A one night stay in London is never going to be cheap, but this hotel's location was right for where I needed to be and suited my needs.
Initial impressions were ok. Customer service involved checking me in, telling me where my room was and checking me out again, which was all perfectly adequate, but not exceptional by any means.
As I wasn't dining at the hotel and didn't have the breakfast, I don't know what the food was like, or indeed if there was any!
The room I booked was a single and so I wasn't surprised that it would be small. I didn't think it would be as small as it was though. It was cramped to say the least, though everything you'd expect was present.
Though the room iteself was clean, the carpet left a bit to be desired, with the odd stain here and there. The single bed was comfortable enough and suited the purpose, since I managed a decent night's sleep, even though first impressions suggested I might not.
The small size of the room was reflected in the quality of the en-suite - which was tiny, but again, adequate for a one or two night stay, with nice fresh towels and soaps, shampoos etc.
The vanity tray contained a good selection of teas and coffees and a plentiful supply of UHT milk cartons - though I always bring my own milk anyway, as I dislike the UHT stuff.
All in all, the hotel lived up to my expectations and provided a comfortable enough stay.
