Summary
Just right for our short stay. Clean, friendly, very convenient location. Highly recommended!
Nothing too much trouble for the staff; excellent breakfast.
I normally travel back out to a Premier Inn when working in London but thought I would give Laterooms a bash when the rate I got from Premier Inn was over £100. I was happily surprised to find this Hotel and really could not complain about anything, it was clean but a slightly mustiness which was probably "curtain fug" prevailed, but that's all. Have stayed across the road at another Hotel in the area and would stay here again too at the right price.
Summary
We've tried various hotels near Paddington Station for brief stays, and this is by far the best. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, nicely decorated and larger than expected. A comfortable bed and free internet were both great bonuses. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which offered lots of choices and good-quality food. Our only complaint was the very poor reception on the in-room telly.
Summary
The room was great. We were able to book in early and was happily given extra tea & milk from reception. All great definitely stay there again.
Summary
Very comfortable hotel. Room small but sufficient. Staff really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
Summary
Although this hotel was vey convenient for Paddington, quiet & and the staff were friendly the room was the size of a cupboard & neither the room or bathroom were very clean.
The sheets were ripped & had some dubious stains on them! .....the room was the length of a single bed so it was lucky I was only small. I stuck to the carpets & the bathroom was old, tired & dirty. As the booking was made only about a week before it was £125 per night......it was not worth £25......my son's student uni room was of a very much higher standard. I would definitely not stay here again .....ever!
Wanting accommodation near Paddington and the Heathrow Express, I booked my last night in the UK here. The location was great - but the room? The room was so tiny, there was nowhere to put my suitcase. I had to lay it on the floor beside my bed, then had to leap over and around it to get to the bathroom or leave the room. This might have been fine in a budget hotel, but for a room that cost $200 for one night, it was absurd. Not a good value at all.
Summary
Quite a small room but perfectly OK for one night stay. Very helpful staff, good breakfast and free WiFi. Very good value for money for somewhere so central.
Summary
Very near Paddington station and walking distance of Oxford Street. Very quiet and a comfortable room but just a little small. Would certainly stay again.

Very good value
Summary
I stayed here while flying through Heathrow for meetings and decided that, rather than flying directly on to my destination, I'd bookend the trip with nights in London and take the train. The Paddington area was where I wanted to stay, for the simple reason that the station connects both to Heathrow and where I needed to go. I spent the first night at the Castleton and wasn't impressed (ended up with a basement room next to the service door and quite loud), so after a walk around, I decided to move up the road to the Best Western on my way out of the UK.
From what I can tell from my two nights there, the street is literally packed with small Victorian style hotels. There doesn't seem to be much difference between them in terms of what you get. Most of the hotels have single pane glass, so you hear a lot of street noise, and none of them have large rooms, so I'd recommend taking ear plugs. After my experience at the Castleton, I was sure to request a room above the ground floor and I ended up with a 3rd floor room that was so small that I could just about touch opposing walls. However, the room was clean, well organized and pretty quiet. I didn't eat at the hotel cafe - there are great pubs, take away and breakfast cafes nearby. However, they were nice enough to grab me a wine glass from the bar when I showed up with fish and chips and a bottle of wine to eat in the room. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and I'll check it first the next time I fly through, but I'll probably make my decision based on price - they all seem more or less the same.
Small room, but all that i could need or an over night stay. Nicely decorated.
Summary
The staff were very nice.
The room wasn't so nice however. The room was clean but very small and not particularly modern. When I first went in it was so cold that I though the window was open - it wasn't but i had to draw the curtains to keep the draught out. I didn't sleep particularly well as the traffic kept me awake. Double glazing would solve a lot of these problems.
The shower, while small was very hot and quite powerful so that was nice.
The breakfast was average although the waitress was efficient.
I think I was disappointed as i had expectations based on stays in other hotels of a similar price (albeit not in London) where the rooms were modern, fresh, warm with a superb breakfast. I would liken this room to staying in a cupboard.
Very near Paddington Station and bus stops. Good price cafe's near. Staff very very helpful and friendly. Room small but was aware of this after reading other comments but not an issue. Accommadation clean + comfortable. Was concerned when saw room next to lift but didn't disturb sleep. Would stay again.
Summary
My wife and I and our 10 month stayed in a double room for one night. The staff was very service minded and very friendly and made us feel very much at home. The room was of good size, and the bathroom was newly renovated. The continental breakfast superceded our expectations, again with very friendly staff.
Summary
The staff were very obliging and helpful. The room was clean and adequate and I would stay at the hotel again.
Summary
Although clean and well appointed, room and bathroom were tiny. We are two small women and had difficulty, it would have been almost impossible for taller or larger people in such a small room (and also bathroom). Unfortunately we had a few visiting ants in the room!!!
Summary
It's London so it's going to be expensive but for the price the hotel was clean, well kept and perfectly comfortable. The room was well equiped, a decent mirror with a light over it and plug points near for my wife make up and hair straighteners, although it is compact. The hotel is just a 5 min walk from Paddington Station and when I spoke the hotel staff in advance they were happy for us to dump our bags with them when we arrived, as this was earlier than the earliest check in time, and take our bags up when the room became available while we went to enjoy the sights and likewise keep our bags after we checked out until we left London. It was a pleasant surprise that the room was available when we arrived early.

Cheap n cheerfull close to a nice pub and underground

Was upgraded ro Double Room. Pleasant en suite room with everything you need. Noticed internet access next to breakfast room. Overall very pleasant experience.
Summary
We stayed at the Delamere Hotel for one night so that we could visit Camden Lock market. Parking is very limited (2 spaces at the hotel) but as we arrived on a Sunday and the next day was Bank Holiday Monday, we were able to park free opposite the hotel on the main road, and being in Westminster just round the corner from Park Lane and the Mayfair Hotel, the area was quiet and felt very safe. The room was quite small, but very clean, and had everything we needed (although the teabags and milk were in short supply). The bed was very comfortable, and we were in no hurry to leave. There was no bath, but a shower cubicle which served it's purpose perfectly. Camden is just over 2 miles away, and on the way we passed Mme Tussauds and Regents Park, as well as various mainline and underground stations. I would definitely use this hotel again as a base for visiting London in the future, and would reccommend it to others.
