Where It Is
Opened in 2009, Bermondsey Square Hotel is located in the trendy village-style district of Bermondsey near Southwark on the south side of the River Thames. Visitors will find themselves a mere five-minute walk from the iconic Tower Bridge, while a walk along the South Bank reveals a whole host of attractions to enjoy, including HMS Belfast, Shakespeare's Globe and the Tate Modern art gallery.
Getting Around
London Bridge is the nearest big train station, and is easily accessed just a manageable 15-minute walk away through South London. The accompanying tube station serves the Northern and Jubilee Lines, allowing you to make quick journeys to locations such as Kings Cross, Westminster, the O2 Arena and Stratford.
If shopping is your thing, the number 1 bus stops at the end of Oxford Road, allowing you access to all the high street brands. Other convenient services include the number 53, which stops in Westminster at the historic Horse Guards Parade, and the number 63, which will take you all the way to Kings Cross.
What To Expect - Rooms
Bermondsey Square Hotel houses 79 fantastic rooms that offer all the style and special features you would expect from a London boutique hotel. Each room offers a marvellous Apple television that can integrate with your laptop or iPod, while guests can also enjoy a mini bar, free Wi-Fi access and a large, soothing rain-style shower in the stunning en suite bathroom.
What To Expect - Dining
Opened in February 2012, Gregg's Table Bermondsey is the creation of Gregg Wallace, one of the judges on the popular television series Masterchef. The eatery offers guests delicious versions of classic 1970s dishes such as lobster thermidor and mulligatawny soup, while anyone who has ever seen Masterchef will know that Gregg will ensure the puddings are as indulgent as delicious as they should be. Diners have a choice of cosy indoor seating or, if the weather permits, a pleasant meal out on the terrace.
Anything Else?
With on site parking, efficient room service and free Wi-Fi access available, Bermondsey Square Hotel really does combine style and convenience.
