One night business stay

I chose the Blakemore for its location - it was very convenient, easy to check in and out, and I got an upgrade on my room, which was a nice surprise.

Excellent choice- We will be back

The Hotel has obviously undergone an extensive refurbishment. We were greeted by a friendly smile and helpful receptionist. Everything explained. Hotel was clean and fresh smelling especially when entering the room. Although compact, it was sufficient for our needs. Very close to the centre of London. We look forward to returning.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the suite was roomy and very comfortable.

The hotel was clean, well situated and the room was comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was edible, not entirely fabulous, we ate in restaurant during the evening and the food was served delightfully. The buffet breakfast wasnt all that great but there was plenty there and you could find something. Would consider this hotel again for future trips. Only cost £8 in a taxi to Earls Court from here.

One Unhappy Client

I have booked true to laterooms.com and I booked to have a lovely night with my partner for her birthday but I was very disappointed with reception welcoming with no smile and the room I have been given was horrible duvet cover was very baggy and uncomfortable rust was everywhere on the war-drop bathroom etc, the hotel its self looks lovely on the main display and the room was showing was £450 but I was very embarrassed to my partner never again:(

Remarkable value for a London Hotel

...found through Laterooms, remarkable value at £71.95 for two including a continental breakfast, plus.....we got upgraded to a Junior Suite on arrival, Annnnddd as it was a Sunday, so got to park on the single yellows right outside the hotel for free. We were back late & out early but from what we experienced, we would completely recommend this hotel & Laterooms.

Good value for money

A good hotel in an excellent location, only minutes from Hyde Park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room (110) was large, clean & quiet but could have done with an overhead light. Would certainly stay again.

Avoid rooms downstairs

Booked the hotel last minute, standard double room, quite a good price so didnt expect luxury. Upon arrival, were given a room , downstairs in corridor off reception. Upon asking for a room on a higher floor, was told by the rather unfriendly Duty Manager, these are the only standard double rooms in the hotel. The room was totally unacceptable, damp patches everywhere, broken window, kept together with plastic tape, heating was on full blast and could not be turned off, carpet filthy, overlooking a filthy courtyard.
Did not see the rest of the hotel, but these rooms should not be rented out, especially in a hotel that claims to be four star, so these rooms are to be avoided at all costs.
But obviously the hotel has a "'what you pay is what you get"'policy.
Only positive about the hotel is the quiet location and the nice facade at the front.

Sub standard room

A very small room with just enough space for the bed and very little room either side to the walls. The room proper is reached through a very long and narrow hall which is just a little wider than the door itself. The furniture and fittings in both the room and bathroom are of, in my opinion, poor quality. Although clean, they showed visible ugly signs of heavy use. Very drafty windows/frames although the noisy radiator did keep the room warm enough. Bathroom was extremely small with barely enough room for the necessary. As a relatively tall man sitting on the toilet gave me a claustrophobic feeling and my head touched the ceiling when standing in the bath (with shower head). The paint on the ceiling was heavily peeling with large flakes falling off. I should also mention that the lift is also next to the room I occupied and of course can be clearly heard. In summary a terrible room for the price and given the good impression the website and the hotel reception made on me I was appalled. My complaints were met with the news that the hotel was booked out and the next day something may be available in a better quality room. I booked a standard double for two people in what is described as a superior 4 star hotel. Very disappointed and trip to London was only rescued by spending as little time as possible in this room.

The room which was booked was a double until i got to the hotel and found myself it was a twin room with very poor interior not of anyy quality even in a 1 crown hotel. would not reccomend to anyone.
