The room that we were given was on...
The room that we were given was on two levels and did not really have any windows or view. However, more significantly it did not have any windows to allow for ventilation. Consequently the warm and stale air rose to the upper level where there was no outlet. A fan was provided, but all this did was to move the warm, stale air around. Despite it being October the atmosphere in the room was very stuufy and warm, making it difficult to sleep. The pillows were cheap and thin, and only one was provided per guest. Breakfast was very self service with guest wandering around the breakfast room in all directions collecting toast, coffee etc. Poorly organised breakfast room. Staff were polite and friendly and the hotel was generally clean.

Room was located next to the lift, so quite noisy although away from traffic noise.
A fan was provided, which was good as it was a hot evening.

Hotel location is very good. Rooms are so small, in the basement i feel there is no air. Window wasn't openable. Bath is so small and bath ground is not in the same level. It needs a restoration in a generally speaking. It needs a small refrigerator in the room. On the other hand, i am not sure in customer service, since i requested a wake up call in the morning, but no body called me. Fortunately, I was awaken before the time that I requested. Otherwise, it would be a disaster for me, to miss the bus for the London Tour.

A basic room, no real complaints, very pleasant staff. Bar expensive and limited. Breakfast always cold even at seven in the morning, this is very poor, and the reason I do not think I would use this hotel again.
No resteraunt facilities
Good location, could do a lot better with a bit of effort.

Nice and very convenient location with some quite up to date features. Room was very quiet but somewhat shabby and in need of a serious overhaul which seemed not in line with a "Best Western" label as I know it from the USA. Staff is friendly and very busy servicing the customer. Breakfast is correct and plentyfull but somewhat tasteless. I would rate this hotel as average value for money, but since my London hotel experience is limited to a few locations, this estimate has only relative value.

I travel a lot, and spend 3-4 days of my week in hotels around europe. And i'm glad that i only had to stay at this hotel for one short night. The room didn't look anything as advertised, the floor was sticky and the room smelled as someone had dropped a bottle of vinegar.
I left my things and headed out for a meeting straight away. I returned to the hotel 2 times during the evening, and didn't see any staff. When i checked out in the morning, there was a group of people ready to check in, but they couldn't find any staff.
There are a lot of better and cheaper alternatives out there, and close by.

The first room we were shown to was gloomy, dark and on the ground floor at street level- a noisy street - it smelt of smoke and traffic fumes - impossible! The staff on the desk were very helpful and changed the room immediately. I would not have stayed at the hotel if we were not able to change the room. The room we ended up in was comfortable but certainly not four- star status. The breakfast room was at basement level with no windows to the outside, stuffy and crowded. I would not book this hotel again. It was reasonably priced however and a good location for central London. Its four- star status is misleading.

The room was very clean and well decorated. En-suite was also very bright and very clean. I was very happy with it. The television reception was poor which meant that I was unable to watch a favourite programme on ITV1.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is just a couple of minutes walk from Lancaster Gate tube station and you can walk from the hotel to Oxford street in about fifteen minutes. We booked a twin room but were actually given a triple (number 11 on the ground floor). the room and bathroom were clean and spacious but the room was a little dated and simply furniched. If you are looking for luxurious surroundings this is not the hotel for you but if you want to stay somewhere very central in a large room then it is perfect. the breakfast was nothing special and served in a fairly dingy basement room but there was plenty of choice.

The hotel was okej. It was fairly cheep (beeing in London!), and you of course get what you pay for. Nice breakfast and clean rooms. The toilets seemed to be from the late 70s though.

Hotel reception area lots of character, quite central to the needs of our party, very clean. My room (407) very cramped, noisy as it was very close to the lift, no air conditioning, absolutely no view whatsoever. We arrived for breakfast 1 hour before service ended not a great deal of choice left, breakfast room very hot and stuffy, windowless and too many tables squashed into space. Disappointed, as not up to the usual standard I have come to expect when using Best Western Hotels.

Breakfast was really poor, I was embarrassed to realise that there were visitors from abroad staying there who may think that all British hotels serve such poor food.

I have stayed here before. This particular time was especially good. The staff were excellent and very pleasant - especially the lady from Denmark. They always try to resolve problems if any arise. My room this time was particularly good. I have a diamond elite BestWestern membership card and I think they recognised this and looked after me accordingly. The breakfast is OK but could be improved. Fresh fruit could be better and I enjoy fried eggs but there was only scrambled. But that is nitpicking and personal choice.

This website quoted 4* with luxuriously appointed rooms - it is barely a 3* and there was nothing luxurious about my room. Totally misleading.
Standard Room - stained carpet, curtains too small for windows. Dated decor and furniture. Unable to get a refund when I raised the issues.

In need of refurbishment and not the best Breakfast in the world. I may be a little harsh as this is London, but even here I've often paid less for better. Not bad enough to say I'd NEVER stay again, but it wouldn't be my first choice..

Very little in the way of customer service - they wouldn't even bring an ironing board to your room, you had to fetch it yourself from left luggage. Room was hot and stuffy and the bathroom cramped. On the plus side the library room was pleasant and the location pretty good. SO not awful, but there's better value out there.

The room was OK and the bathroom a positive experience; large, clean and lots of hot water and good water pressure. And for a scandinavian it was a VERY big plus that the bed had a "dyne", I always struggle with the english blankets! The breakfast was also good, so my total impression was postive. I paid 69 Pound and would however have been dissatisfied with less, If no cheaper known alternatives are available I would go back.
