Summary
We were up for the Camden Crawl, this hotel is 5 mins from Chalk Farm tube so location was great. I was worried after reading comments on here about windowless rooms so when we were allocated a room on the lower floor my heart sank but I asked if it had a window and was assured it did. I shouldn't have worried the room was fine, I think it may have been refurbished recently, though the curtains had seen better days! Yes it was at road level but didn't hear the traffic and it was spotlessly clean. We opted for the continental breakfast which was ok, the dining room is a bit tired but we weren't in it for long! All in all a very acceptable hotel for the money and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Summary
The room was so hot it was uncomfortable, and as it was underground and had no windows it was not a pleasant nights sleep.
Summary
If we were in a time warp and this was 1990 - this hotel would be fine. But we're not this is 2012 - literally weeks ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The best bit of the room was the view. I upgraded to ensure I got a decent standard but while everything in the room was there, hairdyer, kettle, TV etc it was sooo dated it was staggering that a London hotel can charge £185 a night for something 20 years out of date. I was on business so only in my room for afew hours each night, but even so I was disappointed.
As there were problems at The hotel in Hampstead, I was transferred to their hotel in Canary Wharf. The service at the reception was slow. The food/room service was poor. The room needed updating. The breakfast was excellent.
Summary
The hotel was a bit old fashioned but suited our purposes. We got a nice deal and ended up paying very little for our stay so didn't expect much. Location is very good! Really enjoyed the area. Wouldn't recommend if you want to spend more time at the hotel. We didn't use any of the restaurant services as breakfast was not included. There are several nice restaurants and cafes just around the corner.

Good value, basic hotel. Handy location.
Summary
Overall a good deal I received for the late notice I was working with. Slightly disappointed with my room as I was given room number one which is in the basement corridor. No windows was a bit disappointing and the tv reception was rubbish.
Staff at the hotel were all good and friendly. I was also a bit disappointeed with the lack of parking for guests but parking on the stree was adequeate after 6.30 otherwise the traffic hounds are all over you like a rash.

Excellent location. My daughter had a audition so we needed overnight stay in this area. good looking hotel. Room a bit tired but clean. service excellent. breakfast was fine, only went for continental. Great value for money and would certainly stay again
Summary
The hotel was very clean and the room well decorated. . It was a late booking, and at £49 very good value for money. It was a basement room, so no windows, but was en suite and very suitable for what we wanted. If we had paid the full price would have felt it was a little expensive. It was a bit of a walk to the tube station but in a very safe and quiet area. It would have been useful to know that although it is called the Hampstead Britannia, it is nearer to Camden/Chalk Farm. We did not realise that you can get breakfast for £5 until we were nearly ready to go to bed and if we had known earlier would have most probably taken them up on the offer . A pleasant stay and good value for money.

Summary
A no frills, pleasant hotel that had decent food and mostly friendly staff who provided information etc on request. The room was fine, perhaps some might say slightly dated- but this was of no concern to me as had more interesting things to focus on and I was not expecting luxury as I had not paid for it. Good bathroom with excellent lighting for make up etc, which as a lady is of some relevance to me! Fairly stingy with regards the shower gels etc but this was of no surprise and it's easy enough to pick something up from local shops. Room was rather cold (this is in March) so we asked for an electric heater which the staff happily provided. Good location as nearby to Chalk Farm Tube and various bus stops. I would recommend this hotel for those looking to be in this area on a relative budget and I would personally stay again.
Summary
I booked 4 rooms here for a party of 8, rooms were as expected but if you don't pay top dollar you don't expect top dollar hotels, but I had no complaints from the others (which I sometimes do), so it must have been ok.
Although the rooms were a little tired, they were very clean and certainly value for money.
The staff are friendly and really helpful, will use it again.
The only good thing to say about this hotel is the location. The staff try their best but this hotel is beyond its sell-by date. The room furniture is geriatric, carpets filthy (particularly in public areas) curtains stained etc. There is no double glazing hence lots of condensation and noise. Brittania are squandering an opportunity of making a good hotel in London for not a large investment. Staff morale would be vastly improved by them not having to try and make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Pull your socks up Britannia, the standard of this hotel is a disgrace and is a poor advertisement for this country. Invest in your properties and your staff, and your yield will increase.
Summary
We had a nice time at the hotel, it was really good value. The décor was a little tired, but the bedding was nice and fresh and the room was clean and tidy, so we had a pleasant and comfy stay.
Summary
Great location for the roundhouse music venue , short walk from chalk farm tube , friendly staff , clean comfortable accommodation and good choice of breakfast options , overall a good find for a London stay .
Summary
Would definitely stay at this hotel again. It is ideally situated - only a ten minute walk into Camden and really close to Chalk Farm Tube station. The room was very clean and although it is a bit dated, this was not a problem for us. The staff were very helpful and we could not fault any aspect of the hotel. The price was amazing for a hotel in London, especially one so close to Camden. The location was also very good for travelling from Euston station, as Chalk Farm tube station is three tube stops from Euston.
Will be staying here again.
I was in a below floor room, no windows etc, I hate it but the room itself was fine (just not underground) maybe if you get a cheap room on Late Rooms this is what you get.
Parking is a HUGE issue here and the staff grumpy and surly (on this occasion)
Lovely room and perfectly located for my trip.
Summary
Great value quiet location short walk to tube and Primrose Hill park and a great resteraunt The Lemonia
Summary
A portion n of the wallpaper was peeling and was a fair amount. of mould on the window . the bed was fairly comfy.
Summary
We were very pleased with the hotel for the price we paid only comment to make is that it is a little dated and needs updating but that said we had a very comfortable night and breakfast was great and if we were to return to London we would stay here without doubt
Summary
Room was clean, however decor was dated. did not sleep very well as main road outside was noisy,, heard sirens all night. receptionist didnt seem very helpful, however hotel did have parking facilities which was good (£10 for 24hrs parking) overall stay was ok, but probably would not stay again..
Summary
Pleasant room, even no windows in basement. ( only there to sleep).
Very nice hotel and great bargain at price.
This truly is a disgusting hotel. While the staff are nice, the hotel is old and in desperate need of renovation. The rooms smell of air freshener that is trying very hard to cover up the smell of smoke, even on the non-smoking floors. There is no double glazing, so you cannot escape the noise of the busy road outside, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and the pillow were solid.
Additionally, only one lift was working, and there is just a general feeling that the owners really do not care about their hotel or the clientele. Why? Becasue unfortunately people will stay there anyway, so they don't need to spend money doing it up. Why will they stay? Becuase they won't know how bad it is until they get there! I would bet not many stay again though. I certianly won't be!
We were looking for a reasonable last minute hotel for a stay in London, for the £40 price I thought it was a great deal, if you're looking for a place and are not looking for total luxury I would definitely recommend.
The Location: Great, close to Chalk Farm tube (5 minute walk) as well as a 24 hour shop for snacks, very close to the Roundhouse theatre.
The Hotel/Room: 24 Hour access, so great if you're on a night out, Bar downstairs, & lifts to all floors. The room itself was a little old fashioned and basic, but was very clean. The only issue was that we were taken to a non-smoking room, when we opened the door we were hit by a wave of smokey smelling air. I do think this is mainly due to previous guests smoking in a non-smoking room more than the hotel itself, but wasn't ideal.
Price: Great if what you are looking for is a quick stopover in London and don't plan on staying in your room for too long, so easy to get to the northern line and a fairly safe area to walk back to the hotel in the evening.
All in all would definitely recommend if you're on a budget and not planning on too long of a stay
An Excellent Choice, Very customer friendly, room was clean and tidy. bar staff were happy even though it was 01:30am and still serving. Definetly go back. Just around the corner from Ckalk Farm Tube
Summary
Staff where very helpful and polite, room was a bit dated but clean. would stay there again.
Summary
Stayed at the Britannia Hampstead as we were going to a gig at the Roundhouse in Camden and were looking for a good value hotel in walking distance. I wasn't expecting much as we got a very good deal on the price but was really pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless, the staff helpful and courteous, and while the only food we ate at the hotel was a buffet style breakfast in the morning it was lovely and a bargain to boot!
Unfortunately we didn't have as much time in Camden as we would have liked but we're considering going back to take a proper look at the amazing markets and will definitely be staying at the Britannia!
Initially we were disappointed to be show to a room at the most distant point on the 4th floor which smelt of stale cigarettes and possibly mould. When we requested something better there was no quibble and we were given a large, comfortable and very well-appointed room on the first floor - so top marks for customer service. There was a wide choice of excellent breakfasts. At the LateRooms price this represented outstanding value for a stay in London.

Good size room, clean and comfortable. Didn't eat there.

Continental breakfast only offered online. Upgrade to buffet cooked breakfast double the price. Cooked breakfast well set out, plentiful and tasty.
Summary
I thought the hotel was good value for money through late rooms. I couldn't really say anything bad about the hotel except for the car parking. Quite a big hotel for such a small car park. Although the staff are very understanding and allow you to park where ever there is a gap.
But I guess this is common across all of London.
Other than that the hotel was fine and my room on the fifth floor gave a stunning view of the city
There were no pictures of the room on the webiste - this is for a reason they were old and drab.
Summary
Very impressed with standard of accommodation for the price. Rooms are spacious and mine was immaculate. Very god size and comfortable bed.
Summary
Very friendley staff and clean comfortable beds would stay there again thank you for your help
The hotel was good value with polite and attentive staff. Would recommend it to my friends and famity.
