My two night stay in London

I found the hotel in a very clean and tidy condition. The staff were pleasant and helpful when required. The plus points I was upgraded from a single occupancy to a double room and the car parking is FREE not as stated in the listings as an extra cost.

When is a hotel bar not a bar? When it is a mini bar (without any chilled wine)!

Glorified Bed and Breakfast but without any bacon and nowhere near the published amenities. Great fun with collapsible shower doors and twin beds in a double room. If you have a large car don’t attempt to use the car park unless you are prepared to pay out for a new paint job.

Lovely room!

We had a fantastic room with a large bed and a little seating area with two chairs and a couch. The last time we were there we had a tiny room but it was still fine. This was just so much more comfortable and sunny. Very relaxing. The hotel breakfast area is clean and sunny and the food is OK: scrambled eggs, beans, sausage, tomatoes, toast, yogurt, cereal selection, OJ, tea/coffee. Each room has an electric kettle for tea. Our room had a bathtub with a shower (the last room we had here only had a shower).

Badly plumbing experience

The room was small and the bed was only 4ft definitely not a double. The double glazing did not cut out the noise of the traffic. The plug in the sink was of the wrong type and did not work the sink took an age to drain( who needs a plug). My wife dropped an earring into the sink and because of the plug disappeared down the hole. Luckily the plug hole was blocked with hair which stopped the earring going any further and was retrieved. Removed the hair and the sink drained, fixed the plug and saved the day. I urge the owners/managers to review the maintenance people you employ because they are ripping you off. Get their qualifications checked. I have stayed at this hotel before and it is one of my favourites. This is only time I have had a problem visit.

Avoid the attic rooms 58 & 59 and it might be OK

The hotel is next to a very busy junction. This is very convenient, Chiswick High Road is fantastic, plenty of places to eat. But this also means lots of traffic noise for the rooms facing the road. The attic rooms 58 & 59 probably suffer most from this, don't expect to be able to sleep after 5am without ear plugs. Its location is great, Chiswick itself is lovely, the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was nothing special, coffee machine was great as long as you like your coffee really really strong. As a cheap and cheerful stay it was OK. The room itself was very nice but overall, the sullen staff, the mediocre breakfast and the road noise mean I'll try the nearest premier inn or travel lodge (which are similar prices if not slightly cheaper) even though they're not as conveniently located.

Well located, reasonably quiet, clean and tidy no faults with the accommodation. The parking is a little snug with a big car, visitors should be advised to drive something small but at least it has parking. Good choice of restaurants, pubs and cafes close by. Breakfast was disappointing which was the only negative aspect of our stay.

Good Basic Accommodation

I booked this hotel for the Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium. As I am a female travelling alone, I wanted somewhere that felt safe, was in a nice place and on a tube line, but was also clean and not too expensive. This fitted the bill perfectly. Many budget hotels were charging twice as much as I paid for this weekend and the Chiswick Palace has a bit of character as well as a good breakfast and helpful staff. My room was in the annex, just across a very nice garden from the main building, and although it was very small, it had everything that I needed. Turnham Green, just outside the hotel, has loads of coffee shops, restaurants and interesting small shops and has a real family but cosmopolitan vibe. There is a small Sainsbury's just across the road and a Waitrose about a ten minutes walk away. I would say that Turnham Green Tube Station is between 5 and 10 minutes walk away, but it is a safe, pleasant walk. I would go back again.

Great place for a short stay

My husband and I were in Chiswick for a wedding. The hotel is conveniently located on the high street within easy walking distance to great shops and resturants. The staff was very helpful. We stayed in the main location, but the hotel does have annexed buildings close by. Many friends stayed in the annex areas and enjoyed their stays as well. The breakfast was simple, but had good options. The tube stop was close by. We woud definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. The room was clean, the bath was a great size.

The location was good, close to underground station that is accessibale to anywhere in London. The reception staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The room was very clean, of a good size and in general the hotel was of excellent standards. a wonderful breakfast was included in the price which was also lovely, however there was one member of staff that appeared he had just woken up from a night out and didnt want to be there clearning up after people at breakfast which seemed to let the staff down on this review.

Friendly helpful staff, warm and quiet (if you get a back room)

I asked for a quiet room and was allocated a room in the annex (ground floor), which was seemed damp, cold, and a little lonely. However, the receptionist was happy to move us to another room in the main building (second floor), which was lovely and warm, and as it faced the back of the hotel, was wonderfully quiet. Although breakfast was included, we didn't bother - for no reason other than we're not big breakfast eaters. The room was clean and whilst I personally found the bed a little hard, others might prefer it so. The room was spacious and had two comfy armchairs. There was no bath, just a shower, which was just fine and the water lovely and hot. It's close to Turnham Green tube station and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, which makes all the difference to a hotel stay.

Overall, good!

We stayed overnight on a Saturday and found this a fine, reasonably priced hotel in Chiswick. We paid £110 and the room, albeit small, was clean and had everything we needed - en suite, TV, tea & coffee facilities. Check-in was smooth and the price included breakfast, although we decided not to have this (it seemed rather crowded in the breakfast room). Great location on Chiswick High Road, close to many restaurants, bars and pubs. Overall, good - we would use again.

Leisure stay

Whilst the room was very clean it was very very very noisy. could hear traffic until very late at night. The way the single bed is situated your head is level with the door therefore you hear even the most considerate of other residents going to their room. Unfortunately my stay must have coincided with less considerate clientel as doors were continually being banged about.
I would not recommend room 17 for this reason, its right at the top of the stairs next to two sets of double doors and on the front of the hotel

Not perfect, but outstanding value for money in a great location

Hotel is superbly located towards the eastern end of Chiswick High Road, within easy walking distance of an outstanding range of affordable restaurants, pubs and bars- even the most fussy should find something to suit, although Chiswick is a little lacking at the very high end, if that is important to you (I lived pretty close by for nearly 10 years)
Other reviews have mentioned the narrow access to the car park for owners of larger cars. I should add that there is limited parking available without needing to go to the rear car park, which would comfortably take anything up to the size of a Transit, although you would probably want to arrive early to ensure availability, as it's first come first server. For what it's worth, my 5 series was easy enough to get into the rear car park, and it's fairly large, but larger SUVs and People Carriers might struggle. I should also mention that you need to approach the hotel from the Hammersmith direction to get into the main car park - there is a turn restriction.
The nearest Underground station is about 400 meters away if you're planning on going into Central London. The location is generally safe if you should find yourself returning to the hotel late at night, being on a well-lit busy main road close to a very popular area for eating out - there are plenty of people around until at least midnight, and later close to weekends.

Our room was spotlessly clean and in pretty good condition (bathroom excellent). Beds could have been better, but were acceptable for the price - if you suffer from backache, you might want to pay (considerably) more for a better standard of bed in your room. Breakfast is a pretty standard buffet affair - eggs, sausages, beans and a selection of cereals, yogurts, bread and pastries. A welcome bonus is that tea and coffee are available at no extra charge 24 hours a day from a machine which makes most forms of coffee from real beans.
The hotel staff were excellent - friendly, warm and helpful.
For the price and location, this hotel is outstanding value for money - especially considering that parking and breakfast are included in the room rate.

Long weekend in Chiswick

Hotel located in Chiswick at a busy junction. Basic 3* hotel with free car parking - did just what it said on the can. Friendly staff. Hotel is just a few minutes from Turnham Green tube station and about 30 mins into the centre. Felt safe even when walking back from the tube on a Friday or Saturday night. A minor observation - there was room safe - very nice - but this was not attached in any way! Also no bacon with the cooked breakfast. All in all though, very satisfactory and would definately stay there again when it was convenient to have a hotel with car parking.

A reasonable accomodation at a fair price for London

If you want a hotel that has parking, is close to the underground and is very close to the centre of London, then this is the place.
For the price, (and breakfast was included) it was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly, even moving me from a front room overlooking the busy main road to a back room, which was very quiet, without me even asking!
Would definitely stay here again without a shadow of a doubt.
