All in all couldnt have been better,price,location,cleanliness,all services required such as hair dryer,tea,coffee,iron etc.Will definatley stay again.

Booked this last minute as I needed somewhere to stay in central London.
Nice enough, efficient, friendly service (including breakfast, unlike some other reviewers).
A few problems with the room, mainly that the air con kept turning itself off.
However, its clean, well maintained and good value for somewhere so close to Baker St and Marylebone High St, where there are plenty of food and drink places - the Blandford does not have a bar or restaurant)

Positives - Like some other reviews on here, this was a lovely hotel, conveniently located a couple of minutes away from Baker Street tube. Check-in was quick and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable.
Negatives - Not a 4-Star, and therefore overpriced at £155. Doors were very thin and all slammed shut, so you are often disturbed by other guests. Breakfast was appalling I'm afraid. Dry bacon, cheap sausages that tasted awful, and tinned/frozen mushrooms. Again not 4-star.
I'd stay here again, but only at a lower price

I have stayed here maybe 10-15 times, mostly single-night stays. Nice people. The hotel is fairly quiet, is quite clean, is not super-spacious, but /is/ quite spacious considering the price and location. I think the hotel represents excellent value for money and will be staying there again.

Very nice and friendly hotel. My friend and I har single rooms. Very nice, but small. Value for money.

I can speak very highly of the Blandford Hotel and recommend it as not only for good food, nice room and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, but also as an excellent location for visiting London. The hotel is only about 3 minutes walk from Baker Street tube station, and from there you can easily get to most 'sites', and the off peak tube fare is so cheap!

Lovely room, nicely furnished and decorated, only bizarrely the toilet door in room 7 left a gap eitherside, so not very private.

Having needed a hotel at the last minute I was pleased to stumble upon this hotel near to Baker Street. Found a great restaurant Reubans on Baker Street and the hotel was very central for my needs

Really pleased with this hotel and intend to stay there again. It did feel rather expensive even with the special offer but it was so convenient near to Baker Stree station and Marylebone High Street which is an ideal place for eating out. The hotel was, clean and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. I intend to stay there again and will recommend it to others.

Very welcoming and friendly travelling alone felt safe. cosy little b&b in a great location for seeing london.

Had a one night stopover whilst in London. Great tube links with Baker St & great food and drink places near by.

Excellent central location, near tube and bus services. Receptionists were very helpful. Room was tastefully decorated, clean and had everything I needed to have in it. The windows were not double glazed although, this did not worry us one bit as the road that the hotel is on is quiet for London standards.
Its great that the room is not centrally air-conditioned, there is a fan with a temperature thermostat that can be switch on to alter to suit the persons need. It was forecasted snow with us so put the temperature to 20 degrees. The fan quietly worked in the background, you could hardly notice it was there.
It is fair to say the room was not overly large, although it had everything we wanted in it.

Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating and rooms were of a very good standard for the area and (Late Room) cost. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast staff seemed disorganised - but couldn't complain about the food for the money !

Basic, spotless, very comfortable, friendly staff, the perfect place to put your head down at the end of a busy day, not perhaps the place to sit back & relax!

Good find near Baker Street - good for buses and tubes

We stopped for 1 night, and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very close to Baker Street tube (which is on a lot of underground lines & so easily accessible) and is situated on a quiet street. The room was smallish, but certainly big enough for us - I'd say about 11foot square - and, from the layout, I'd say the rest of rooms on that floor are likely to be of similar proportions.
The staff are friendly and helpful; breakfast was nice; pleasant stay all round.

Excellent location very close to Baker Street tube station but very quiet with no traffic noise and no noise from other rooms. Kind staff with a sense of humour. Good traditional English breakfast. Large bed. Everything very clean. All facilities you need. Tea making. Room 1 very small but adequate. Size to be expected for London. Visited Westminister Abbey and the National Gallery; wonderful. Show; Noises Off; funniest thing you will ever see.

Excellent hotel, helpful staff, breakfast fine and plentiful. Great location. Altogether a good experience.

The Blandford Hotel gave good value for money. It was in easy reach for the underground and in walking distance for Christmas shopping in Oxford Street.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blandford hotel which is both friendly and comfortable. The full English breakfast buffet is great too. Excellent location, close to Baker street tube. We would definitely use this hotel again.

A hop, skip and a jump from Baker St, so perfect for Oxford St shops and going further afield too. Worth mentioning that it's very close to the Wallace Collection which we stumbled upon and which is one of London's best-kept secrets.
Very polite staff and much nicer than staying in a faceless chain hotel.

Very good value hotel for Central London. Room and bathroom small but nicely refurbished, comfortable and impeccably clean. Location is superb - very close to amenities but in a pleasant & quiet side street. No restaurant or bar but very good quality breakfast. I would strongly recommend this hotel for both business & leisure visitors

Good location and friendly staff as well as being reasonably priced.

My wife and l enjoyed our stay at the Blanford hotel. It is very well situated for bus and underground. The staff were very friendly. We both enjoyed the breakfast and the room was nice and clean. The complimentary tea and coffee and newspapers in reception was a nice touch and the room safe was easy to operate.

A well-looked-after, smart, clean and tidy hotel, very conveniently placed for our needs for the weekend.

Hotel reasonable, but avoid room 46 as something mechanical runs all night long above it - A/C or heating for the whole hotel maybe - so hard to get a proper night's sleep.

Off the beaten track but still in the heart of a great part of London.

This was definitely NOT 4-star accommodation. The reception area was not grand and welcoming like a normal "4-star" hotel in London, but more like a B&B in Bournemouth. The room I was given was in the basement (room #1) and had barely any phone signal (this is central London) and barely enough room to get changed without tripping over the bed. In fact, most of the floorspace was taken up with the bed and there was a bout a foot between the bottom of the bed and the wall. If you like a spacious room, avoid this place at all costs. I got the place cheap on LateRooms, but the normal prices are way over the top if this is typical of the room sizes in this hotel (maybe I just drew the short straw).

If you want vfm in central london this is a good place to stay. Sure, rooms are small and amenities are basic - 4-start rating is hard to agree with - but you get what you pay for and on that basis I recommend this hotel. Courteous staff, clean rooms, everything seems to be done pretty well. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Good location for heathrow or Paddington. Ro was ok but could have been better

I chose this hotel because it stated it was 4*. It was not. The room is small (maybe 50cm larger than the bed) the paint is old and a bit worn, the breakfast was the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cereals etc. The tea was weak. The serving staff reused knives and forks that guests left unused on the table without washing them. "Free Internet" means 1 hour free, after that you must pay, and it's painfully slow.
However, it's very well placed, a stones throw from Baker street tube, with lots around and a reasonable walk from Oxford circus. The staff are friendly and courteous.
If the hotel had been marked as a 3* hotel, it would have been perfectly nice. And the price reflected that, I'm just disappointed because the star rating raised my hopes. If you're expecting 4* then look elsewhere. If you're looking for a decent hotel in a good area, this one is ok.

Staff were very helpful room was well proportioned and had everything expected. Breakfast was hot plentiful staff were very attentive.
As to whether the hotel could be classed as 4* is debatable, however obtaining the accommodation through late rooms made it good value for money and I would recommend the hotel

Worked well for a two night visit to London. Really handy for the underground whilst still being a quiet location. The hotel is quite small for spending much time in but was very clean and comfortable and the staff made us feel very welcome.
