for three nights in a twin room with a double and single bed. The room was an adequate size if not spacious and the bathroom was plenty big enough with lashings of hot water. I liked the fact that the hotel was on a side street and very quiet but only a few minutes walk from the underground. We had a free breakfast in the offer and although this did not include a cooked meal, there was plenty to eat. Breakfast is served in time slots so book early to get the one you want. The room was cleaned well and there was always someone on the front desk. Altogether a pleasant hotel which provided us with a relatively inexpensive base to do our sightseeing.
Summary
I admit I wasn't expecting much as London accommodation is so over-priced, but this hotel was ideal for a short stay in a central location. A few minutes walk from the subway and Hide park across the road for an evening run. Room was well kitted out if a little small, but had everything I needed (apart from soap!). it was perfectly clean and the staff were polite. Internet access was an extra £10.
Summary
Well situated hotel. Welcoming staff, clean and tidy interior. Very comfortable bed. Furniture a little tired but then for an overnight stay this wasn't an issue. When we next go to a concert in London or need to get away, we will certainly consider returning to The Byron. We paid £69 in total which included Continental breakfast. For a hotel in Central London this was extremely good value for money.
Summary
When we arrived the receptionist was very pleasant and all seemed ok. He commented on us being a Late Room booking and said... "ok your on Lower Ground" When getting down there the room was barely big enough for the double bed that was in there. One side had no walking space, the other was only enough for side step walking! However it was clean.... The air conditioning that it was meant to have consisted of a clapped out old heat under the window which only did heat and but there was a fan sat on the desk next. The main door which was 2 steps from the bed also had a gap down one side so you could see light from the corridor. The kettle was also too big to fill in the sink so had to fill by cup.
I understand we book with late rooms but why does that me we get the rough end of the deal ? We could have gone else where if we had of known and they wouldn't have a booking at all. Very disappointed.... which is a shame as we stay in London a lot and this was an unexpected stay over so tried somewhere different. Never again.
This is the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Whilst it was cheap it was still hugely over-priced.
There is no way that this accommodation is even 2 star. Why is it rated as 4 star?
The hotel was on a quiet street but within minutes walk of both transport links and local shops and eateries. Well placed for visiting all the major attractions and shopping/theatre breaks. Would have benefitted from secure storage facility for luggage and lounge area was too small for the number of rooms. Entrance steps not suitable for disabled access. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Summary
Upon check-in staff were surly and when the lift broke down they didn't offer to carry my elderly parents bags and they struggled getting their bags to the fourth floor via the steep stairs - I had to do the staffs job for them and make three trips up and down the stairs while the staff did sweet nothing to help. The rooms were cramped, dirty, old fashioned, carpets filthy, bathroom ceilings covered in mould, sink wouldn't drain away, tv reception poor - the hotels only saving grace was that we only had to endure it for one night. Avoid this hotel at all costs - there are far better places for the money.
Summary
I found the room to be of a good standard though a little noisy outside in the morning with cleaners and an alarm that went off in the night. Overall though the service was pretty good.
Summary
Overall the experience was good. The hotel was 2 blocks away from the subway and in that street we found plenty of nice restaurants to have dinner in. Plus, right next to Hyde Park / Kensington gardens, where one could have a nice walk in the morning.
The reception staff was nice. The room looked cosy, with a nice TV and matching fabrics. The bathroom had all the basics: clean towels, soap, shower gel, a nice bathtub. The only aspect I found a bit less pleasant was that the bed duvet didn't look very clean, there were some hairs and at some point I spotted a bug walking around (which could have been a coincidence). Also, the fact that we needed to book the specific time at which we wanted to have breakfast didn't allow for a lot of flexibility, specially for someone who's on vacation. The breakfast was nice though, the buffet not that varied (only one type of cheese / ham / cereal) but there was a waitress who served us freshly made coffee and toast, which was nice.
For the price we paid, it was definitely very good. Just what we needed for a weekend getaway for two.
It was ok for a single room. Charging for Wifi is a little annoying. Also the receptionist didn't listen to my request not to convert currencies on my credit card so I ended up paying a lot more than I should have.
Summary
Overall a very good choice in an excellent location
lots of bard and eateries close by and perectly placed for exploring central london
recommended and would return
Booked this hotel in good faith assuming that the cost to me included breakfast. this was not so and when booking i had requested a 7am breakfast but breakfast is not served until 7.30 at the earliest, had the hotel informed me of this i would have taken my custom elsewhere. other than the lack of breakfast the room was clean, basic and totally poor value for money. i could have got similar with a travel lodge
Summary
Good and tidy in the room. Comfortable and quite environment.
Summary
Amazing value for money and modern/clean. I recommend this hotel.
Summary
It was a last minute booking and whilst the room was small and at the back of the hotel was more than adequate and great value.Location near to Kensington Gardens and the Queensway tube station made getting around easy.
The breakfast was included but it was not made clear that it was the continental breakfast only and that a cooked breakfast extra.
Very pleasant staff but the lady in the dining room did not understand english too well !!!
The room was ok, but spoiled by the fact that window had been left open in sub-zero temperatures prior to out arrival so the place was freezing. Added to that the heating constantly rattled noisily when turned on, ok if you're a heavy sleeper but could otherwise keep you up most of the night.
Summary
Efficient hotel, clean and tidy. I don't agree with 4*, there were not many facilities. That said I would stay there again.
Summary
The hotel was fine for only £79 per night for 2 . Council Car park availalble was a couple of streets away.
The room is quite clean but too much dust in there so not suit with guest who is dust allergic.
Summary
I was disappointed with Byron Hotel. Considering the cost and it being 4* it was pretty shabby. I wouldn't use it again.
Summary
Didn't really feel like a 4 star hotel....slightly tired sofa, tiny tv at the end of the room...tiny bathroom where your knees hot the door when using the loo!
Breakfast staff were very friendly, breakfast itself was very basic continental but all in all for the £75 paid it was reasonable, any more and we'd have felt it overpriced despite the central location.
Also 7.30 is the earliest breakfast, something to bear in mind if you have an early train.
Hotel in good location and pleasant but wouldnt class as a 4 star more like a 3 star, had a double room which was small and nowhere to put our cases. Not a vast selection on the continental breakfast. Staff friendly.
Summary
The hotel was adequate, the rooms were clean although the bathroom smelt of cat litter yet there was not a litter tray so the smell of the air freshners or whatever they used was revolting. The rooms were tiny with no channels available if you wanted to watch TV.
Summary
Nice room, a little bit small. Facilities not up to par with the 4star rating, hairdryer rubbish, inconvenient toilet and shower room seperated.
Summary
The hotel staff were very considerate and pleasant. The room was small with just enough room to sit at the desk, move around the bed and unpack. There is no real place to put clothes if you do unpack. So I hung up the clothes I could and lived out of my suitcase.
The shower door was off the track .. This meant that I had to prop it up whilst showering and hope that it would not fall on me.
A warm duvet or 'puff' would have been greatly appreciated. The one with the bed was summer weight and this meant using heat to keep warm through the night.
Complimentary internet service would have been greatly appreciated. One hour simply is not enough in dealing with a city the size of London.
Good location and the hotel was quiet, although I think pricey for what you get.

Summary
It was good to be so central and at a reasonable Late Rooms price, but the room was very small. I booked a twin after reading the warnings and was glad I did. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean, albeit in need of a lick of paint, and the shower was good. But the television was badly tuned in and the aerial needed adusting (I didn't mention it as I was out and about most of the time). The most annoying thing was that I couldn't reach the bedside light from the bed, so had to get up to turn it on and off. Breakfast was fine, though unimaginative, and service was very pleasant.
Summary
I checked out previous reviews before staying and found this Hotel to be great. It was neat, tidy, clean and quiet.
Summary
Hotel is very welcoming and staff were very friendly. As visiting tourists, the hotel's location was perfect - right beside Hyde Park and Central line underground stations. Value was as good as your going to get in London. Room was small but clean and perfect for what we needed. Definite recommend.
Summary
Byron Hotel was a lovely location especially for women felt very safe.
Summary
My double room was absolutely tiny to the point where effectively there was no where to put a small overnight bag. I don't believe a hotel carrying 4 stars should be offering rooms such as this.

VERY NICE HOTEL IN A NICE AREA OF LONDON
Summary
Room was very small but represented value for money.Wifi internet at 10pounds for 24hrs did not work well from our room-had to go to a reception room to get a satisfactory signal.Location was excellent
Summary
After i was not happy with my room i decided to stay only one night out of the 3 and when i informed them the did not want to refund me for the other 2 nights, saying that i still had to pay for them even though it clearly stated on the T&C that this would be in the case that i do not show up i would only get charged 1 night. when i tried to correct them the where very rude to me and did not even appologise when they realised i was right the whole time.
