Very pleasant, if a little dated

This hotel was very efficient, pleasant and quiet. The room was huge, so at least we had some decent space. The furnishings are a bit dated, but it was spotless. The location is excellent for the Royal Albert Hall and offered at a good rate, compared to others that close by. All round a good experience, nothing spectacular, but great if you are seeing something at the RAH and don't fancy a long walk or train ride home!

Single Rooms

Very old fashioned decoration, small TV, Shower was terrible, had to complain the next day as it would only come out cold, very old hairdryer that was useless

Comfortable rooms

This hotel provided very comfortable rooms and good service at breakfast and the evening dinner. If you want a hotel close to the Albert Hall this is a good one, evening meals are served in time to eat before a show and its a very short walk to the venue.
The staff were polite and the cleanliness of the hotel was very good.

Absolutely the best thing about my stay here was the quietness of the room, which was at the back of the hotel. I couldn't hear any traffic, even though I had the window open. The room was generous in size, as was the bathroom. Very clean and nicely decorated, but with an atmosphere of slightly faded glory. I would definitely stay here again.

Expensive, and staff a bit complacent. Poor breakfast for the money. Handy for Albert Hall. Probably shan't use again.

Very close to Albert hall

We chose this hotel as it was the closest we could find to the royal Albert hall.
It took us about 3mins from the hotel lobby to the RAH.
It us also only about 1minute to Hyde park.
The one and only downside is that it is quite a trek from south Kensington underground, especially when you have luggage. I would suggest hopping on route10 bus from kings cross and it drops off at the albert hall, near enough outside the hotel.
Our stay coincided with us seeing matt goss concert and we didn't want to be walking far aferwards and this hotel is ideal location.

Great apartment for the cost of a room

2 mins walk from the Royal Albert Hall which was great for my purpose. Hotel was fully booked so we were put in an apartment comprising kitchen/diner, lounge, bedroom and bathroom and there was even a little courtyard garden!!

Great location for Albert Hall !

5 Minute walk from the Albert Hall in a very nice location. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a good night sleep. The decor is older along with the bathroom suite (70/ 80's) but is completely acceptable for a stay in the city.
Staff were freindly and professional and our quick room service bite was as expected and delivered in a polite and timely way.

Not recommended

Air conditioning in the room allocated started quietly but, after about 10 minutes, sounded like a jet engine.
After being told that a change of room was not possible, was eventually moved to a room on the 4th floor. The lift was out of action and remained so for two days.
Never before have I stayed in a hotel room which did not have a mirror.
The televison could not even receive BBC1.
My bill showed a charge for breakfast although no breakfast was taken.
